      It's never fair for how some players are compared, regardless of accomplishments. Take the 2000 NFL Draft. There were some amazing 1st Round talents in that draft: Jamal Lewis, Shaun Alexander, Corey Simon, Brian Urlacher just to name a few. But they all get compared to a 6th Round Pick; Tom Brady.

      I disagree. Both are very similiar players legacy wise. Both not the best athletes or the most flashy highlight reel players. Both are postseason experts and consistently played great while playing forever. And both had their criticisms of cheating and being system players. But let’s not forget, San Fran’s dynasty started before rice got there. Tom Brady to me has made such an impact on the nfl since he began I’d say If football was more of a global sport it’d be on the same level of jordon. For two whole decades, there has been one team that has defined the nfl. Two whole decades. The entire 21st century so far. Not just that, but they really are the greatest dynasty ever that’s not disputable to me. I feel Brady is a much bigger part of that than rice.

      Marcus Aurelius That’s right it was Wesley Walker. Rice ran a slow 40 yard dash but his first ten yards were incredible and in the West Coast Offense it worked for the 49ers. And I would compare Rice’s work ethic with Jordan.

    Al Toon was a decent receiver for the Jets but I don’t remember Eddie Brown and now I know why. Gotta feel bad for Brown and his injuries that cut his career short. In the end I’m Glad the 49ers were able to pick the kid from Mississippi Valley State who became the Greatest wide receiver of all time. It helps he had some Hal or fame quarterbacks in Young and Montana. Garcia was a viable quarterback as well and was probably thankful to have number 80 on the team.

    You know, there's always a mystery in regards to the NFL Draft vs the NBA Draft. In the NFL, late picks have just as much chance to shine as first rounders, and more often than not, do, but in the NBA, for some reason, if you're not a first rounder, you're more likely to see yourself get cut. Makes you wonder.

    I remember that draft in 1985 Eddie Brown & Al Toon were the best 2 WR in college football better at that time because how the NFL looked at guys from small school where Rice came from if the 49ers at the time were picking higher and Brown or Toon was available I believe they would have drafted one of them but Rice fell to them and the rest is history.

    • @jacobkemp7050
      @jacobkemp7050 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You can say that about any of the GOATs, right place right time. But the fact is to be the GOAT you have to put up the numbers, accumulate those wins, and perform big in big games. Rice did it, should've, could've, would've, doesnt change his numbers and legacy and that's all you have to go off of in the end is the facts.
      If you start speculating and trying to guess what could've happened than there is an argument for just about any player to have been the GOAT in the right circumstance. What matters are the concrete facts and Jerry has a literal ton of them.
