This video is first video i liked a lot! Very short and very important to show what is about and stop! Amazing! Tired with others video bla bla talking!! Thank you! New subscriber!
Absolutely wonderful, easy to follow, straight to the point. Thank you for the very informative video. It's amazing how a lot of us don't even realize how easy this is, and imo, it's probably one of the most important tools to learn in life, for survival.
I have been looking far and wide for the exact information you have presented here. Many thanks! I am a new apartment gardener, or an you kind of gardener. I am going to check, but I think I have all male plants😂
The best video ever, short and to the point. I was trying to learn how to pollinate cucumbers, but encountered so many long videos and long wordy articles, theorising, showing off their broken English and wordy explanation, focusing on selling their videos and articles. I ended up wasting time and learning zero. In sharp contrast, apart from your cheerful personality and great language, in less than a minute, you have achieved so much and imparted all the information needed for the self pollination of cucumbers. Well done and many thanks. Your website is equally great, informative and to the point, cut to the chase rather than beat around the bush. You are a shining star👍👍👍👍👍
Great video!! Does it matter if I do the same thing, with the paintbrush, over and over with the same flowers, or do I need to be careful and not repeat it? Put another way, if I did this daily, for all flowers I can see on my plant, would that be a problem?!! Thank you!
@@yohannchineegadoo6444 thank you for the reply. Strange because I thought my season was all but done, my 3 straight eight sucker pruned main vines are huge but no females, so I just let my suckers go instead of pruning them like usual ,and all my suckers are booming with cuks, STILL not a cuk on my main vines!!??
Do you just hand pollinate once or Multiple times each day? I know cucumbers have a lot of seeds so I dosing know if hand pollinating just once is sufficient
Some are female only varieties. Cucumbers do not always need to pollinate. Often pollination makes the fruit bitter so it is one of the few plants not to Pollonate. I think this video is very misleading. All old gardeners know to pull off the male flowers. No pun intended. I but female only seeds. Hybrids. Cucumbers need a high potassium feed.Low nitrogen feed Warm weather. Sunshine. Lots of water.
I planted a bunch of these plants on a whim. Weeks later they have spread all over my backyard but no cucumbers. Now I know why and it's childish so forgive me but I giggled at the concept of artificially inseminting my plants.
I love short videos straight to the point
Video - to the point, no hanky panky.
Me too..
tru
I love how fast you got the info out
No intro or preamble, I love it.
THIS IS INCREDIBLE. You couldn't have made a better video to help me and all of us. BRILLIANT!
Thank you so much! This video was straight to the point, helpful, and I can’t wait to grow some delicious cucumbers!
thank you i was so concerned about my cucumbers not having any fruit and having the females dry up. this explains so much

Nicely done . Short and sweet.

Wow… learning about cucumber sex, I’ve gotten too lost on the internet

Thanks for keeping it short.

Thank you, we are growing cucumbers for the first time and this info will be very helpful.

I am growing Cuca melons from my Lettuce Grow Farmstand and this will be required for my setup. Thank You !!!!
This is a great to the point video. I tried this and believe it’s working.
Short and nice. Thanks.
thank you for making this 1 minute about pollination, and not 16 minutes about the presenter!
Great video with so much info under one minute!
How simple! Thank you (running to get my Q-Tips now :D )
:D gl
I found this interest because did know this about cucumbers

Thank thee, I had it backwards but I'm gonna help my cukes and they are bountiful and beautiful this year.
Great video; thank you for that!
Great information!
Thank you! Ever video shows you how but not the difference between them! This was so helpful; But why do I only have male flowers on my plants(2)??
Me too!! I hope someone answers, as I am curious too!
Male flowers appear first, but eventually female one do come up

Where was the consent? I am outraged.
Haha! Plant porn. 😂

Thank you Bonnie. Quick and to the point
Thank you!
Thank you.
Wow Thank you For the info
Thank you for the video but do you only have to do this once or do you have to do it every day
Thanks
Better to buy at the store, it’s far faster to get cucumber. ❤
Can I use the same MALE flower to pollinate other FEMALE flowers?
Yes
That's great but what if you only have male flowers? How do you get the female flowers to being?
Magnificent!
Thankyou 👍👍👍❤️

Good question
I've been doing some research and order a Garden Guide. Everything I have come across insinuates you only have to do it once to each female.
I got a question so i see on my plant i just have the flowers. There are short tiny 2 or 3mm stems, but no little male or female fruit or whatever.
I have done some hand polinating in my day
What about lemon cucumbers? I see flowers everywhere but nothing that resembles any fruit behind it?
I have a few female flowers on my plant but no males yet. Should I be concerned about this?
When is the right time to do this?
Am or Pm?
What if I don't see a male flower what should I do?
Very helpful!
Can't imagine what would make someone downvote a video like this. Gotta be for some weird sicko reason.
I think there is some people who down vote it by mistake thinking the signs are the same.
They were holding their phone upside down.
what if i dont have male flowers

Would it be a good idea to remove the used male flowers because there are ten times more males than females?
Yep. Prune them off
So male flower pollinates female flower. Female flower becomes 'pregnant' with cucumber? How do we get plants to have more female flowers?
And fries 🍟 !
I thought they weren’t supposed to cross pollinate or it makes them bitter…???
My plant is havin only one male flower ,what shall I do 😅
You have to wait. Male flowers come first, followed by female flowers. This is to gain attention of bee to pollinate.

I did this with a brush but my flower fell
👍
I planted a bunch of these plants on a whim. Weeks later they have spread all over my backyard but no cucumbers. Now I know why and it's childish so forgive me but I giggled at the concept of artificially inseminting my plants.
Same here. Didnt know you could do that
Yea...you don't have any pollinators like bees, wasps, butterflies, ect that are making it to your flowers
Why I don't have female flowers 😭😭😭😭
Your polinating not fast enough at 0:45 🤣
So .. it was a cucumber growing there why would u polinate it ? And a couple of weeks ? You mean max of three days i guess
Is this plant pornography
What. It not hu
Wrong video! I was looking for ways to get 1k _less_ cucumbers from
each plant.
That's really erotic. Thanks for the information.
Just ask a human AI
Inapproprate sexual content not suitable for young audience. Very disturbing video showing how sex is performed in nature
I think you got your genders wrong
I don’t think so
good video but all my female flowers fall off when i barely touch them
Squash is the same way. I didn’t know until now 🥲
