Bro this is so damn easy thanks for this video gonna save me a grand in labor 👏 FYI for anyone doing this: WATCH YOUR BRAKE LINE be careful dont rip it
I''m having trouble getting the bottom bolt out. I tried using the pry bar as shown at (5:49). Bolt is rusted and used WD40. Do you have any ideas or trick to free it from the strut assembly?
There are a couple ways to do that. Put a jack under the strut assembly. Be careful but you probably don't need much movement. You could also loosen the upper assembly at the top of the wheel well by loosening the nut and tapping on it to have the pieces separate. You can tighten it back up once it's all together including having the wheel on and the weight of the car. Good luck!
your the man no introduction just get to the point 👍 all these fake is250 car infuseist. your the real mechanic
Very straight forward! I used it as my guide to replace the whole assembly on both sides...thanks!

@@alanspilde8194Hi probably you got it out already, but if still having trouble, while you are prying at same time you could hammer it.
@carvision4197 This worked 💪 Thank you!
How are the struts holding up? Thinking of getting the same ones

I cannot get the bottom bolt to line up again. Been at it for over an hour. Is there anything you can do besides using pry bar?

Why take off the strut mount... Just take off the nut at the bottom and push down on the wheel assembly then you don't have to move outter tie rod
Have you actually done this? It does seem like that would be easier but is there room to get the assembly out?
I have those same rims on my IS 250
I think they look great
