Been holding silver for several years. I have been mocked and criticized by several. People have ZERO patience. Now guess who’s laughing 😂 😂😂.
Good job!! It doesn't matter what humans stink. I worry more about earth worms think.
I'm not laughing yet but am smiling at finally being in the black.
Something tells me we'll be laughing even harder soon. Who in their right mind would own collapsing fiat over real value? No one.
Love it when a swing of a couple dollars puts several thousand bucks into my holdings....Never sold an ounce of silver to date...Gave alot for presents to friends and family, trying to give them a heads up, but to no avail... Most People just don't get it...
Well played sir!
As beloved Olivia Newton John once sung Sal, "Let's Get Physical, Physical", that's the lesson we should all take home!! BUY GOLD AND SILVER AND HOLD ONTO IT 😊😊😊😊
🎶”Grease is the Word!”🎶
I wanna get physical, physical 🤣
Those J-M bars are outstanding! I really like those and also Engelhard bars as well. My only bars are 40 x 5-oz. SilverTown Prospector bars that I bought back in 2011.
Silver prices back then were $30-$35 an oz. I quit buying when silver rose above $35, so don't have any $35+ silver. The good news in this is that this silver was bought
slowly over time and in small amounts, usually a few coins at a time or a roll or two of Constitutional silver. My big silver purchases came in 2013-2019 when silver was
much cheaper than it is today, so my costs were averaged down both by much larger buys and by lower prices. It's been an interesting ride. I'll hold my 90% silver coins
but the bars, Maples, and ASEs will be sold during the next silver squeeze when prices are high and silver is in considerable demand. The cash from that will be used to
buy more gold, which is my current interest. Yes, there will be some capital gains to pay tax on but WTH? Taxes and I are not strangers. I usually try to minimize my
tax obligations, such as in my big 401k-->IRA rollover, and my small Roth IRA. Love the Roth. If I had it all to do over again, I would have started a Roth IRA when I was
young and a Traditional IRA when I got older and was making a lot more money. But I don't feel too badly over this, just offering the idea as food for thought to anyone
who thinks that retirement is so far away in time that it's not worth worrying about. It comes sooner than most of us think! Don't be one of those people who wakes up
at age 60 or so, doesn't have anything saved for retirement, and doesn't know what to do at that point. Time and compound interest ARE our friends when we are young
but not when we get older. At that stage they will work against us. PMs can be a good thing to have for retirement. I was already retired by age 55 and started taking
SS benefits at age 62. I figured that the US Gov would bollix that up and wanted to get some of my money back in my own hands. About 1/3 of that was used to pay
living expenses and 2/3 was used to fuel the stack. Wife also had a career and did the same, although not with PMs. My silver stacking goal was met in 2019, so I
only buy silver when it is something really nice looking and at a reasonable price. Such deals are rare but they do happen. My gold stack is doing well but I need to
stack several more ozs. before my stacking goal is met. Was hoping for a gold price pull back in 2024 but that doesn't seem to be happening. We had a very small
one a month or so ago but not down to the $2200 level I was hoping for. May have to just "bite the bullet" and get back to buying again whether or not it seems too
expensive. Sure do miss that sub-$1200 gold price where I 1st started stacking gold. Good luck, everyone. Hang on and stack what you can afford to stack. I really
do think that a time will come when we will be totally vindicated and not ridiculed as so many stackers have been over the years. Our time is coming and I don't think
that it is all that far off.
Your cat is METAL. Worth it's weight in gold for allowing a silver blanket to be placed upon it.
😀😃
Sal, I have some of these bars. Never sell, that is what we do, a collector buys to never sell. It is going north. Cash in the bank has lost a tonne of spending value. A great and honest video again.
Agreed. It would be interesting to see what Sal's J-M bars would be worth compared to cash in
the bank for all those years, not just in currency denomination terms but in actual buying power.
Some of my favorite bars. JM does have the nostalgic feel to them.
I sold 90 ounces just before the price spiked a couple months ago. I'm getting a hunting cabin and a new generator out of the deal, but if I had known to hold on for just a couple more months, I could have made a lot more cash. Never again am I selling a good chunk of my stack just because I want to buy something. I'm slowly (very slowly now!) building my stack back up with a heavy emphasis on 90% this time. The world is going to hell in a handbasket, and I'd rather have some metal to barter with, than paper bills to wipe my arse with. I'll be picking up some more Washington quarters and Franklin half dollars on Monday.
TBF.. We would all be billionaires in hindsight. However you spent it on something you really wanted and will enjoy!.. Life's for living after all 👍
win some lose some can't time the market
Dum di dum dum oh boy
Gold and silver is God's money
Fiat money (our current system) always dies. Man-made
That hunting cabin might mean your survival soon. Great purchase. Especially if you got a good amount of acres with it.
Thank you Sal. So far so good for me! 👍
Those are awesome silver bars Sal excellent report 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊🎉❤ with any luck we're on our way to $40 an ounce sometime soon 😄😊
Good advise Sal, thank you! I'm holding for now myself unless certain collector pieces come up for sale. That sheet of JM bars is nice, I would not be sad about holding those for 10 years😊😊
Great pep talk Sal! Love the purple light & dry ice effect 👍. For obvious reasons, I like the JM⚒ brand, even though I have no affiliation with them. Adorable to see the sheet of bars on the cute little kitty cat 😃🐈
I am responding to your comment verbally on a live stream at this very moment!
Your full stack must be Crazy! Well done Sir! Very impressive indeed, I just cant imagine ! 👍👍👍
Nice. I snagged an at spot round silver eagle and ordered a few small things just as silver was breaking out this week. in the early 1980's when I bid on a few gold American coins the jealous losers confidently told me "you will NEVER get your money back on those!!" The price of gold was about $225/oz at the time. I sold them years ago, but I laugh every time I remember them chastizing me on my auction wins. My biggest regret was wanting to fill an old "treasure chest" with silver dollars, I came close to starting that project a few times but didn't do it ($8.50 ea was the price on most VF-AU dollars at the time.) So close, but no cigar.
😂Even those on the bus had to relieve the mselvelves periodically.
I have some of those bars Sal-
I remember the old Asian guy - I asked to buy one lol
He looked at me and said- Never cut the plastic sleeves. You must buy the whole sleeve.
So I bought one sleeve. After a week I went back a bought another sleeve. Haha
They are some of my most prized bars
A wise man listens when another wise man speaks. 👍
Looks janky when a guy sells a 13 unit sleeve and worse when most of those bars aren’t even sequential but 3 or 4 at a time 2022 some time a place was selling em for $30 n change a bar back when it was 22$ spot. Wish had got more as not long after spot rose there price per bar jumped 4.99 per 4 bar. Oddly the whole sleeve was more than the 4 piece x5 😮
@@JFEnterprize yes
I think my sleeves are 10 bars
Haven’t seen them for awhile after that boat incident.
Really wish now I bought all he had
I see JM kilos going for a very high premium.
The new support is $1000/kilo with Asian markets being the biggest demand.
Very nice i have 5 in the original packaging consecutive serial #'s on the Johnson Matthey bars made a trade for a 5 oz modern round.
Thanks Sal...appreciate your insight as always!...SLURP on Bro 😊
Beautiful sheet of JM bars. These have not held value very well but are still very beautiful pieces. They originally came in sheets of 20x bars. I sold a few loose sealed bars on auction today and each auction closed at right around spot price ($33 range). I think you’re spot on with their market value. Me, personally, I think these bars have much greater intrinsic value and that will no doubt be more and more appreciated as time goes on.
Got a. Bunch of 10 oz. JM bars. Bought them several years ago, they are all older bars, hope my kids enjoy them as much as I do.
Wish I grabbed em off eBay early 2022 I recall 10oz’s selling for 250 for nice looking bars. 265 for absolute mint in the sleeve. Then silver went to mid 20’s and 300 was the bid for a while. Looked last night and 350/400 😮 from dealers listing it. Some 400-500. They are winding up for the next surge I guess.
Bought mine at gun/knife/coin shows.
Holding the Line for The Long Haul!!! Still stacking silver weight each week!!! 🥈🥈🥈
Has Been My discipline don’t buy silver spot and premium over $30
Sal we live a similar journey ….i have sheets of those i bought around the same time as you …i dont remember price i paid but that seems about right ….i love JM products …i want to say they sell for premium because they are more rare and a following ….thanks for sharing
Over the years i gift my daughter PM's every Christmas & birthday, and once for H.S. graduation. i tell her its a long term emergency savings account ,that with any luck she can pass down.
SILVER IS MONEY!
You are absolutely correct
more importantly, off grid money
so true !
JM bars are always pretty expensive but I had to have at least 1 bar with my last name on it and as soon as the price was acceptable I grabbed one up.
Let’s say you were looking at purchasing a 60” tv 10 years ago and bought silver at $30, well that same tv is now 1/10 the price. You beat inflation your metals protect your purchasing power and then some.
Those JM bars have the earlier serial numbers that start with A. Those will hold a higher value than the B, C, or D serial number bars. Hold onto those bars.
If any solid number, that piece is a collector's item.
You just reminded me that I have a sheet of bars bought around the same time. I'll have to dig them out to see if they are JM bars as well. Thankfully I carried on buying silver through the dips and also made some great gains from collectable silver.
I am responding to your comment verbally on a live stream at this very moment!
Definitely love the JM bars Sal. Am i really the only one who gets more excited when the prices are low and the dollar is stronger? Im not selling, not even if it went up to $100. Stacking for me isn't about profit. My wealth is in ozs not a BS inflated debt note.
I bought silver during that time period. It took some real smart dollars cost averaging before I pulled into the green. I can't think about what I bought back then, but I look at my stack as a whole. It's the average cost of your stack that counts. Hold it as long as you can!
I will be quite surprised if there is not a pullback on Monday, in part due to profit taking in the ETF space.
Hi Sal, thank you for the vlog. Would those JM bars be called "vintage". Some people pay higher premiums for vintage bars. I have very little understanding of this whole are of vintage silver. They are awesome looking either way. Nice pickup.
It's nice to see silver going up in price
When is the Salivate Metal video game comming out.Precious metal related video game🤪
I have a lot oof silver I paid around 30$ for. I started after Covid last time silver was 29. I’m holding like you.
You gonna dump at 35$ aren’t you 👀 😂🎉❤
Great silver bars i have a few of those in my stack 🥈👍💯
Popcorn ready for sunday's market watch 👍
Those 5-10oz bars will come in handy...
Nice looking kitty, those bars look good draped over her/him? I have a tiger striped kitty also, her name is Kee...she sleeps with us.
The silver riggers and manipulators are on the run😊🎉❤
I bought another 50 ounces today, my dealer charged $34 an ounce for buffalo rounds.
Ouch
As long as you’re satisfied…👍🏻
Buy it while you still can. I bought 100 oz on Monument Metals just now. Happy stacking!!!
It’s still a deal in the long run 50$ silver in the next 1-3 years
My LCS first time visit sold me 4 bars at 33/ea back when spot was I think 24 but silver was in short supply. Never going there again. Really only went to test some questionable metal I acquired. But jeezo $8 premium.
Sal, you could also look at buying at the recent nominal price. Since the dollar is losing purchasing power, are we in fact getting PMs at a "cheaper" price? Maybe it's a wash if you look at it that way.
The nice thing about owning this kind of silver if it makes you less likely to sell it therefore you're more apt to hold on for it indefinitely and not in terms going to pay off in value for you. 😊
I finally got around to counting some silver in my stash. Mostly just putting into tubes. I found bars and rounds I forgot I had and a lot of junk silver. I found some salivate metal rounds. I’m thinking of if I sold now I could turn a profit of paper. I’m just holding for now
I haven't stopped buying Silver, Gold, and............ *Platinum to da Moon!* 🚀 🌙
😉
Came close to dumping a couple hundred oz’s today but came to my senses and will definitely HOLD!!!!
I bought 130 of those @17 each like 6 years ago.
wow
I think it's getting smacked down on Monday. But overall I think silver is strong and will continue to rise. Usually this time of year going into summer we see prices dropping yet here we are.
I feel you Sal. I've been stacking gold and silver for under 3 year. Paid too much at first then wised up. Always buying the dips and have beaten inflation, so that is a plus. I killed on gold Oct 2020 and followed it up to a point. Still over $500 an ounce. However, what what I knew, there were doubts.
🎶”There is a Time to be born and a Time to Die’🎶
Turn,Turn,Turn!
Love that song... the Byrds at their best.
I find this comforting and allows me the acceptance of death…
Very cool Bars there Sal🎉🎉🎉
I have this exact same stack in the sheets (20 oz) but I have no clue what I paid for them. I just remember buying them after hearing they sold their company.
Minus the tax we have to pay if selling for capital gain..in Canada it's 25% so it has to go way up or it will be a loss
Keep on stackin'!
Kitty loves the silver blanket. :-)
It is a silver lining for a cold rainy day.
Any one of the stackers that follows you would buy those JM bars at spot + $10 easy.
Been stacking for years occasionally sell for a profit. I try to add when prices are low our near spot. I recently acquired some 90 percent 1982. George Washington half dollars proof and uncirculated for 9.00 each.
I am responding to your comment verbally on a live stream at this very moment!
I'm trying to work out how much more or less you would now have, if you had spent that $310 on gold instead at the time.. But it's making my head hurt trying to work it out!.. 😂😂Great video as always Sal ❤
5000 6 month CD or 150 oz Ag?
Depends on what else you own. Either could be good. Or both, for that matter.
First hand experience plus time in is priceless
Nice... I've got me a sheet of the JM Bars as well... Actually did a barter trade for mine... my skills for the payment
I am responding to your comment verbally on a live stream at this very moment!
My cut off is $32 an ounce after premiums probably be about $35 an ounce hard to justify the price right now but it was nice to see silver hit $30+ time to be a bit more strategic in our stacking purchases.
Love the Johnson Matthey bars my friend
I am responding to your comment verbally on a live stream at this very moment!
Just sold 100 oz’s and walked out with 4K
Nice
“Good news, bad news, bad news ,good news”🤪
cool
Sure you did.
Wow!!
I’m still waiting to get my money backs on som kookaburras I bought 30 years ago!.
Having value outside the currupt system. Statement of truth.
Listen to Montrose song paper money !❤
diamond hands 💎 💎 💎 💎 🙌🙌🙌🙌
$12.00 dollar silver Let’s go Again!!!!!
Good thing i didn't Start buying silver in 2011.I bought my first gold and silver in 2014
Stay Tune the Sunday Market Watch is Tomorrow and you might be Under Water Again!! 😢 Great Crypt Display Uncle Sal. 😱
Monday /Tuesday is when the wwe slap down happens. 🎉😂❤
👀
I bought my silver 10 oz. Bars for $161.00 each
Silver should be called like the book, "The Great Expectations."
🙏🏻
The time to buy is now. The time to sell is never. The time to hold is forever. Silver 101
I got 10 of these 10 years ago 5/30/2014. $$22
That packaging is from 2012. I have the same bars.. 😀👍🏻
Sal the most learned man I know
Is their a time 2 fold ?
To every purpose there is a time. But the real trick to it is recognizing it when it comes.
The most I ever paid was $32 for rounds in 2021. Was it a bit of a "panic" buy? Maybe. But at no point did I regret that purchase. I know the true value of silver cannot be measured in fiat dollars.
Ahh yes my good man, the ol silver Kitty blanket
Like all my one ounce generic bars or so so, that I got to my door for $15.85 - 16 and change each. Yay!
I can't believe I spent the last year not buying because it wasn't under $23/ounce 😅😅😅
I use histories prices to make up my mind. The 46 isn’t used but being 30$/28$ wasn’t long ago even at 26 buying was an option just not as much as 22$. On a positive note tho at least you didn’t buy into the silver to the moon fomo 😂🎉❤
@@JFEnterprize lol true!
That was funny, and informative as well.
Times are good if your looking to sell.A bit less if your buying now.👍
You are at least back to even with your silver bars and likely to rise higher. If you had left that in cash you would have held a guaranteed loss--
I hope to never lose money on anything I might have to sell
I'm looking at what to sell. Only because I've doubled my money. And the crash hasn't happened yet. I'm about to double my stax!
Been on the bug for 20 years and if I knew I would be in 40 years, holding and thus would only change with the gold ratio😎
Simple math. At 6$ premium over spot for gold.selling is pointless unless the price goes double or triple or more. Coin dealers don't pay spot any more so the price of silver if it hits 36$/oz puts you at 0$ profit.(24+6 premium) =(36$-6premium) = 0$ profit
Besides if you bought 2000$ for silver , about 700$ of it went on premiums. Gold; 2000$ worth only has 80$ towards premiums
You NEVER lose money unless you sell for less than what you paid to acquire an item. And who in their right mind would do that!?!?!
Sal, at the risk of sounding foolish. Why would anyone buy stock in a mining company or an ETF. FORE when you CASH in don't you receive DOLLARS for your investment. At 3 cents per dollar, why would anyone want anything other than the PHYSICAL PRODUCT?
If you 3x your dollars then buy physical, you win. Spot won’t keep up once the miners take off
Whasssup Sal!! 🤘🍻🎸
Sorry to say I am mostly done buying gold & silver for as of now … Have enough of both … My only buys will be Commander series silver & Zombucks series due to wanting all of them … 🌎🗿™️
That's understandable
The serial number on my 1oz Johnson Matthey Bars start with a B, the one is B057144 and that's how I know you been stacking so much longer than I myself or anyone else in this community lol Kudos! Clean Bars none the less. :)
I called my l c s today and he was only paying 8 % below spot for silver .
Check with some of the online retailers and see what they are offering.
To buy an ounce of silver in Canada is $47.80
My Dollar cost average is exactly the same on the same exact bars.
What a co-ink-a-dink
But I have 8 at 31 each.
Vintage 🤙
we all getting above even my g 😐
Its insurance and profit if you have a strong will
Monday we will see 13% increase the all hell will break loose
If you didn’t sell your Rhodium bar and make a 19k profit I doubt you are going to sell the Johnson mathey bar for 2$ profit😂
He was silly not to sell honestly but hey its his bar
True 😆
