    1. this turbine in 3 blades version has more than 1000rpm on wind(550mm blades)
    2. measure with resistance load
    3. measure raw DC after rectifier without controller
    4. measure Voc first( without any load) and then try to make load for 70% of it- in this case abt 40Vmpp which means you need resistor 4 Ohm. good luck

      @@windturbine 👍, it's just your current is mostly dependent on battery charge, which makes readings vary from one situation ie 12V 40Ah half charged AGM to another where we have 12V 200Ah fully discharged standard lead acid. and really 500rpm is low low for this turbine. Have fun!😁

    It must be a good 12 years since I bought a load of Aelou 300s. They boasted 500watt but they were not called Aelous "300" for nothing. The prop was 5ft in diameter with good flat blade area. Yes they were worth the money if you knew to bypass the internal rectifiers and bring the 3 phase down the tower to a separate controller with it's own rectifier.

      But I concur with your assessment... removing the internal rectifier assembly and running the 3phase AC down the pole to an external rectifier is a much more efficient solution. This wind turbine is useful if its installed within 15feet of the battery bank.

    i have a similar turbine the older 3 bladed 400w model i purchased some 15 years ago ,, with the original controller it never produced good power , but with a good controll unit i got 250-300watt is a decent good wind , but man that thing turned fast

    So at 500 rpms the top wind at about 15 to 20 mph 14 watts you will need about 10 of those to get about 100 watts at about 13 mph sound right .note that when the wind speed gets to a strong wind at about 15 to 20 mph the rotor is now a flat surface and the wind can't turn the blades any faster cause the rotor is like a flat plate.so larger diameter generater with more poles at a top speed of about 300 rpms is what you have to work at.average wind speeds at about 12 to 13 mph is what is practical. Case closed!anything more then about 15 mph hardly never happens for any length of time.

      Hi, your observations are also partly correct .... but in my opinion you must always consider the price of an object to make fair judgments, you cannot expect great performance from a turbine under 200 dollars. What worries me most is the duration over time of these products rather than the yield. Then it depends a lot on where the turbine is installed, even an air-x worth over 1000 dollars in a low wind area will not produce large amounts of energy.

      @@windturbine yes you need to be in a high wind area to work halfway decent but solar works pretty consistently thats your best bet right now.

    Just charging an AGM battery is not a good LOAD. Put a 400 watt load on the battery and then measure the WATTS !

    12 volts and 2 Amperes gives us 24 Watts - and 576 watt*hours a day, assuming wind does not stop

    When does the light on the charge controller come on ? Only when blade is spinning. Or when battery is low

    Would relacing with stronger neo magnets on the rotor boost the output on these cheap but well made units?

      Hello Sierraromeo, what would increase the problem is the space inside which is designed for the existing magnets.

      @@windturbine I wonder if the China wind turbine uses alnico magnets? Has anyone verified the magnet type?
      One could turn (lathe) the rotor down to make room for larger magnets , or replace stock ones with N52's. I'm not seeing N52's in a curved/arc configuration.

      mill slots on rotor to receive 20 or so neo magnets, bond in place. should double the voltage and current at low rpm, retain 5 blade torque monster for start up ease.

      @@sierraromeo I haven't had this turbine for a long time to check and of course never fully technical and material data are specified in these cheap Chinese products. It would be interesting to make the modification you propose to see the difference in performance.

    *All small wind turbines actually achieve much less Watt than specified. All practical tests show that small wind turbines hardly generate any electricity. And only at costs above 1$/kWh!*
    There is hardly any wind near the ground. And it is also very gusty, which extremely reduces the service life of the systems.
    With solar systems, you can reliably generate electricity for about 8-12 cents/kWh over a period of 25 years!

    what the prospectus specifies, but only 0.01-0.02% is produced.

    My wind turbine has 3 red wires to connect to the controller which has 3 blue wires but doesn't say which wires to which? Does it matter?
    Or does the controller sort it out?
    Any help would be appreciated.

      The best thing would be to have only one solar wind hybrid controller but there are not many for sale, they are at a good price but for small powers.

      @@victorcamilleri4337 the fact that it works with the drill is already a good thing, consider that the current production starts when the rotor reaches 450 rpm which it reaches with a wind of 5/6 m / s, is the turbine connected to a charge controller? Do you use it to recharge batteries?

      Hi, the cost of the turbine is very low but the yield is not much, there are economic turbines with higher yield. It is difficult to determine the lifespan of these inexpensive wind generators. Many have bearing problems that show up too early. I will try other turbines in the future. Let's see if we eventually find something worthwhile at a good price. Greetings

      @Pekka Hietala = Most Wind Turbines produce Rated Watts at 25 MPH steady winds, not wind gusts. The wind turbine needs to be 10' - 15' above the peak of any nearby roof. Do you have steady 25 MPH winds? Most people do not.

      Hello, the energy meter connects between the charge controller and the battery. The meter measures the energy that comes out of the regulator towards the battery which, being discharged, comes out at the maximum power of the wind generator.

Surely the video turbine doesn't have a lot of power, that's why I like to test these products.
