I would love to have updated AUTO COLOR/LIGHT and maybe easy helpful functions for color and light correction. Most times when I use it the screen still gets too green, blue, pink or orange. Other times the brightness doesnt turn out very well.
Also I would love if there will be a FREEZE funtion for Warp Stabilizer and maybe other effects. So you're not able to accidentaly change something. Just like in After Effects you're able to freeze Rotobrush.
To be frank I’ve been going back-and-forth between Premiere Pro & DaVinci Resolve for a while now. DaVinci has things like “Magic Mask” that work so well (without switching into After Effects). I’m VERY impressed with these newest BETA releases (esp. text editing features). Wish Adobe did this sooner…not leaving DaVinci at this point though. Premiere..your going to have to win me back at this point and continue showing me why I’m still paying a monthly subscription for your services. Otherwise it’s just a matter of time before I’m completely cut-over to DaVinci for all my projects.
Exactly. I just fully invested into Davinci with 3 software licenses and 2 speed editors, after using premiere for several years. I was soo frustrated with premiere that it will be a job to win me back, especially given how lovely it has been using Davinci. Loving Davinci because it has really empowered me. Premiere felt like a parasite
I uninstalled Premier 3 years ago and joined the Blackmagic ecosystem. Once you become familiar with all the tabs in Davinci Resolve you will never touch Premier or After Effects again. Where After Effects could be more efficient is in purely motion graphics projects where you have to manipulate a lot of keyframes. But creating compositing, motion graphics with moderate keyframes and even plugins, Fusion has the advantage.
Blackmagic is the way! Premier Pro is no where near to even have me consider installing it. Sadly I still pay for it on my creative cloud subscription, as I absolutely love photoshop and Lightroom
@@PopoRamos Yeah, same here. Still use Photoshop and Lightroom so still paying for a subscription as well. There was 1 new feature Premiere just added 'text based editing' which is slightly better than DaVinci...but only a matter of time before DaVinci improves on theirs as well. It gets rid of all the 'uh' and 'umm' and pauses in 1 click...such a time-saver.
Davinci already had most of those features. 😂 It's not even fair to compare Premier with Davinci because Premier is a single software and Davinci is like an entire video post-production suite.
Yeah I was going to say that "King" is a bold ... Impossible to compare Davinci to Adobe Premiere because of that its a "post-production suite" all in one. But even if we compare davinci only with his video editing capabilities... it's still no brain... I mean, it's really hard to do some good color grading there...
I’ve switched to Resolve in 2017 and I cannot believe people still use Premier. I had to go back and use premier on an old project recently and was blown away by how bad it was and how little it changed
@@sethwynn5673 Fair, but also Transform effect is useful for Adjustment Clips, as you need that in order to animate adjustment clips. That is why it should stay as changing the adjustment clips to support the default motion tab will break things like masking.

Love the remove pause and filler words function. The next level is for editing long form interviews. Identify a specific voice -the interviewer off camera]-and only remove the questions asked off camera so all that's left is a string out of the person on camera speaking. If you can make that happen in a couple of clicks, you're my hero! Absolute Game changer!
No more Adobe. After another series of crashes (problems as usual well known on Adobe forum but for months or years without solution) I switched 3 months ago to DaVinci. No more crashes and errors during rendering. Huge relief!
Motion track specific points, like in After Effects you can motion track and then apply Transform effects onto it. this is used for tracking an image onto a point or doing a stabilization lock-of effect@@mrJv2k7
They will be adding text-to-animation eventually with Ai taking over. In the future you will be able to say "Create 5 animated variations of this graphic". Just wait. ;)
They can add dozens of features like this but doesn’t matter if they don’t fix the stability! In 2023 premiere still crashing randomly on large scale projects, as a result we are having issues delaying on delivery & its effecting our business! I had to switch in DaVinci Resolve, no crash & there’s more awesome features that makes our life(editor’s) easier!

I used premier for 10 years. Switched to Davinci 4 years ago. First couple months was a rough learning curve, but once I got used to it, I don’t think I can go back to premier unless they overhaul the UI
Love the Enhance Audio, Adobe brings Adobe Podcast to Premiere. Finally this feature available in Premiere Beta. Davinci resolve has this feature couples of years ago.
Really appreciate Adobe for fixing all the relatability issues in Premiere! Love the program already but since you have asked….😂 Please ad motion blur to Premiere. Please make warp stabilizer work on speed changed clips. Please make creating titles smoother. Please ad live save or save in background. (Huge one!) Please ad more label colors. Please ad all the Lightroom color adjustment features into lumetri panel. Please ad auto import of media into premiere. (Like watchtower plug-in does) Please ad video denoiser into premiere. Please ad export as individual clips in Premiere. Please ad Ai face refinement to lumetri. (Or create a new more professional color grading panel) Okay that’s about it 😂✌🏻
Templates will be so helpful for me. I do many smaller projects and that will speed up prep by so much. Also like seeing how Enhanced Audio is evolving. The slider is a must for some pieces of audio.
All of this is good, but if the core software is slow to load thumbnails and clips and import times being longer than that its supposed to be, that's where things get dull for Premiere. An average 100 clip Sony H264 file takes just below a minute to import into Premiere, then it takes another while to build peaks, then it also takes a decade to load thumbnails in, this is on a base model Macbook Pro M1, Resolve is absolutely instant.
Dear Adobe, The silence update alone is insane! Thank you for that. I would love to see more time saver updates when it comes to preparation for a video edit! (also many people have said it before for please please add shutter angle to the default motion panel, it would save us editors a LOT of time)
The “Silence” update was first introduced by FCPX. Then Davinci snuck it in. Now all of the sudden Premiere said, “Hey, look at us, we’re still providing value for you monthly subscription even though those other guys are a one-time buy. WE GOT YOU!” SMH.
Please make it possible that when 2 clips are dragged over each other, it applies a default cross fade instead of clipping. Also make it so when you add a speed ramp to a clip, the clip auto resizes to take into account the shortened duration.
For now, I'm sticking with Resolve. Switcheda couple years ago and couldn't imagine ever going back. With some if adobe's new iterations, I might do a hybrid though. The Remix feature is insanely useful, so for that alone, I'll keep premiere. The coming firefly integrations may prove to make the decision more difficult for me, but I just hope that resolve keeps adding features that make it a no brainer to stay.
It's ridiculous, because they have a decent motion tracker already, but you can't use the keyframe data to apply to another layer to match move graphics, etc. Seems like such an easy fix.
I always love these videos. I have been a professional industry editor for over 30 years. I use the top two NLE's on a regular basis, of course. The industry leader by a massive margin is AVID. Premiere comes in second in a tie with Da Vinci. Some still use FCP but not that many. For longform editing AVID Is the goto for movies and TV series etc. Short form, I favour Premiere.
I would love to see updates that makes the cloud-tools freaking usable again -.- Hate to say that, but BM's Davinci is sooo much smoother and faster when it comes to cutting / editing (Talking about performances)
I'd love to have a feature in Text Based Editing where the AI detects multiple takes of the same shot and trims out the best one among them. An AI that looks for the best speech flow and eye contact towards the camera and selects that as the best take. And if there's a feature where we can upload our script and the AI can compare the script with the Transcript and trim the video accordingly, that would be awesome.
Premier Beta: 1) the voice enhancer is just ok. Adobe Audition much better 2) Still poor at removing background music 3) Beta started blocking sound on other channels 4) I was excited to see the royalty-free music, until I saw it wasn't really free. Now I have to go and check if those graphics I pulled from Express have sneaky paid subscriptions as well. 4) Duck tool. Nice to see something included that Sony Vegas had about 15 years ago. 5) Does run faster/slimmer, thank you.
As a gaming video editor the ability to instantly take out all pauses in dialog is a game CHANGER! It took hours to edit a single video and the only options available before were plugins or apps that you had to pay for separately and then import into premiere.
Hey Adobe ! Loving this update. I feel like one area could be improved tho. The hit box of the arrow when masking. It's way too big, and makes everyone go crazy, because when we want to create new points on a mask, it just gives you the ability to rotate the whole thing. It would be great to be able to use something like the shift key to decide whereas we want to rotate the mask or just add points ! Also, I think you could improve the Color pannels so much by looking at Davinci Resolve. Thanks in advance and keep going with the updates !
I root for Adobe sometimes, but I'm clearly moved on at this point. It kills me to hear that they have a subscription and then they want you to subscribe to buy credits to use "features" in their software. Like wow.
To be 100.. beta still struggles with gopro footage, any frame rate. Once the peak files generate (takes a while) then it is not as bad but still will not play more than 3 seconds before skipping. Text AI, it's the same as it is in Premiere, still no way to move the text around as a group, the captions track or even when upgraded to graphics , still have to nest and position. The punctuation controls don't exist, it does a terrible job at knowing when the punctuations are needed. If the caps lock is on, you still can't alternate tools. If I move too fast premiere freezes, I edit extremely fast and it is aggravating that premiere can't keep up. I understand they want to keep all the "Cool" text effect in AE but come on, there are tons, premiere could use some text effect love. They still have not fixed the iPhone issue, I still have to use SDR Conform or interpret the footage to the REC709 Profile or the footage comes out blown out! I could go on and on. I see no real improvement except for the fan boy junk. I am NOT a fan boy. I pay a nice price per month to use this software and lately I feel like I am being cheated!
I used to like hearing the speech as I scrubbed through a clip rather than trying to get the correct point by looking at the audio output. Also, I often have an issue when I try to highlight a few clips and, if my hand moves up or down slightly, having a section of the timeline (say the A track) suddenly compress. I try to reopen it, but it never goes back to the correct proportions. I wish the program wasn't that sensitive to slight movements.
The day that something like the generative fill ai comes to premier pro will be the day that I understand why I should pay monthly for a video editor. Great update but not switching from Resolve personally.
Great features in Premiere Pro as we are wont to un-stabilisation from them. Hopefully, there will be more positive updates not at the expense of what shouldn't be gone. As always, thanks Premiere Basics ❤.
Not sure if people at Adobe actually are reading all these comments… but I ran into an issue recently where I was trying to export a 4K video into a lower resolution h.264 such as 1080p. Whenever I exported, the video would have a strange glitch on the right edge of the frame. Exporting as a 4K h.264 had no issues. It was only when trying to export it at a lower resolution. After spending hours frustrated trying to troubleshoot the issue a friend of mine helped me realize that it may be because I’m working on an AMD laptop. So I did a test on my old MacBook Pro and it all worked fine. Anyways sorry for this obnoxiously long comment. I really hope this issue is fixed.
@@PremiereBasics Geez. Premier is like the Ferrari you're supposed to like but breaks down every month even though you are paying premium for it, while Davinci is the less flashing GTR that does everything just as good but never has a problem.
5:07 the timeline is 5X faster??? I have been using the beta for a month now and it's 10X slower. If I simply ripple delete a cut section it takes up to 20 seconds until I can edit again.
Ability to archive projects and guarantee Adobe won’t pull the license😉 Pro shops can’t use Premier with high profile clientele for this reason. Adobe has a reputation for discontinuing old versions, pulling your license for that version and suing for opening that piece of software which you paid for for years and now is deemed unauthorized and unlicensed. Can you even open old projects in new versions forever like AVID. Once that and media management is considered, pro shops would consider using these types of software.
At 2:34 when it shows that the clips are cut and scattered with spaces in-between them, if there were different clips in a different project all scattered like this, how would we join them together in the timeline?
Finaly!!!! My prewiew on timline and video after render and on youtube look the same! Now I can colorgrade and people actually will see the result of my work, thank you Adobe Team! Enhance voice still pretty robotic, but AI learn quicly so let's wait for another year))
Not bad... but Resolve is still much more. I'm sure that at some point Premiere will once again overtake Resolve, but I think that's still a long way off, taking into account that the people at BMD continue to develop in leaps and bounds.
most of us we trying to leave PR because its not strong or better for color grading .... can they add in dehazing and clarity like the one in LR.. maybe it would give our 8bit footage a better Dynamic Range..
I love the updates but man we need more than this. We got tiktokers using the free version of capcut making cool high quality edits with the capcut presets in literally minutes time. While adobe got terrible pre made templates and we paying 20 a month 😅 We need face tracking. Better Templates More consistent updates. And etc. I literally wanted to do a cool edit and I literally had to export my footage. Throw it into capcut and drag / drop a cool edit they had which made my video better. I shouldn’t have to do that paying for 20 a month for adobe 😭
Would love to see something like the “mask prompter” plug-in that works with after effects. Mask Prompter is like a 1 click rotobrush and it would seriously improve our workflow if we didn’t have to go into after effects for it.
Some welcomed new features! The annoying one for me is if I’ve chosen a LUT on my iMac and lets say I have 30 LUTs. I open the project on my MacBook where I have the same LUT, but maybe 31 total LUTs, it randomly choses a different one. It’s like it doesn’t go by name, but list number. Any fixes welcome!
Great video! As someone who primarily edits in Resolve and who left Final Cut after 10 years, it's good to see this NLE updating to some great features. I do use Adobe suite but primarily Liughtroom, Photoshop, and Audition.

I admit I'm overall fairly new to the actual interfaces and stuff of the creative suite; my few hundred hours of practice are basically entirely within Premiere itself. Where do I find this beta? Do I add something to my current build of Premiere pro or is there an option on my creative suite interface before opening Premiere? Also, I absolutely love this channel, ALL of you guys are great teachers and very charismatic, and you guys+Finzar have changed the way I view TH-cam in the past month or two, THANK YOU
Thank you so much! That means a lot :) All you need to do is open up the creative cloud app, then go to apps and in the category list, find beta apps. Then you can simply install Premiere Beta. CC will then install a secondary version of Premiere on your PC. That way you can choose to launch the current version or the beta version. :)
Adobe, please add inbuild grain/ noise reduction effect for clips with grainy footage. For this single feature I have to download a plugin called Neat Video or switch to Resolve. Have this inbuilt please

Please add feature to transcribe source footage and not only timelines. It would be nice to be able to highlight text and add interview snippets to timeline via that way.
I want an option to choose a thumbnail while exporting. I suggest that the frame on which the playhead is located while you export should be considered as a thumbnail by default. This way, I can choose which frame I want to be visible as a thumbnail.

Adobe, please allow me to pay for premiere once and remove the subscription - at least for non-professional users. I've paid around 300€ for Davinci Resolve 14 in 2017 and receive life-time updates - now i'm on 18.6. In that time, Premiere Pro would've cost me 1712,88€ and would continue to cost me 285,48 each year, while Resolve is paid for and works like a charm. To me, and I think most enthusiast/non-professionals, Adobe will never be able to compete, just because of their pricing policy - no matter what kind of AI-Feature they put in there. So yeah, fix you're pricing policys and I'd think about giving Premiere Pro another go, but until then it's not going to be an option for I think many private/enthusiast users. It's obvioulsy different when you're talking about huge coporate usage and licencing, where Adobe has been king for many years if I'm not mistaken, and thats fine I guess.
To be honest, the gap deleting would be so clutch if it worked like Audition's "Delete Silences". I find that, sometimes, I don't have the best diction, and a lot of word I use on my videos aren't from common language (God Bless Pokémon). Therefore, the transcription feature won't work that well, specially on 50min long raw gameplay videos... I know, I have some nieche needs, but if only they implemented the tool already present on another program...
It's all great, but when I add any simple mogrt lower third, Premiere refuses to render/play it. I have Mac Studio, and I have no issues in that regards on the non-beta version, but please Adobe maybe look into that.
Right now I’m using da Vinci for edits and audio and premiere only for adding subtitles. Looking at this I may switch over to premiere for audio as well. I’ll keep looking at Premiere for projects, davinci has just been much easier for me
If your working in the studio version of davinci, there's the transcription feature. + there is a free plugin that takes the sub clip and allows you to create complete custom text
Yeah cool features but, imo, this is more appealing to youtube/IG/Tiktok content creators. Higher end content creators are more likely to prefer DaVinci color managment and panel (nodes, magic mask, tracking, denoise, color/log weels...), fusion and fairlight panels.
will hand it to Adobe...they are tackling much of the needed tasks they just need to be a little more cost effective ya know compared to FCPX and Davinci.
Could they make a version of Premiere that doesn't crash. Could they work on that as a feature? AE is very unstable, been working in AE for the last 15 years and the recent versions are the most unstable software I have ever used. Maybe just fix the bugs yeah
Every time I see something about new features to clean up audio I get all excited but then it doesn’t work for me. The footage and audio files I am given to work on for an ongoing weekly show I edit are absolutely awful. There is so much noise that no matter what I do in audition, she either sounds like a robot or still has the noise. I think they have the gain set too high on their mics and I have told them, but I get what I get. It’s just a nightmare every week to make it sound even halfway decent. I will try this though. Maybe I’ll get lucky.

When a new sequence is created by any of the various methods, can we have a dialogue box that opens asking which bin to store the sequence in or to create a new bin? This is seen in Avid Media Composer and feels very pro as opposed to Premiere's comparably pedestrian sequence handling. Thanks.

@@danzirvine no kidding... That's why I suggested Adobe either develop something similar, or just buy them out. Adobe's current enhance speech is better than nothing, but GOYO is to noise reduction what Photoshop is to graphic design and with Adobe's tendency to crash often pushing video editors to other editing software like Resolve, Adobe needs to give more reason to stay. Also, the monthly fee is a killer.

I'll stick with DaVinci Resolve, but I'm glad to know that Premiere is keeping up with useful updates. Competition is always good for the user.

Can you delete all pauses (not ripple delete?) so that just the audio is deleted, but the mp4 remains?
Templates will be so helpful for me. I do many smaller projects and that will speed up prep by so much.
Also like seeing how Enhanced Audio is evolving. The slider is a must for some pieces of audio.
All of this is good, but if the core software is slow to load thumbnails and clips and import times being longer than that its supposed to be, that's where things get dull for Premiere. An average 100 clip Sony H264 file takes just below a minute to import into Premiere, then it takes another while to build peaks, then it also takes a decade to load thumbnails in, this is on a base model Macbook Pro M1, Resolve is absolutely instant.

The “Silence” update was first introduced by FCPX. Then Davinci snuck it in. Now all of the sudden Premiere said, “Hey, look at us, we’re still providing value for you monthly subscription even though those other guys are a one-time buy. WE GOT YOU!” SMH.
What is shutter angle for?
Please make it possible that when 2 clips are dragged over each other, it applies a default cross fade instead of clipping.
Also make it so when you add a speed ramp to a clip, the clip auto resizes to take into account the shortened duration.
For now, I'm sticking with Resolve. Switcheda couple years ago and couldn't imagine ever going back. With some if adobe's new iterations, I might do a hybrid though. The Remix feature is insanely useful, so for that alone, I'll keep premiere. The coming firefly integrations may prove to make the decision more difficult for me, but I just hope that resolve keeps adding features that make it a no brainer to stay.
This is a great update for sure. I would love to see 2d and 3d motion tracking implemented directly into Premiere Pro at some point.
It's ridiculous, because they have a decent motion tracker already, but you can't use the keyframe data to apply to another layer to match move graphics, etc. Seems like such an easy fix.

I always love these videos. I have been a professional industry editor for over 30 years. I use the top two NLE's on a regular basis, of course. The industry leader by a massive margin is AVID. Premiere comes in second in a tie with Da Vinci. Some still use FCP but not that many. For longform editing AVID Is the goto for movies and TV series etc. Short form, I favour Premiere.

I'd love to have a feature in Text Based Editing where the AI detects multiple takes of the same shot and trims out the best one among them. An AI that looks for the best speech flow and eye contact towards the camera and selects that as the best take. And if there's a feature where we can upload our script and the AI can compare the script with the Transcript and trim the video accordingly, that would be awesome.
Premier Beta: 1) the voice enhancer is just ok. Adobe Audition much better 2) Still poor at removing background music 3) Beta started blocking sound on other channels 4) I was excited to see the royalty-free music, until I saw it wasn't really free. Now I have to go and check if those graphics I pulled from Express have sneaky paid subscriptions as well. 4) Duck tool. Nice to see something included that Sony Vegas had about 15 years ago. 5) Does run faster/slimmer, thank you.
As a gaming video editor the ability to instantly take out all pauses in dialog is a game CHANGER! It took hours to edit a single video and the only options available before were plugins or apps that you had to pay for separately and then import into premiere.
Can’t believe how far all this stuff has come. God help me if these features were all available 7 years ago I’d probably be a nicer person today

Hey Adobe ! Loving this update. I feel like one area could be improved tho. The hit box of the arrow when masking. It's way too big, and makes everyone go crazy, because when we want to create new points on a mask, it just gives you the ability to rotate the whole thing. It would be great to be able to use something like the shift key to decide whereas we want to rotate the mask or just add points ! Also, I think you could improve the Color pannels so much by looking at Davinci Resolve.

I root for Adobe sometimes, but I'm clearly moved on at this point. It kills me to hear that they have a subscription and then they want you to subscribe to buy credits to use "features" in their software. Like wow.

To be 100.. beta still struggles with gopro footage, any frame rate. Once the peak files generate (takes a while) then it is not as bad but still will not play more than 3 seconds before skipping. Text AI, it's the same as it is in Premiere, still no way to move the text around as a group, the captions track or even when upgraded to graphics , still have to nest and position. The punctuation controls don't exist, it does a terrible job at knowing when the punctuations are needed. If the caps lock is on, you still can't alternate tools. If I move too fast premiere freezes, I edit extremely fast and it is aggravating that premiere can't keep up. I understand they want to keep all the "Cool" text effect in AE but come on, there are tons, premiere could use some text effect love. They still have not fixed the iPhone issue, I still have to use SDR Conform or interpret the footage to the REC709 Profile or the footage comes out blown out! I could go on and on. I see no real improvement except for the fan boy junk. I am NOT a fan boy. I pay a nice price per month to use this software and lately I feel like I am being cheated!
I used to like hearing the speech as I scrubbed through a clip rather than trying to get the correct point by looking at the audio output. Also, I often have an issue when I try to highlight a few clips and, if my hand moves up or down slightly, having a section of the timeline (say the A track) suddenly compress. I try to reopen it, but it never goes back to the correct proportions. I wish the program wasn't that sensitive to slight movements.
The day that something like the generative fill ai comes to premier pro will be the day that I understand why I should pay monthly for a video editor. Great update but not switching from Resolve personally.
Great features in Premiere Pro as we are wont to un-stabilisation from them. Hopefully, there will be more positive updates not at the expense of what shouldn't be gone.

Not sure if people at Adobe actually are reading all these comments… but I ran into an issue recently where I was trying to export a 4K video into a lower resolution h.264 such as 1080p. Whenever I exported, the video would have a strange glitch on the right edge of the frame. Exporting as a 4K h.264 had no issues. It was only when trying to export it at a lower resolution. After spending hours frustrated trying to troubleshoot the issue a friend of mine helped me realize that it may be because I’m working on an AMD laptop. So I did a test on my old MacBook Pro and it all worked fine. Anyways sorry for this obnoxiously long comment. I really hope this issue is fixed.

@@PremiereBasics Geez. Premier is like the Ferrari you're supposed to like but breaks down every month even though you are paying premium for it, while Davinci is the less flashing GTR that does everything just as good but never has a problem.
5:07 the timeline is 5X faster??? I have been using the beta for a month now and it's 10X slower. If I simply ripple delete a cut section it takes up to 20 seconds until I can edit again.
Can't wait to test the new features.... hopefully Premiere will do something about their COLOR section.... it needs some AI upgrades!!
Ability to archive projects and guarantee Adobe won’t pull the license😉 Pro shops can’t use Premier with high profile clientele for this reason. Adobe has a reputation for discontinuing old versions, pulling your license for that version and suing for opening that piece of software which you paid for for years and now is deemed unauthorized and unlicensed. Can you even open old projects in new versions forever like AVID. Once that and media management is considered, pro shops would consider using these types of software.
Unless I'm mistaken, we still need the ability to change white balance when using Pro Res RAW footage?
At 2:34 when it shows that the clips are cut and scattered with spaces in-between them, if there were different clips in a different project all scattered like this, how would we join them together in the timeline?

Not bad... but Resolve is still much more. I'm sure that at some point Premiere will once again overtake Resolve, but I think that's still a long way off, taking into account that the people at BMD continue to develop in leaps and bounds.
most of us we trying to leave PR because its not strong or better for color grading .... can they add in dehazing and clarity like the one in LR.. maybe it would give our 8bit footage a better Dynamic Range..
I love the updates but man we need more than this. We got tiktokers using the free version of capcut making cool high quality edits with the capcut presets in literally minutes time. While adobe got terrible pre made templates and we paying 20 a month 😅 We need face tracking. Better Templates More consistent updates. And etc. I literally wanted to do a cool edit and I literally had to export my footage. Throw it into capcut and drag / drop a cool edit they had which made my video better. I shouldn’t have to do that paying for 20 a month for adobe 😭
Ability to pan in the program monitor using mac trackpad two finger pan gesture would be great
Would love to see something like the “mask prompter” plug-in that works with after effects. Mask Prompter is like a 1 click rotobrush and it would seriously improve our workflow if we didn’t have to go into after effects for it.

The annoying one for me is if I’ve chosen a LUT on my iMac and lets say I have 30 LUTs. I open the project on my MacBook where I have the same LUT, but maybe 31 total LUTs, it randomly choses a different one. It’s like it doesn’t go by name, but list number. Any fixes welcome!
Great video! As someone who primarily edits in Resolve and who left Final Cut after 10 years, it's good to see this NLE updating to some great features. I do use Adobe suite but primarily Liughtroom, Photoshop, and Audition.

This is great and all, but I still can't use the "move to next & previous marker" buttons.
I admit I'm overall fairly new to the actual interfaces and stuff of the creative suite; my few hundred hours of practice are basically entirely within Premiere itself. Where do I find this beta? Do I add something to my current build of Premiere pro or is there an option on my creative suite interface before opening Premiere?

Thank you so much! That means a lot :) All you need to do is open up the creative cloud app, then go to apps and in the category list, find beta apps. Then you can simply install Premiere Beta. CC will then install a secondary version of Premiere on your PC. That way you can choose to launch the current version or the beta version. :)

I want an option to choose a thumbnail while exporting. I suggest that the frame on which the playhead is located while you export should be considered as a thumbnail by default. This way, I can choose which frame I want to be visible as a thumbnail.
That would be awesome! However, you can export a frame before exporting!

Adobe, please allow me to pay for premiere once and remove the subscription - at least for non-professional users. I've paid around 300€ for Davinci Resolve 14 in 2017 and receive life-time updates - now i'm on 18.6. In that time, Premiere Pro would've cost me 1712,88€ and would continue to cost me 285,48 each year, while Resolve is paid for and works like a charm.
To me, and I think most enthusiast/non-professionals, Adobe will never be able to compete, just because of their pricing policy - no matter what kind of AI-Feature they put in there. So yeah, fix you're pricing policys and I'd think about giving Premiere Pro another go, but until then it's not going to be an option for I think many private/enthusiast users. It's obvioulsy different when you're talking about huge coporate usage and licencing, where Adobe has been king for many years if I'm not mistaken, and thats fine I guess.

To be honest, the gap deleting would be so clutch if it worked like Audition's "Delete Silences". I find that, sometimes, I don't have the best diction, and a lot of word I use on my videos aren't from common language (God Bless Pokémon). Therefore, the transcription feature won't work that well, specially on 50min long raw gameplay videos... I know, I have some nieche needs, but if only they implemented the tool already present on another program...

It's all great, but when I add any simple mogrt lower third, Premiere refuses to render/play it. I have Mac Studio, and I have no issues in that regards on the non-beta version, but please Adobe maybe look into that.
Right now I’m using da Vinci for edits and audio and premiere only for adding subtitles. Looking at this I may switch over to premiere for audio as well.
I’ll keep looking at Premiere for projects, davinci has just been much easier for me
If your working in the studio version of davinci, there's the transcription feature. + there is a free plugin that takes the sub clip and allows you to create complete custom text
Yeah cool features but, imo, this is more appealing to youtube/IG/Tiktok content creators. Higher end content creators are more likely to prefer DaVinci color managment and panel (nodes, magic mask, tracking, denoise, color/log weels...), fusion and fairlight panels.
will hand it to Adobe...they are tackling much of the needed tasks they just need to be a little more cost effective ya know compared to FCPX and Davinci.

Could they make a version of Premiere that doesn't crash. Could they work on that as a feature? AE is very unstable, been working in AE for the last 15 years and the recent versions are the most unstable software I have ever used. Maybe just fix the bugs yeah

Every time I see something about new features to clean up audio I get all excited but then it doesn’t work for me. The footage and audio files I am given to work on for an ongoing weekly show I edit are absolutely awful. There is so much noise that no matter what I do in audition, she either sounds like a robot or still has the noise. I think they have the gain set too high on their mics and I have told them, but I get what I get. It’s just a nightmare every week to make it sound even halfway decent. I will try this though. Maybe I’ll get lucky.
Will be even greater if we can shy layers in Premiere just like we do in After Effects.
Why would you want to do that on editorial? For AE, yes. But as long as you're timeline is clean, no need to hide anything. Nests are your friend

When a new sequence is created by any of the various methods, can we have a dialogue box that opens asking which bin to store the sequence in or to create a new bin? This is seen in Avid Media Composer and feels very pro as opposed to Premiere's comparably pedestrian sequence handling. Thanks.

@@danzirvine no kidding... That's why I suggested Adobe either develop something similar, or just buy them out. Adobe's current enhance speech is better than nothing, but GOYO is to noise reduction what Photoshop is to graphic design and with Adobe's tendency to crash often pushing video editors to other editing software like Resolve, Adobe needs to give more reason to stay. Also, the monthly fee is a killer.
Hi Adobe! Would love to see updates in the colour workspace. Would love to see a quicker way to copy and apply grades similar to how davinci resolve does it.
