Expert Didgeridoo player Gumaroy Newman shows us how to use vocals on the didgeridoo to make animal calls and how to use didgeridoo sounds to imitate animals. Enjoy! www.spiritgalle...
To Dear Mr.Furry Man, please stop confusing our kids and pushing out your sexual fantasies on social media, I like banging chicks but you don’t see me with a pfp of Marilyn Monroe right? We know you like beastiality but please keep that fuckery duckery restricted to your search history (for your sake I hope it’s private browser) you must have been dropped one to many times to believe you are an animal that licks its balls and sleeps all day, id imagine you have had a very ruff upbringing but guess what? That’s just life 😅 I swear you furry freaks were raised masturbating to Sesame Street or some shit like bro do you get off on the Cookie Monster? Bro can’t watch a puppet show without creaming his pants I don’t even wanna know how frustrated you get when you go out and see dogs being walked like damn bruh carnivores see animals as meat, vegans see them as friends but furries see them as fuck/friend/food ☠️
Can I just say as an Aussie, your animal sounds are amazing. Have not heard anyone through all my life someone that can do them so accurate. BEAUTIFUL!!
I have learnt so much from watching this video. I have always loved the didgeridoo and now I really appreciate it for what it was intended to do. Thanks a million..
maybe its easy once you get it, but its one of those things that seem physically impossible at first! I can't even burp intentionally so what hope do i have haha
I've been growing a beard recently and I'm glad that I now know I can continue to play the didge while still keeping the facial hair. Great video thanks!
I hope you get well soon. I would like to recommend you this group to you: Tonolec, from Argentina, they also perform music with instruments of the Guarani's culture, fused with electronics. In fact the singer is a Guarani descendant. It also helps me to listen to native instrumental music and I like to know examples from allover the world 😄
I really thank you I have seen a lot o videos about how to play ,but your helped me immediately and successfully moreover ,it helped me to understand and feel didgeridoo better
Fantastic, I'm from New Zealand, and I have been fascinated by the didgeridoo, what's interesting, the night owl in New Zealand is called the morepork, and the Maori word for night owl is "ruru", called after the sound that the night owl makes.
Great video. Thank you so much for sharing your easily understood approach. Having just had a didgeridoo made for me, I've recently started to understand how to circular breath and drone for minutes at a time. I wanted to start making animal sounds and your video was the best one. Thank you for sharing and helping me learn to play this instrument that is always been fascinated with.
When I was little and "Outback Steakhouse" was new, I saw an Aboriginal man play the didge snd I was *hypnotized*. The sound... it wasn't an instrument, it was a mental paintbrush telling a story. The Joey hopping away from the dingo, the Cockatoo yelling the events... I wanted to be able to tell the story too like he did.
hi there. I just now subscribed to your channel. The didgeridoo is a fascinating instrument. I've seen one up close. Because I'm visually impaired, my only way of seeing the world is through touch. I met a gentleman here in the US that plays one. It's pretty interesting, because the sound of it alone is enough to literally take you back in time. That's so neat that you're from two different tribes. The kookaburra has a very interesting sound. It almost sounds like it is laughing. I hear, that making a didgeridoo can be quite relaxing. I like the sound it makes. It's pretty interesting some of the sounds that can come out of one single instrument. correct me if I'm wrong, but the technique you use for the didgeridoo is circular breathing? I'm a flutist, and I use my air for the flute a lot. When I play music and things, I do everything by ear. Braille music is really tough. I tried to learn in high school, and couldn't.
That was really great and informative..✊ Thankyou for taking the time to share this. That was just a very lovely sharing of culture and true secrets of fundamental didg playing bro.. awseome
Great at what you do, and so deeply respect it, but it’s hard to learn much. Especially if you’ve never attempted an animal sound in your life, not to mention in this style! Very difficult sounds to make, let alone master. Very good job.
I know ALMOST all of the "common" native Australian (animal) sounds....... that are/can be "imitated" with a didgeridoo; Nevertheless, I'm glad that this man has explained HOW to "make them.!.!." :)
Hi Lana I do not know wether you answer questions or not. I do have one though. I have a hard time separating the basic drone air used from air used to make animal sounds. Is it just practice? If I make animal sounds while making a weak drone sound it makes my drone sound a stutter like drone. So not a smooth continuous drone sound. I do focus on having the basic drone in the background though. If you do find time to reply I like to thank you in advance. Thanks
Man, you can basically do the kookaburra without the didge, that's amazing.
yah
I don’t think people realise how hard that would be to do with your mouth alone never mind the yidaki
so cool isnt it amaaaazing to watch and hear
He got some talent
Step one:Be an Aussie like me and him (Man in the vid). Step 2:There is no other
I hands down think the didgeridoo is the most beautiful and natural instrument ever
Natural yes beautiful I've seen better unless your saying the design on them then yes but music wise nah
@@Thisguy2736 you are a furry so can you really comment.

Well done brother! People as the man said you can make any sound you like on the didg, you can speak words through it as well.
when he started making those sounds my dog went nuts
These are some of the best animals sounds I have heard!
SO DEADLY BROTHER!
The only way to discover the power of the didgeridoo
i pass out from lack of oxygen just _thinking_ about circular breathing
Cb is easy took me two weeks to learn it!
maybe its easy once you get it, but its one of those things that seem physically impossible at first! I can't even burp intentionally so what hope do i have haha
Try using a thick straw and blow bubbles in a glass, if you can blow bubbles while breathing through your nose well done you got it!
It isn't that hard to achieve
also managed it within a few weeks
This is amazing and especially thru these Samsung ear buds. U can hear it so much more in detail. Dude u are amazing 👏 ❤ thank u for sharing
I've been growing a beard recently and I'm glad that I now know I can continue to play the didge while still keeping the facial hair. Great video thanks!
It is difficult though! my moustache is too thick and sometimes prevents me from creating I tight seal.
My students LOVED this. Thank you
I use native music as therapy for my anxiety and depression
