Would be interested to see a video comparing the best sheeting products. My truck is outside 24/7 so I’ve abandoned beading products (coatings and sealants) and been focusing on waxes to avoid water spots.
Nice to see videos about Collinite Beadcoat. Tried it last summer and thought it was one of the best products i’ve used. ease of use and hydrophobic are top notch, Durability is good. lacks most in gloss and slickness but using echo2 as drying aid with it makes up for it.
Great work. Next time I'm at Cr🍁p Tire I'll pick up the Simoniz sealant to use next winter. For this spring I'll use my leftover Collinite Beadcoat on one car, but for my other car I'm undecided (Pan, Detail Co., or the new Ethos)
Haven’t watched the full video yet but I will say, ADS Amplify was my favourite product of 2024 and something that’s going on my shelf for the foreseeable future. I bought the ADS ceramic sealant a few months ago but haven’t had the chance to fully test it yet; used it for the first time last week as a drying aid but I haven’t used it enough to formulate an opinion yet.
Armour Detail Supply has some really excellent products and I've never seen them try to generate hype (others definitely hype them up though). Everything I've tried from them has performed very well and is exactly as described. My top favorites are Hero rinseless, Ghost tire sealant, Pilot interior cleaner, wheel cleaner and tire cleaner. They also have a really good lubricating panel prep that also doubles as a great glass cleaner.
That's a nice review. I was wondering about the new Collinite Sprays as I have always loved using their Super Double Coat paste wax, and their 845 Insulator Wax. I also want to try their new spray version of 845 as a topper over the regular 845. I wonder if the spray version of 845 is similar to the liquid version and if it's a hybrid using carnauba wax along with whatever synthetic polymers or whatever they also add to it. The products that intrigue me the most are those new Simoniz spray sealant and detailer. I hope they bring that to the USA. I'm not sure if that line is sold down here in the lower 48? If not, maybe Carzilla will carry it or some other Canadian distributor that ships to the USA. I want to try both of those for sure.
@@sheepstardetailDarn, I was hoping to buy those two product's. Maybe Canadian Tire has an on-line store. I'll have to check. Thanks for the follow up information.
I switched to the ADS ceramic spray and Amplify this summer, the ceramic spray is easy enough to use that it can be used as a topper after every wash but I reapply it once a month and use the Amplify in between. I mostly like it because I can buy it in bulk, the 473ml jug works out to be half the price of the Collinite. That is fairly significant savings with the amount of product that I go through. There are 3 Canadian Tires within acceptable driving distance (30 mins, the next is over an hour), I have never seen the Simoniz ceramic sprays at any of them.
With everything being so close in performance wise with good brands. I have went with ADS coating, use the ceramic spray every few months and Amplify after every wash. I live in Indiana in a spot where you can get all 4 seasons in a month and 2 seasons in a week. I used Bilt Hamber Touch-less on it couple weeks ago. Truck had road salt and spray, Touch-less did a beyond fantastic job at removing a lot of grime before doing a wash with ADS Shampoo+. I can't tell which is holding up, but I will stick with the ADS system on my truck.
Great video. Do you have a link /name for the surprise Canadian detailer/ sealer. Also wondering using BILT Hamber auto foam vs BILT Hamber Touchless. Why one vs the other. Thanks. Owen from Atlanta.
Honestly, at the time I first purchased, auto foam was as $5 less for 5 liters. This was also before touchless was reformulated. The simoniz sealants are only sold at Canadian Tire.
@@sheepstardetail thanks again for all your great videos. Always learn a lot. Really appreciate your straightforward no-frills approach. And commonsense approach
Have you ever tested Larry’s products from AMMO NYC? found the gloss from Reflex Pro Top Coat much better than Amplify but would love to see your thoughts and maybe a comparison.
Amplify didn’t do it for me as I didn’t like the way it made my car look, found it looked more muted/ lost its pop after use. currently have their ceramic on my girlfriend’s car and it’s holding up well and we’ve had some snow and -5 temperatures, no wash yet though after 5 or 6 weeks or so.
Shoot us an email if you like, we can try to send you a new bottle. This goes against empirical data we have regarding gloss, and saturation of color with AMPLIFY.
@@armourdetailsupply thanks for your offer but I’m in the Uk, I did order direct from you before you were in the Uk (excellent service) I’m aware this goes against the reviews of Amplify but to my eyes this was my experience, this is on an Isaac Blue Golf GTI coated in Uk 3.0. I have Amplify v1
Funny you picked Collinite and ADS there deff getting serious hype. Amplify is the best of the bunch. I tested just about every mid term (3-6 months) product out there and in general I am left with the same conclusion that none of them to a great job as stand alone protection and im dissapointed. Ive settled on a 12-18 month coating topped with amplify or some other shorter term detailer / light sealant beauvse a 12-18 month ceramic "lite" will get me a solid year so i can reploish and remove water spots and there much cheaper per application than a full coating that will also only last a few months longer frankly. The midterm products are harder to apply and generally all have 1 bad quality.... Products that are actually durable are hard to apply or lack slickness or great beads. Products with great water beads arent slick, products that are slick dont have great hydrophobics or durablity etc. Products like ads ceramic spray seem to hit all the spots but its not durable so ive settled for a longer term reliable base layer topped with something easy to use that helps it along. ADS amplify is in the higher echelions of slickness, solid beads & durability(for a detailer) and wont pull down the performance of a coating. Ive found that its definetly help boosts whatver is on the paint to higher levels. So by itself the water performance is ok to good but when put on top of a slightly weaked base layer it boosts to to higher levels than it would reach on its own. Its an amazing product and solves the protection procedure and routine for me.
That’s where I stand as well. Use a lite ceramic and guarantee at minimum 6 months, usually more. Spray sealants are great for the enthusiast or when any form of guaranteed long term protection is out of the question (if I were doing this professionally, I wouldn’t be promising any durability claims unless the car is coated).
This is exactly our mindset. Glad this is being noticed by others that adopt a similar belief! Our products compliment each other, and are made to be used together for best long term results.
@@armourdetailsupplyI would say that amplify and phobic would be a great combination for long term protection and easy top ups that are durable. Guess I’ll have to get phobic now….
@ it is a rinseless but you can use it as a detailer which I do. It doesn’t last as long as these in the video, but when you wash every week or two like me, it works. I say it lasts maybe about a week and a half maybe two? Isn’t as protective but my car is ceramic coated anyway! I’m sure Amplify is great! I also have Titan from Phoenix EOD. By far the slickest my paint has ever felt. I’ll make a video on it soon!
As you can see by their reply, ADS doesn't make wild claims about their products. Any hype around the brand was created by others. They just make solid products that work, but they take feedback and are always making improvements.
Thank you for giving our products a try and showcasing them to your audience!
Thanks! I’m excited to try them out in the real world!

That would be interesting, but what are products that sheet, but last?
Thanks for reviewing the Collinite products. Have been looking for someone else to test these products.
Simoniz! What a surprise! Would be great if a chemist from Simoniz could explain the product, especially the application temp.
Yeah I’ll be curious to see how/if they even catch on to this.
That was a superb video and I really enjoyed the secret contender aspect of your videos dude
Nice video! Bought ADS when they first came out and only amplify was kept around. Simonize looking promising thanks for your work.
I use Amplify as a drying aid. It’s the slickest one I’ve tried. Smells good too. It seems to almost beat their sealant in most tests I’ve seen

Yeah I haven’t seen the brand do the hyping, just tons of happy customers and other creators. So far I’m impressed!
simonize blew my mind, I'm so hesitant to try this because of their history, but you're convincing me. Waiting for your long term cold testing.
