Very nice...I am tired of the altoids survival tins...too small for the gear I am looking at using daily.
I went to amazon and couldn't find this particular mess kit, your demonstrating..so I settled for..
the 800 ml (3 cup) Food Grade Safe Material Lunch Box/Camping Bento Box Set
with a steamer grill insert and
    a Windshield &
pocket stove bracket stand for Esbit cubes or alcohol stove
    and a Canvas bag.
    Total cost is $34 canadian.

I've been thinking about picking up one of these tins, so nice to see a good setup with it to convince me to buy

Ive seen some nice kits built around these tins, cook and survival, that's why I got one.
In the video I think I said I got mine on eBay but I checked and it was Amazon. Here is the package I bought:
      a.co/d/bAuqEQF
You can get a 1000ml for 5 bucks more.

Agreed. I saw the titanium 800ml mess tin on ebikecnx7239 channel and had to go titanium though.

    👍👍👍 .. Very nice.
Using a Bulldog Clip as a Pot Grabber .. good idea. Thanks for that.
I have similar .. albeit using a set of Aluminium 'Dixies' (2 Rectangular Nesting Mess Tins) as used in the SADF, Brit and other Defence Forces.
These types of set are extremely versatile, 'pack' nicely and are perhaps, somewhat underrated.
I'm prepared to carry the weight of the extra Dixie. I can use the one and still have the other to keep the unused at the moment stuff from absconding.
The larger of the Dixies also serves as a container for my Bushbox LF Wood Stove when doing burns in 'sensitive' areas. It contains hot coal spillage and with some water in the bottom, extinguishes any such spillage, in addition to keeping the surface on which I'm cooking nice and cool.
Another You Tuber 'Walking Man' is well worth a look-see. A Korean guy .. he makes use of the Aluminium 'Lunch Box' and an Alcohol Burner. Simple, tasty recipes therein too.
Always a pleasure watching your posts, thank you for sharing.
Until next time then .. take care ..

I thought about the military mess tins but the new ones are cheaper.
Using the Dixie as a ash pan is a good idea.
I've watched 'Walking Man' his videos are what motivated me into getting a 'lunch box'. The next time I go to my Asian market I'm going to look for some of those packaged meals 🙂
I recently got a kettle that will nest in the lunch box, I'll have a video on it, maybe today or some time this week.

Good video although im not the biggest fan of alcohol burners but your cook kit is still amazing, i have a similar setup but with a trangia messtin the smaller one and a esbit solid fuel stove.

      Thanks
I'm not a fan of esbit (smell, soot and all) although I do own a couple. Excellent survival stoves.

@@planetsideagent The smell on esbit stoves is definetly not the greatest, but i like how cheap they are and in estonia there is not many options.

Agreed. I bought titanium 800ml mess tin from Tomshoo and a titanium Esbit from Firemaple after seeing this and ebikecnx7239 channel. The titanium is so light in comparison.

That’s cool. Is that the bigger pot or the smaller one?

    • @planetsideagent

Its the smaller, the larger is 1000ml.
