I'm Korean American and love to see my favorite Korean dish is also your favorite. Bulgogi is sliced thin because beef cuts that have most flavors are usually tough. Either chuck or brisket. By slicing thin, it gets tender. Also originally, Koreans would marinate the beef in the Bulgogi sauce and vegetables for few hours in the fridge. Which also helps tenderize the meat. We usually keep large potion marinated in the fridge up to a week and just cook some of them whenever ready to eat. Makes for great quick meal. Great thing about Bulgogi is it goes well with anything. Rice of course but you can also make a sandwich out of it which is also my favorite. Or wrap it in tortilla.
I've been to Korea a couple of times and bulgogi is a great dish and you are right, it is thin sliced beef usually cooked on a grill. However, bulgogi is the meat dish. When you put rice in a bowl and add vegetables and the meat on top that becomes bibimbap. They usually add a fried egg on top. Delicious meal. A good field dish and will keep you going. Good luck with harvest.
I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again, that chilled relaxing background music in your videos are perfect for your peaceful nature and really suit your personality and content, well done you amazing girl. All the best!
If anyone has issues cooking rice I highly recommend getting a rice cooker. It's a game changer and just works. Buy cheap bulk rice and rinse it off in mesh strainer. Then throw it in the cooker with water and whatever you want to flavor it with and it's done in fifteen minutes. I will never use a pot on the stove again and have a sticky clumping mess. The cooker is just magic.
Recap! Ran to the grocery store to get what i needed. Invited the family down for diner and adults drinks around the firepit. Your recipe ,well close to it , was a big hit!!!! Thank you!!! They loved it. Family, friends ,firepit, drinks. It doesn’t get any better. Country LIFE!! Thank you for a memorable afternoon!!!!!
The Bulgogi marinade is now on my shopping list. This looks super easy and I really like that you can prepare multiple meals and freeze them for later. Can't wait to try it!

Wow Erin yet another delicious meal .. do you deliver 😂 mind you I’m abit to far away .. Good luck with the rest of your harvest we are all done and dusted over here even done the maize 🎉. 60% drilled just waiting on some rain before we finish up planting 🤞
That looks so yummy!!! Great fast meal. Sure I’ll never find that bbq sauce in my town so gonna try it with my favorite bbq sauce. Really like your cooking videos. You have such great ideas. Hope you enjoyed your much deserved night off. Take care Be safe
I lived in Korea for a few years and rice is easy. 2 parts water to 1 part rice. Boil your water, drop in a pinch of salt then the rice cover the pot and simmer for ~18 minutes. Do not check! Bibimbap (literally mixing with rice in English) is your dish. You just need a bit of chili paste (gochujang) or Soy Sauce.
Preparation Stove Servings Rice Water 2 1 cup 1 cup 4 2 cups 2 cups 6 3 cups 3 cups Boil water. Add rice, stir, cover and remove from heat. Wait 5 minutes, or until water is absorbed, then fluff with a fork. Microwave Servings Rice Water Minutes 2 1 cup 1 cup 6 min 4 2 cups 2 cups 8 min 6 3 cups 3 cups 10 min Place water and rice in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover. Microwave on HIGH. Wait 5 minutes or until water is absorbed, then fluff with a fork. Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate.
Again!!! I have to come over and take out the trash... OMG girl, I'll vacuum do the dishes, pack your lunch, make you a stunning breakfast... I'm done with you you can't get the trash out!!! Lollllll You're killing me!!!
It looks good, but it could be taken to higher levels. This is probably going to be my longest post ever on the internet, but I feel it is necessary. 1. Get a big pot and heat with a dash of water. Then brown mince, with onion and 2 beef stock cubes. Also add a generous helping of sea salt and black pepper. 2. Add roughly 2 litres of water and bring to the boil. Then add thick sliced carrots and chunks of turnip. Reduce to simmer and wait about 15 mins. 3. Add chunks of potato. Give it another 15 mins. 4. Start adding chunks of pepper, mushrooms (chestnut my favourite) and big slices of red onion. 5. Wait about 10 mins and then start adding gravy granules and another 2 stock cubes. When it gets to your liking, add some more sea salt and black pepper to your preference. Enjoy 👍
Wow! She grows stuff, cooks stuff and is easy to look at. Thanks God.
Not bad videos either...the full package
