Arcades in the home are just not the same, an arcade was somewhere special, they died because we went into our homes and played games on consoles and PC, the irony is the people who loved them killed them, I'm as guilty as anyone in the 90s for that but it takes years to later to realise that. A blast on them every so often with emulators is good but again just not the same and the real arcades are all gone around my area, only arcades I see now is on holiday and even though now are ticket ones.
A lot of truth there. There’s something about having a dedicated machine in the gameroom. It’s more than just the game, it’s the collectibility and fun of having it
@@SDTM You have an expenisve hobby that's for sure lol, I guess it's no different than say cars, some people are expensive car collections. I'll stick with Visual Pinball in VR, it's been a revelation and the detail on the tables is amazing.
Virtual pinball is pretty cool and getting better all the time but I don’t believe they’ll ever replicate the experience of playing a real pinball M/C. Point well taken regarding the expense (and hassle) though. I can play Space Shuttle on my Wii for under $10.00 and it’s quite satisfying. Playing the real thing would cost me thousands IF I were lucky enough to find one. It’s a pricey hobby for sure. 💰
@@xyrzmxyzptlk1186 Visual Pinball with Pinup Popper on PC is hard to beat in terms of customisation, variety of tables, plus you can set it for your own cabinets or screens.
