    First I think the constitution should be reviewed and nationally recognised First class Kings should be removed from the supervision of state government to the federal and removal or dethronement of such Kings must be recommended by ⅔ majority of the House of Rep and finally approved by the President.
    First class Kings shouldn't be subject to the ridicule of state governors who see Royal fathers as their subjects.
    I congratulate Emir Sanusi.

    We Nigerians 🇳🇬 analyse according to our stomach, not with our conscience. If it favors us, we talk in support, and when it is not favors us, we talk against..

      I can assure you that if another person comes to power as governor of kano state will remove SLS. Look, SLS talks too much which is unbecoming of an emir of kano. SLS is a desperate politician instead of traditional ruler

      @MASTER2PHILIP 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Read about King jaja of Okpobo,Oba of Benin, queen Amina and even Desmond Tutu of south Africa speak out that bring about positive changes to their region, not speaking out is what has kept North Nigeria backward, SLS is an educated Emir, he knows more than you think

    • @AbbeyAdeb
      @AbbeyAdeb 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is not unique to Nigerians that people might analyse based on our stomach, as you say. This applies to all human communities; and you only need to observe US and European politics to understand this.
      You're correct to criticise this behaviour, but incorrect to assume that only Nigerians behave in the way you stated.

      What exactly is the context of being republican in nature? American Republicans? What precisely is the attribute that makes you similar to them?

    • @edwardlani-george1272
      @edwardlani-george1272 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Republican in this context meaning and I guess, the igbos love Republicanism, governing themselves, not through a divine king as in a monarchy.

    • @Tirelesswarrior
      @Tirelesswarrior 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @edwardlani-george1272 I see. Makes perfect sense. I guess that explains the paucity of prominent and structured monarchies in the southeast, unlike in the North and, to a lesser degree, SW. Everything has its up and down sides, anyway.

      @@Tirelesswarrior I'm surprised. Of what benefit is it for being Republican, talk more of being Igbo Republican 😄😄😄 These folks won't stop to amaze me sha

    • @Tirelesswarrior
      @Tirelesswarrior 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +13

      @adeyinkaoladapo5863 😃😃 I understood him, but using the word "republican"😃😃😃 was not exactly accurate word as political parties flip ideologies always. What he tried to aver is that Igbos barely have well-defined monarchies historically, as they'll rather be accountable to self rather than a revered King. The Northerners, due to religion and the culture of( rankadede), like hierarchies and will respect it over self. We in the SW(southwest) have values that are in between both swings. My take is this: A culture of self-government(southeast) without hirachies can help enterprise culture but may hinder being united for a purpose. In the North, defined hierarchies help in being united but stifle their enterprise abilities. The SW ideology lies in a safe middle. That's an approximate explanation.

    I have always held Emir Muhammadu Sanusi in high esteem, and his deposition left me deeply saddened and disheartened by former Governor Ganduje's actions. While I believe that two wrongs don't make a right, this situation is an exception. I wish politicians would respect the autonomy of our traditional rulers, but when there is a violation of the law, they must be held accountable, just like anyone else. No one is above the law.
    My heart goes out in praise of the deposed Emir Ibrahim Ado Bayero. May Allah reward him for his service during his time in office. As a Muslim, I offer prayers for him and his family, seeking Allah's guidance and protection for them.

    I like the guy in kano. He takes us back to four years. This is very important because what happened four years ago led to what happened this time around. SANUSI was driven out of the palace. His family evicted. SANUSI narrated how the kind late Herbert wigwe helped him to receive his family in Lagos and kept them in an apartment and cared for them. Confused SANUSI didn’t know what happened to his family if not for good friends. So giving Bayero 48 hours to vacate the palace is truly lenient compared to what happened to SANUSI. Let the truth be told.

    If you know how Table Tennis is played, then you will understand the reason why it is being called a Ping Pong game. In 2020 at the launching of the book "Dear President Goodluck Jonathan (An Open Letter)", the then Governor Abdullahi Ganduje told us the real reason why he deposed the former Emir, Lamido Sanusi.
    Ganduje said it was a Ping Pong game between Goodluck Jonathan, Lamido Sanusi, Rabiu Kwankwaso & himself. And as you know, in every Ping Pong game, there will always be a winner and a loser. And since it was his time as umpire, he could very well determine the winner just as others before him had done.
    So you see, it's a game after all. A loser can still be a winner under different circumstances.
    No be Table Tennis!
    May our lives not be played like the Ping Pong game.

      That's why I wondered why he ventured near it again. But Nigeria unfortunately produces very few entrepreneurs obsessed with growing enterprises from creating solutions to problems. Most of the elites are used to government positions, monarchies, political appointments, board chairmanship, etc....All their bills are borne by the institution or state. Very few Nigerians like to sweat from the scratch and build.

      At this point, he is more of on exile and cannot come back to the state while there is another Emir. At the minimum, being able to return back and clear his name in history as a deposed Emir, that alone will let him come back even if it’s not a priority to him.

    Our traditional institutions are not safe as it is now. The politicians have dabble into this revered institution and our kings and emirs cannot do without being giving orders by the governors of the federation. It is quite an unfortunate situation. I will advise that laws should be made to insulate traditional institutions from the grip of the governors.

    I love Sanusi because he is a social critic and very intelligent man who talks without fear or favour but I think this Emir position is archaic and a means of economic exploitation of the poor.
    How can you have a position with four functions; religious, traditional, political and administrative given to one man and one family alone in this 21st century. What is the difference between the Emir and the governor of Kano state.? Apart from religious, its duplication of functions, and the flamboyant lifestyles of both occupiers perpetuate the economic exploitation of the millions of poor people in Kano.
    I am not a Muslim so I may not understand the relevance of an Emir but with my little knowledge, I think the position is not needed in the present day world especially when its occupiers are expected to keep quiet and pretend they do not exist!!!
