The movie was bullshit. It's Wonder Woman. It should be more like a Tony Jaa movie than that bubblegum flavored mess. But legitimately the chaos wasn't believable. It was too sudden and unfocused. And every scene where she ran or flew you could clearly see she was bungee bouncing off a wire harness.
couple of things i thought about: 1 Cheetah doesn't get two wishes, max gives her power as a price for regular human wishes over the broadcast (i doesn't make a lot of sense but watching that scene i do think that what the movie is suggesting) That why she doesn't transform until after the broadcast and why max tell her he feel generous while explaining how he gets things from other people whishes 2 The Maya disappear before the Spanish ever arrive, the Aztec are the ones that where kill by the Spanish
cheetah didn't make a second wish, wishing man just took things from others to give to her. Which brings up the important question who had leopard skin and claws for him to take!?!?!
I think it was just because she got turned into a demi-god by wishing to be like Wonder Woman and with the help of the rage boost from Max she just turned into a cheetah-like creature. Kinda like how Greek gods can shapeshift, the wishing man taking people's rage and giving to Barbara just got her to get strong enough to turn into Cheetah.
Why did Steve even have to come back in a different body??? This wishing stone seems to be able to do anything. Why not just bring Steve back in his own body? And no, it's not like this is the negative side effect of the stone, because the negative side effect was already her having to give up her powers. God, that movie was stupid.
The Joker soundtrack is great, written by a woman who won the Oscar for it, and is notable because the score was finished before they started shooting, so they were able to play the music on set.
This was an *unnecessary sequel* starring a beautiful woman (whose acting skills are debatable), two comic book villains who were completely watered down and essentially useless supervillains, and ALOT of bad CGI, corny acting, lackluster fight scenes, random storylines, and just an movie that the original screenwriter(s) who wrote it should feel embarrassed 😬😆

So I sort of thought that when she said “I don’t want want to be the same as someone, I want to be better....”, that was like her renouncing her first wish, then making another. Don’t know if it works like that but kind of made sense to me like that.
Would prefer they had followed the Lord Oneiros/Dr. Destiny storyline, which I believe would make the film far more interesting than the vague reference to a trickster God.

I've seen a few reviews mention Barbara getting two wishes, and I'm sure I'm not the first to point out that she doesn't - when Max is taking things from people he's saying things like 'give her your rage' etc and that's how she becomes Cheetah. Doesn't make up for all the film's other flaws, but that one thing is explained.
Great Podcast, truly phenomenal.
However, I stated previously I would like every video moving forward. Some how I keep missing it last second. Then it came to me, like the hours spent tying your shoes, how much time am I spending liking your videos.. Time I can't get back! 😪😪😪. Now, you have the audacity to ask for my money from Big Sandwich. For What?!? Nothing. Next are you gonna ask for my soul?? Take it!! Take everything I have just to hear you two talk..... Ask not what can your Podcast do for you, but what you can do for your Podcast.
Seriously tho love u guys. Hilarious banter, reminds me of my buddies and I. I'll sign up for Big Sandwich once I get some better funds saved up. Been a wild whack year and love listening. Take care sounded better than Grab that Jim(I think that's what you say) see you next week. No hate James lol. Respect. Peace
TIme for the REAL Terminator 3 where current day Pedro Pascal goes back in time to stop "not too distant past" Pedro Pascal, from not being in Wonder Woman so he could remember his dogs name isn't "Wolfie" or whatever....it's PC gone mad!
bloody great comment m8
The movie was bullshit. It's Wonder Woman. It should be more like a Tony Jaa movie than that bubblegum flavored mess. But legitimately the chaos wasn't believable. It was too sudden and unfocused. And every scene where she ran or flew you could clearly see she was bungee bouncing off a wire harness.
everyone’s saying he did the wishes for more wishes but all I’m seeing is Jafar wishing to become a genie
New Years Ahoy mates!
couple of things i thought about:
1 Cheetah doesn't get two wishes, max gives her power as a price for regular human wishes over the broadcast (i doesn't make a lot of sense but watching that scene i do think that what the movie is suggesting) That why she doesn't transform until after the broadcast and why max tell her he feel generous while explaining how he gets things from other people whishes
2 The Maya disappear before the Spanish ever arrive, the Aztec are the ones that where kill by the Spanish
Nick is saying Max Lord isn't Trump but he literally built a magic wall in the 2nd act
Honestly if they cut an hour off this film I would have enjoyed it a lot more.
This was the best podcast of 2020 and the best podcast in other years
cheetah didn't make a second wish, wishing man just took things from others to give to her. Which brings up the important question who had leopard skin and claws for him to take!?!?!
Cats
I am sorry. I was wrong. I can't believe Book of Boba Fett is another series.
Alas...my two main lads!
I wished for WW84 to end right after it started. What the hell went wrong? Nothing worked: lifeless acting, convoluted plot, underdeveloped characters...what a mess.
#SupermanMullet
I do love the Wonder Woman screaming
"Or is it Dune?"
That's what i listen for, hot takes on the aussie economy!
1:24:57 First time I've heard you referred to as 'Jimmy' or 'Nicky.'
Especially by yourselves.
I'm half way through this movie and I'm thinking I should just listen to this instead.
You definitely should.
@@Etticos. I was watching it with family but when it got to the action scene with the cars.... everyone was nodding off ;) I'm pretty sure everyone watching had guessed an obvious call back they were going to bring back at the end and just fell asleep in an action set piece. Not a good sign :)
@@rowanb4395 yeah it was pretty rough in my opinion. At first I thought the “cheesiness” was intentional, like it was referencing 80’s movies. But then I just realized the movie was unintentionally cheesy, and boring, and inconsistent. It’s a shame, the trailer made it look really cool.
@@Etticos. Can't disagree (from the half I watched)
Wow you guys. It's not Gaadoh. It's Gay-dot. Gul Gay-dot.
Happy belated diametrically opposed Boxing Day, boys!
So I sort of thought that when she said “I don’t want want to be the same as someone, I want to be better....”, that was like her renouncing her first wish, then making another. Don’t know if it works like that but kind of made sense to me like that.
Just do spoilers jeez
Would prefer they had followed the Lord Oneiros/Dr. Destiny storyline, which I believe would make the film far more interesting than the vague reference to a trickster God.
Ham on a plate ??? What's wrong with that bit of mustard on the side eat that for days
weird audio on PB. Still best content, best pod! Happy New Year Boys!!
There's actually a channel called The Movie Doctor who is a doctor who reviews movies
Two Thumbs Up
Wonder Woman is supposed to be about women empowerment, but she spent the whole movie being hung up on a dude, and said dude had to tell her to do the right thing. Then the main bad guy doesn't have consequences for his actions, there is nothing good about this movie, other than Chris Pine and he shouldn't have even been put in the movie.
I didn’t hate the movie, besides the whole Pine in a new body thing. 6/10
*spoilers*
When Mexican Trump renounces his wish to be the wishing stone it recons all the wishes he gave out.
movie solved
Nobody expects...
_The Spanish INQUISITION!!!_
Nando V Movies is pretty much a script doctor youtuber. I can't wait until he does a WW84 rewrite.
God I hope he does! I didn't think this movie was horrible, but it has a few major problems that could be made so much better, and I think Nando is capable of improving this movie to the level that it should've been.
It's a testament to her extreme beauty that audiences still want to watch Gal Gadot given her almost complete lack of acting talent
