An urban legend says that at the first screening of The Arrival of the Train people were running away from the screen in terror. Understandable for the first time seeing a moving picture...but after that first time it were the people who got used to the cinema and not the cinema which got adapted for the unaccustomed people. Because the problem of not being used to something has a simple solution: get used to it. Which is also something humans are naturally good at (learning/adaptability).
Ha! I just played this yesterday, probably at about the same time as you were streaming. 😅 For your own custom loadouts, did you try using a pistol as one of the two main weapons? When adding a laser sight and all the neat upgrades, I found it to be way more useful than the shotgun. Very similar power at close range, but it fires and reloads faster, you can aim it more precisely against the shielded enemies, and if cornered you can even one-hand it in a pinch and use a shield you find to block the enemies' shots. It sucks at longer range (stopping power and aim), but so does the shotgun, so you'll need an assault rifle or something anyways. If you haven't, try it. I found it to be really cool, particularly against the heavy armor units and yellow bosses (headshots).
