I've bought the book a week ago and I was reading it. And now you uploaded this! Perfect timing. Gosh I want the strike to be over soon. Can you do another video about current strike situation?

Amazing! So glad you got the book. Yes I'll be doing an updated one soon. 😁

My first PA position was on an indie, pre-internet. I remember typing teleprompter copy on an electric typewriter in allcaps. If you made a mistake, you crossed through it with capital X's and kept going. There wasn't time for correction tape or white-out. I'd love to hear from those who were pre-teleprompter and wrote out cue cards. How times have changed!!!

How many hours a day do Office PAs work? I know on set PAs are expected to work 12+ hours.

It's the same for office PAs. They work long hours as well.

@@BeyondFilmSchool Ugh. Do the hours get better once you work your way up a little- like as a production coordinator? Or is it even longer hours once you work your way up (excluding producers)?

That's a good question for production coordinators they work the same hours. But they usually work in a staggered shift. For example the APOC will work the early hours and then maybe 3 or 4 hours later the POC will come in and cover the office till set is done shooting
