Religious politics doesn't work in kerala like it happens in the north. You can't ban beef or demolish a mosque and turn that into votes.. People hate such issues. But there's a constant fear that the bjp will gain some support in the state however little that may be, the hate they are spewing and their attempt to bring together upper caste fundamentalists and male-supremists is terrifying. The male supremacy finding foothold among mostly old and middle aged women is kind of tricky but can be attributed to some leftovers of a sexist past which normalised male supremacy and integrated that into cultures making it look not that bad.

I love the enthusiasm of these kids ......I m also a person from Kerala but I don't agree to one statement that women don't feel safe in Kerala .......I did my graduation from North and have travelled in most parts of India and I feel even though Kerala is not so developed such as other metropolitan cities/states ...... My home town is one of very rare places where I have seen single lady move through town even at 11pm and travel alone in autos or taxi and I believe it's due to the attitude and mid set of the local people i.e. they see every "human being" as their brother or sister

Religious politics doesn't work in kerala like it happens in the north. You can't ban beef or demolish a mosque and turn that into votes..
People hate such issues. But there's a constant fear that the bjp will gain some support in the state however little that may be, the hate they are spewing and their attempt to bring together upper caste fundamentalists and male-supremists is terrifying. The male supremacy finding foothold among mostly old and middle aged women is kind of tricky but can be attributed to some leftovers of a sexist past which normalised male supremacy and integrated that into cultures making it look not that bad.

I love the enthusiasm of these kids ......I m also a person from Kerala but I don't agree to one statement that women don't feel safe in Kerala .......I did my graduation from North and have travelled in most parts of India and I feel even though Kerala is not so developed such as other metropolitan cities/states ...... My home town is one of very rare places where I have seen single lady move through town even at 11pm and travel alone in autos or taxi and I believe it's due to the attitude and mid set of the local people i.e. they see every "human being" as their brother or sister
