My take: Most people's lawns have bigger issues than what Ironite can help fix. Unless you've had a soil test done and you're okay on phosphorous and potassium, you'll need something more than what Ironite has to offer. If you've got a nice thick lawn and just want to get the color greener then go with Ironite.
All Fertilizers have easily doubled in price. I was buying Milorganite for 9.00 a bag just 2 years ago, Now it's 18.00 at Home Depot, same size bag! Never had bad results, Highly recommend it.
YUP‼️ 👎 And it's actually not even available in HD stores around here! Last place I found it in an actual store was last year at Ace Hardware for $15.99... Last time I got it at HD maybe 4 years ago it was $11.99... I'm not sure anymore because it was a long time ago but it was MUCH cheaper!
Hi Bill, Will the Milorganite make the grass grow? I just want to green up the lawn and maybe thicken it a bit but the heat of the summer ..? Will the Milorganite be okay?
@@pennyarizzio2824 I applied milorganite about 3 weeks ago & it's made my lawn get greener and grow. It's mid summer and my lawn is doing fine even though i applied a heavier dose than the bag recommends. Just water your lawn
Both products are good but serve two completely different purposes. One is not better than the other. This is comparing apples to oranges. For a healthy lawn, you’ll most likely need to apply the Ironite and then fertilizer.
These have two different purposes. It’s not either or, I use both. Milorganite is my regular feeding program, along with Humichar twice a year to build better soil. Then I use ironite in the summer to boost that green without stressing the lawn and causing a growth spurt.
The two can't be compared. Milorganite is a standalone product, while Ironite is a supplemental product. In other words, you add Ironite AFTER you've applied Milorganite to compensate for Milorganite's low iron content.
Miiiilooorganite ...I put that shit on everything.. Literally. My sister has an SUV now, just sprinkeld a little on her 2 door compact car a week ago😂😂😂😂.

Milorganite has 6% nitrogen. Nitrogen is what pushes lawn growth that you can see. Most fertilizers have 3 numbers separated by a dash (-) I.e. 7-0-7 this is the N-P-K rating. Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium. The best and and easiest way to remember what each number does is up-down -around. Nitrogen pushes growth up, phosphorus helps promote root growth for healthy plants (lawn blades) and potassium helps all around soil health. Hope this helps. P.s the higher the number, the more of it is in the fertilizer. More nitrogen is not always best because you need to mow more often.
Well, I've tried both on my front yard. Do not use MILO if you live in a commnunity when houses are 10ft apart. It will stink up the whole neighborhood. 🤣 I like Ironite better and the Scotts lawn food. Perfect pair!
It looks like they are sold out www.homedepot.com/p/Milorganite-32-lbs-Slow-Release-Nitrogen-Fertilizer-100539618/308888983. Amazon has it in stock here: amzn.to/3oiYATZ. Thanks for watching.
Detailed video, yet short and to the point. Thank you!!

Bidenomics

Agreed, I don't understand why someone would choose these for comparison.
Exactly. I use both.

Can they be mixed evenly and applied at a communicable number seting at the same time.
This is not recommended. lawnmodel.com/ironite-vs-milorganite/#:~:text=As%20such%2C%20it%20is%20not,grass%20grow%20greener%20and%20thicker.
You can. Apply the ironite at a half rate.

Fertilizer numbering goes first nitrogen, second phosphorus, third potash. The breakdown in the video got this wrong.
Truly does work on everything👍👍👍👍 plants, grass, cars, etc😂😂

Would it be bad to add both?
I used both at the same time and I use liquid iron as well. Keep my lawn green for about 6 - 7 weeks
Awesome Video, straight FACTS!
Thanks for the feedback.
Does anyone use both with good results?
Haven’t tried ironite but always tempted to. Milorganite made my lawn and the neighbors’ lawn look awful, not sure why. Will never use that again.
Thank you for sharing your experience. To bad the milorganite did not work out well for you or your neighbors.
The P is phosphorus and K is Potassium
Thanks for catching that.

Thanks for the tip :)
Who cares if people live close?? Do you really care what other people think of you?
You messed up on Milorganite. It's 4 % Phosphorus and 0 % Potassium. You said and had it backwards on the screen.
Will let the video team know.
If applied ironite, and then waited a month, could I go ahead and apply milogranite?
Yes i do it all the time
Great video, I use milorganite years ago in my lawn a great product, but Home Depot don't sell it anymore Do you know the reason why? Thanks

@@trimthatweed-yourgardening2662 Man the price is really gone up thank you so much
I’ve had to order online. Home Depot was having difficulty keeping it on their shelves during lawn season, so they went with knock offs.
Oh wow you pronounced it correctly this time
Milorganite Is definitely a better product!
Milorganite. Is my choice 😊😊😊
Npk not nkp
Thanks!
HA! The NPK he states is backwards.....NPK is Nitrogen / Phosphorus /Potassium...Milorganite is 4% Phosphorus not 4% Potassium.
Will let the video team know.
These are highly dissimilar products…
