    I will be honest, i had my doubts clicking on this video as most pakistani experts bring religion into everything they cant explain and that makes the scientific person in me stop listening to them but i have to admit, your way of talking about a complex subject matter and your ability to stay objective is truly impressive. Aysha - There are two answers to that. First, if you haven't done so already, please join a local astronomy society. There are some excellent ones on Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Hyderabad (some other cities as well...). Then COMSATS has a program in space sciences that includes some astronomy, Karachi University also has a space/astronomy program, QAU in Islamabad and LUMS in Lahore have good physics programs - and physics is the foundation of astronomy.

    Hello Sir Salman, I really respect the way you explain complex topics in such a simple way.
    I have a two part question
    1) What is the nature of particles in quantum fluctuation? And
    2) How come Black Holes evaporate when one of these two particles is sucked in?

    • @KainaatAstronomyinUrdu
      @KainaatAstronomyinUrdu  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Umer - and excellent questions:
      1) I'm not sure of this. But mu guess is that it partly would depend on nature (especially in terms of its energy) and duration of fluctuations.
      2) This is because energy is conserved. Normally, particles and antiparticles are created and they get immediately destroyed. But on the edge of event horizon, one escapes and the other falls into the black hole. There is a bit of a negative energy now in the budget of the universe - and hence the black hole loses some energy - until it evaporates. It of course takes a loooong time - and the it is mostly predicted for micro blackholes.

    The part where you said that natural philosophers of their time didn’t even consider formation of the solar system a ‘scientific’ question and how not only that question today is scientific but the answer is taught to kids in secondary school - gives me hope when I ask questions about the origin of the Universe.
    You know - this episode gave me hope. Optimism. To ask. To hope that there could be an answer to questions that may not make sense today.
    Also - this episode gave some sense of fear; do we know what questions to even ask when it comes to the origin of the Universe? What if we aren’t asking the right questions? What if we aren’t looking at it the ‘right’ way? What if we don’t even know what we don’t know? That scares me.

    • @KainaatAstronomyinUrdu

    How we calculate the age of earth or universe?

    • @KainaatAstronomyinUrdu
      @KainaatAstronomyinUrdu  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a really big question. A quick response: For Earth, we can use the age of the Sun (We can also estimate age from the oldest rocks). And we can estimate the age of the Sun by looking at its size, what it is made up of and its energy output. All of that give us an estimate of 4.5 billion years old. For the universe, we can look at its rate of expansion and then work backwards. This gives us about 13.8 billion years. Of course, there are a lot of nuances in all of these things...

    Grateful sir..

      It is because the universe has been expanding for the past 13.7 billion years - so today the diameter of the observable universe is 92 billion light years... :)

      VASANT RA-THORE hi
      Allah ka koi religion nhi hota.. religion insan ka liya hota hai.. tht is believing tht God is “one” and there no other God.
      Secondly kafir means “he who rejects”.. its nt a bad word.. its jst how ppl percieve it.
      Kaunsa asmaan pa tha?thts nt for us to knw and tht has nthing to do with us believing in a creator!
      All this will be revealed to us whn we will meet Allah..
      we r just told to obey Allah/God, believe in his oneness.. believe on judgement day and do Good deeds.. thn Allah gurantees us Heaven..
      Our life in this world is incomplete.. ppl die while thriving in life, ppl r born poor, some live a misreable life etc etc
      All this is jst a test and our real life will start after judgement day.
      P.S; Allah has infinite creations.. its nt for us to knw wht holds in parallel universes, wht is their in different dimensions etc etc
      Right nw our goal is jst to follow Allah/God’s command
