I'd keep Mctominay and Shaw for another season, at least. Rashford, quite frankly, I'm sick to death of the guy. But if he stays, I will back him, of course, while biting my tongue.
Facts
Why would you keep Shaw for him to miss 3/4 of the season as usual. We need a LB he will be there to provide cover if he is not sold.
We have to be realistic. We have a lot of deadwood in that squad but we don't have the financial muscle to move them on and replace them in a single window.
Rashford and Shaw should stay because the left side of the pitch is not as horrible as the centre back and midfield. The resource we have right now should focus on bringing in decent centre back (to replace Varane), a defensive midfielder (for Casemiro) and a striker (for Martial).

Very promising that finally Ten Hag is getting the right structure above him and very good coaching staff but that has to be backed up by the right signings to give Ten Hag the best chance of implementing his and his staffs style of play, that though might take two summer transfer windows between in’s and outs.
He has been backed by the players he wanted so no he shouldn’t have as much of a say who comes in because of ineos listens to him we will end up with another bunch of flops

How many "other teams" have really signed anybody in the last few weeks? Most marquee transfers are on hold until after Euro, and to say that we are ONLY talking to coaches and not players as well is just more agenda-driven hater nonsense by someone who doesn't have a clue about the business of football.
While player signings are important, bringing in experienced coaches like Van Nistelrooy and another from the Dutch league enhances strategic planning and player development. Their expertise and alignment with Ten Hag's vision can significantly boost the team’s performance.

@@carlboss8105 I agree coaches is probably more important than signing players these coaches will be on a similar page with eth and even if we don’t sign lots of players the coaching upgrades like here could still potentially get some of the current players play attractive football especially ruud van nistelrooy keeping the same old coaches hinders the mangers style of play. Kudos to Ineos by giving eth the tools to implement his style of play by upgrading the coaches l can say the sun is starting to rise over old trafford

Think he will get a chance. Haven't been really linked to a winger as of yet. He needs a run of games last pre season you can see ETH did fancy him, but he got that injury, and everything went left. Hopefully, he turns it around.

It’s all well and good saying no excuses next season but it all depends on what players we bring in if we’re stuck with some of the deadwood which we will be how different do you except it to be. Two seasons time we will see a difference not next season.
I think it’s important for people to remember that it’s not ten hag running the show anymore. There’s no more “eth bringing in Dutch people”. Even if he suggested RVN, ineos had to sign off on that. RVN isn’t ETH hire and could’ve even been hired without ETH completely sold on RVN.

A club does need some independence from the manager....
Hopefully this allows ETH freedom & oversight on coaching & to assess the academy too.. so he has line of sight on the academy pathway to the 1st team.
Ineos seem to be making strategic & sensible decisions ... its a long way to go until those accumulate benefits on the pitch but ground work is being laid. Compared to the Glazers & woodward, what we are seeing with Ineos & execs are competent decisions being made a relative lightspeed...

Does anyone know how or in what style erik ten hag plays , after 2years i still cant see it . One good tactical performance was their last game against man city otherwise i saw nothing all year . No way of playing no system just hope a 100mil player will show up on the day and produce some magic , we have no play style no system under eth , i like how he speaks but otherwise i dontknow what we are trying to do on pitch , wouldnt mind finishing as low as we did if we could see progress i dunno how i feel about this .
