Funny thing is that Selection University IS facing off against a seven nation army: Ooarai, Saunders, Pravda, Gloriana, Kuromorimine, Chi-Ha-Tan and Keizoku.
How bout this: Selection University is indeed fighting eight SCHOOLS, but only seven NATIONS. Each of the eight schools is associated with a nation, except one--Ooarai. Saunders is USA, Pravda is USSR, Gloriana is Great Britain, Kuromorimine is Germany, Chi-ha-tan is Japan, Keizoku is Finland, Anzio is Italy. But Ooarai doesn't have a nation associated with it.
+KEVP Well, Ooarai is supposed to be Japanese but they use mostly German-ish tanks (Hetzer which's technically Czech though, Tiger Porsche, Panzer IV, StuG III) but they do have M3 Lee from USA, B1 from France, Type 89 & Type 3 from Japan. So... theoretically they're German like Kuromorimine but it's more like the ehh, French Foreign Legion where the "manpower" is various nationalities. But yeah, well, if you don't count B1 as "France" being there or Hetzer as "Czech" being there, it's 7 nation army, considering that Ooarai is basically a mixture of all the others.
I don't remember WWII tanks being that maneuverable...Drifting 'n' Shooting? Hell, it seem better than modern tanks in that aspect... Engine + Suspension System + Tracks Upgrade DLC?
Just noticed that not only is there footage from 'Girls und Panzer der film' in this, but also from 'Girls und Panzer: This is the Real Anzio Battle' as well.
I really love the thought of Japan making 5 japanese tanks loose to 1 Centurion, lol 1 british vs 5 japanese and the Centurion did not get a single damage from them while the Centurion only needed 5 shells to beat 5 tanks xD
Is this season 2 cause season one doesn't have the university team, or the Fins , or the mark 4 with the sailors. And the French team which looks hilarious especially the big yelling rest.
It's not out yet. And a lot of the fans (myself included) prefer the sub over dub. But if you do want to watch it in English, your gonna have to wait a little while.
Girls und Panzer, the finest anime ever made. It has a very silly premise, high school girls competing in tank combat as a safe, organized sporting event, because that's just what girls do you know, but its made with such passion and sincerity, and attention to detail, it becomes an artistic masterpiece. Also a million memes.

It's modern day. They use WW2 tanks but modern material science and engines and stuff. The automotive club has done a lot of tweaks.

Das Finale is technically S2 and the last season, Der Film was a movie set in between S1 and Das Finale, but I'd expect you to know this by now...
