    Thank you for this information. I’m dealing with this issue right now. The scale is not moving, but I’m eating less. I’m going to take your advice and measure myself and increase my protein intake. What I like about your videos is that you break down the information so we can understand what the drug is doing. Oh, I just started Pilates so that should help. We see next month. Have a blessed day.

      Hi
      Great video... My first time seeing your video.
      I do have question. How do you deal with weight loss when you suffer from hypothyroidism??
      Having this is depressing when it comes to weight loss.
      Any advice will help!
      Thanks

    • @thedr.omethod4534
      @thedr.omethod4534  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @keba466 I really hope you get this. The location of your question is such that I can not reply directly to you, since you replied to another comment.
      Regarding your question about having hypothyroidism and managing weight loss at the same time, I can tell you that I have had patients with both hypothyroidism and difficulty managing their weight. The good news is that these patients have had a tremendous result using these medications. In the end, if you eat less, you lose weight and that is what these medicines can help you do.
      I would urge you to discuss this matter further with your physician to see if you are a candidate for these medicines, and if they can help you on your weight loss journey.
      I hope you find this response and that it is helpful. I wish you all the best of good health!!

    What a GREAT segment and so informative!! I have been on Mounjaro for solely for weight loss (pre-diabetic) for 17 weeks and lost 15 pounds … but the medication has never consistently suppressed my appetite … even after titration to 12.5 mg. That said, I will follow your great advice and request a blood insulin test.
    I have several questions:
    *Is the blood insulin test an A1C test or something else?
    *How much water should a person drink per day? I hate water (even flavored) but going to start tomorrow drastically increasing my intake. I only drink about 32 oz / day.
    *What brand / type of electrolyte supplements should I purchase? I want to get the correct type.
    THANK YOU so much because I feel my weight loss journey would be going better if I had known this information sooner.

    I have insulin resistance I never really had any hunger suppressant. I'm 15 month in and my weight is fluctuating 3-5lbs I have been on 15mg since June have gone from 300 starting weight to 251 my weight goes up and down 251-256. It's annoying having to deal with that visceral fat and insulin resistance I'm on a low carb and doing some intermiten fasting thinking on doing prolonged fasting and coming off meds. Fasting has worked better than this meds that's for sure and it's free...

      Doctors have a schedule of patients to see in a day and they have 20 minutes per patient. However, if you schedule an appointment and you are willing to wait even longer to be seen (more than 20 minutes push it to 1hr or 2hrs) then maybe doctors can spend much longer talking to you while you are in there office.

    I like your videos. Im a month in on taking wegovy 0.25. I've lost maybe 15 pounds. I sometimes feel good, but i have my bad days as well. What i feel is nauseous and fatigued some days. I was about to quit wegovy, but my physician told me to try some things before i stop. I have been going to the gym before taking this medicine, so i feel like i should eat, but i don't feel hungry. My worry is if i stop that, I'll gain everything again.
    I was wondering what happens if you drink alcohol like beer or whiskey?
    Thanks for your video.

    Thank you Dr.O , do you have any suggestions for hair loss while in this medication

    • @thedr.omethod4534
      @thedr.omethod4534  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi and thank you for your comment.
      Hair loss while taking these medicines is definitely a possibility. The good news is that once you stop the medicines, the hair will regrow. While taking the medicines, make sure that your nutrient levels are within normal limits. By this I mean zinc, vitamin C, B12, and B2, along with biotin. These vitamins and minerals help with hair growth and deficiencies may interfere with the process.
      Also, staying well hydrated and having a balanced nutritional diet is also helpful.
      For any other options, I suggest you discuss further with your physician as there are some other interventions
      that may prove useful for this problem.
      I hope this is somewhat helpful. Good luck with your weight loss journey!!

I also take berberine. I can't take monjoura not covered by insurance. I do try to workout 5 daystar week. What do you think? My nutrition has not been great too much sugar and not enough protein. Do you think it's the nutrition? I have lost 50, but lately nothing in the past 3 months.

      Hi and thank you for leaving a comment.
      Sadly, there is a worldwide shortage of all of these medicines and sometimes the biggest limitation is actually getting access to them. I wish I could be more helpful, but I do not know of a solution.
      Maybe you can ask your physician or even your insurance company as to whether they know of any pharmacies that may have the medicines.
      I wish I could be more helpful. Good luck to you!

    • @thedr.omethod4534

      Hi and thank you for your comment.
      It makes my heart sing to know that you exercise so regularly. Kudos!! You are doing such good work for yourself. 😊
      Since I do not know you personally and I am not your physician, I cannot respond specifically to your question. I can tell you, however, that everyone is different in terms of how they initially respond to the medicines. Sometimes, having symptoms of nausea leads to a very low appetite, and thus a very low caloric intake. If this is the case with you, you will have to monitor and adjust your exercise regiment accordingly.
      Usually, these symptoms last only for a couple of weeks, and so once they resolve, you may find that you are able to eat less but still consume enough calories to exercise rigorously. And remember, hydration and consuming minerals to hold onto the water you drink is crucial, particularly if you are exercising, and sweating, rigorously.
      I hope this is helpful. Good luck on your weight loss journey!!!

    • @thedr.omethod4534
      @thedr.omethod4534  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi and thank you for your comment.
      According to the manufacturers recommendation, until you start using the medicine, it is recommended that you keep the medicine refrigerated.
      After taking the first dose, however, they say that Ozempic can be left at room temperature for up to 56 days, and Wegovy and Mounjaro can be kept at room temperature (after taking the first dose) for up to 21 days.
      I hope this is helpful and good luck on your weight loss journey!!

    • @ThatBetchEllie
      @ThatBetchEllie ปีที่แล้ว

      You definitely need to refrigerate it always and keep it away from a lot of light it can survive for 28 days in room temp not above 85 degrees but it's safest to store in your fridge

    • @thedr.omethod4534
      @thedr.omethod4534  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, and thank you for your comment!
      It sounds as though you are having difficulty digesting your food while taking Ozempic? Unfortunately, since I am not your physician, I do not have any knowledge of your medical history, current medicines, or the benefit of a physical exam, to render an opinion as to what may be going on. For example, having a history of diabetes or other gastrointestinal issues with certainly influence my opinion as to what may be going on with you.
      I suggest that you have a discussion with your prescribing physician explaining your concerns, as this would be the best way to get answers that are suitable for you and your medical history.
      I wish I could be more helpful. I wish you all the best of luck.

    I was a patient of Dr O’s years ago when she was a physiatrist. I am shocked by these videos about weight loss and skin creams and cosmetics. It appears that making money was the winner in her career and that’s sad
