His new voice is good. People say it's bad or they like the old one because of the sass. The sass is still there, it has the sarcastic sass vibes. And I'm loving it.
There are aome lines that felt rushed, but that's because they have to release it as soon as possible.

I like that they didn't get him to mimic Elliot's voice, because even though it's someone new we'd still hear Elliot. It'll take some getting used to, but I think it sounds good.
i fell in love with tighnari because of his voice :(( so i was really surprised to know he's voiced by greg heffley! old VA has a scarra vibe. tignhnari is a good nerd boy so his new voice suits him best!

Two things: It sounds kinda weird to joke like he’s a “father” figure to Collei now because he sounds like a kid himself. And his tone changed when talking about a Good Question, it was actually kinda interesting but it threw me off with his high energy nerdy personality
Glad hoyo didn't really makes him sounds much like the old one. Tbh anything different from that asshole is definitely much better. First impression, his voice kinda sounds like "dissapointed" Or "uninterested" Rather than "sassy" Or something, probably gonna take a while for anyone to get used to it but personally I liked it so far. Can't wait to hear him in the new event!
Also, knowing how Hoyo and Zachary took just a whole month to did all the recording again and was acting fast about it was honestly pretty cool and deserve a praise.

Idk to me the new VA sounds more sarcastic and I like that more. Old one sounded like a big ego with yes sass, but I could feel the arrogance show through, but that's my opinion. People can disagree with it.

As someone who is attracted to characters first by their voices, I can say with 100% certainty that Tighnari is my favorite Genshin character.
I think my only complaint is that he should have sounded older , like a tutor or something + a bit sass maybe but optionally.
I don't mind that they're going a different direction because of his old V.A. , frankly I think that's great.
I will admit is quite strange hearing other VA for Tighnari, but to be fair, I'm starting to get used to it. It fits the character and they go for a whole new direction to completely stay away from Elliott. A good move

Another thing to note is that Zachary hasn’t done as much voice over work (which is a different ballpark from tv and film acting) except for Kingdom Hearts and some other small roles. This very much sounds like a voice I’d hear in Kingdom Hearts. Not bad, just not how I picture Tighnari sounding.
I don't feel the vibe of "WHAT ARE THEY GONNA DO? LOOOCK ME UP?!" Anymore. 😭😭 but the new va is good either way.💅
Maybe it's because I am already used to Elliot but there's something strange, it's sound like Razor or Cyno.
I did some research and found a VA website with different tones, and I feel like Elliot was between "Eloquent / Playful", but for Zachary it feels like "Conversational".
I'm not a specialist about those words, I just tried to heard different VA, and I feel that Zachary is more neutral / normal voice, still a good thing sometimes exaggerated voices are weird.
But still I respect the VA job, I know I wouldn't be able to do this and people will still like the new VA.
Maybe it was a rush to redo everything because it's not only voice lines but there's Sumeru story too, and it's important to have a different tone because of the previous VA.
Maybe I will get used to it or not idk, there's some characters who are here for a long time and I still don't really like the voice.
Anyway it's was a good and fast reaction and from more recent events older VA(like Kaeya) sound different (yea ppl age) but more "in character", with time it will sound better on Tighnari !

Huh ????? The VA is the same... People never read, Barbara old voice was a mistake, that was "raw test" voice.
They do multiple recording to test different "voice styles" to match the character and also (I suppose) from how it sounds in other languages.
I know the tone is similar in Jap for Barbara, just like Lumine voice that was different originally but then they did a quick adjustment :

I’m a book nerd when I was younger. My favorite main characters are Percy Jackson, Greg Heffley, and Katniss Everdeen. Greg Heffley being one of my favorite genshin characters is a win for me!

I find incredibly funny how i check certain videos and everyone loves the voice in the comments and in others everyone hates it, there's nothing different about the videos in question just the comments

I'm really not bothered by how he sounds, maybe a bit high when it could sound a bit more mature for his character. But what really bothers me is how some lines are a bit...off, of course i don't expect the VA to have the same tone as the original, but my problem is how sometimes the tone just doesn't fit with the character or line in general.
It does bother me a bit how it sounds like Mika, but i guess i can easily get used to it to a point. I just hope that future events where Tighnari appears, to please make some dialogue not sound so off, knowing with the context.

Greg when did he get lost into a forest as and decided to become the forest Guardian anyways my personal opinion on his voice actor is pretty good although I would say my thoughts I prefer they got an actual professional rather than a celebrity voice actor ( although I am completely fine with celebrity voice actors but people want to see more on professionals voice acting rather than the typical celebrities that they get) anyways I'm surprised this is our first let's just say celebrity voice actor we got for this

I've been thinking about that one since i heard it, it might be a mistake in the files? His performance in that line is very different to the rest so maybe it was a file from a different take he gave for the character? Like the way Lisa still has some lines from her old performance but they never changed them
I could see that he tried a very serious voice but he sounds too close to cyno's tone so they told him to make it different, not only that but he sounds like he's reading the text instead of saying it, which none of the other lines have

Ironically, not long after Zach landed this role, he ended up announcing a hiatus because he tore some muscles in his throat. They went through all of that trouble to hire a new English voice actor, just for him to go on hiatus for health reasons a month later, meaning they may have to hire a temporary VA in case Tighnari has any lines in future expansions
Just take time to get used to it. The VA also has loads of movies and even songs he sings if you end up liking him.
It was a good move to not try to copy the old voice so we can just move on with a new Tighnari.

It’s clear the new VA didn’t know how to act as tighnari. At times he portrays him as calm and collected and other times just randomly hikes up the voice and makes him sound a lot younger. For comparison, look at “after the rain” vs. “the value of knowledge”

Exactly. There's a huge difference between 5:43 and 6:17. In 6:07 - 6:12 , the pitch is fine, but the delivery sounds robotic. The 6:17 one just sounds like Mika. I wish they got the person who voiced Linhardt from Fire Emblem instead...

As much as i will miss "Let's sniff them in the Butt!" & "One with the Farts!" I'm glad they changed the VA , esp since I just realized its Zachary (I don't usually play tighnari but in the event I was using him and noticed the difference in his voice and looked at the name but my brain didn't connect the dots until I saw this thumbnail) as a big wimpy kid fan with all books I would like to say I'm actually happy with this change and it will take some getting used to but its definitely better than having a criminal behind the voice of a character in a game
