- Pradhanmantri's episode chronicles story of India after the death of then Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. Gulzarilal Nanda was appointed as care-taker Prime Minister of India. Situations were tensed and in this situation, two name were in light- Morarji Desai and Indira Gandhi, daughter of former PM Pt JL Nehru.

Well done Congress leader Kamraj, stepped out of Prime ministerial race on the grounds of not knowing Hindi or English. Although he had immense support from the syndicate group, he knew his boundaries and we should respect him for that, unlike other leaders shown in this episode who were hungry for power regardless of whether they deserve it or not.
But such leader should have taken responsibility of taking care of India and not let fell prey to corrupt greedy and international mafia Indira

I don't know much about Mr. K. Kamaraj but my viewpoint is that he was averse to the idea of him becoming the next PM for the simple reason that he did not want to end up being a mere pawn on the chessboard of politics. He had aspirations of being the puppeteer and not the puppet. His not knowing English or Hindi is too simple and straightforward a reason for him to deny PMhood.

Amazing series. I have seen tons of such series on american tv that is intelligent, well researched and non-condescending or non-patronizing but this is first time I am seeing such a series on Indian TV. congratulations. We need 2 dozen such shows on every aspect of indian history,geo-politics,foreign affairs and most importantly Indian economic history. We need these shows NOW to educated india for the crucial decision making in 2014 thru 2020 which I believe will make or break india.

I watched it, yesterday. As a Indian citizen, I really felt ashamed, that still in 2019 we don't know the truth of 11th January 1966's Night...
2nd Prime Minister of The Independent India terrifically won the battle verses Pakistan... Just for the Nation, they signed "The Tashkent Agreement"... And on that night Shastri Ji mysteriously died in the Tashkent... And our leaders didn't even demanded the post mortem of the body...
If there was a person who belongs to the Gandhi or Nehru, this congressi leaders went for all types of investigations...
Though the movie based on the fictional characters, the evidences they have shown in the movie are real...
Still we unable to uncover the mystery of death of Dr. Homi Bhabha, Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, Subhash Chandra Bose...
And many more... In the last 60 years, These congress leaders did only one job to diminish all the evidences ...

Fantastic series to watch as i lved through that history and the consequences of not having internal democracy with in congress party as a result morarji loosing even though i am not a fan of him but he is a able adminstrator.The producton on chinese problem was not chronologically arranged there were many mix up of dates and events.
