All the watches I planned to discuss were pictured, but when viewers ask about watches or I talk about watches not in the plan, there's no way to find and load slides in real time. I'd need a CNN-level control room to pull unplanned images in real time or something close to it. Best, Tim
@WatchBox Reviews really it's that difficult to type the watch in question into the GOOGLE search bar and hit enter? The computer is right there infront of you
Thanks for sticking with me. Topics need to be fairly mainstream, but how I populate the discussion is more flexible. The weird Zeniths of the world are more interesting to me. Best, Tim
What would you say if the 136660 and D-Blue got discontinued altogether after a short run? In that event the only thing better about the 126660 would be the diver's extension but loses out on the 136660's reduced bezel insert, AR coating, flat wearing RLX caseback, and larger date window with much better positioning instead of floating into the middle of the dial. I don't think the diver's extension makes up the difference but time will tell.
I can barely even see the difference between the 13 and the 12, so I'd miss the fold out extension. I've had both of these watches in my hand, and the aesthetic differences are blah. The fit, function, and style differences between 2017 and 2018 were huge, however. I'd never consider a 116660, but I'd consider a 126660 for a weekend watch. Best, Tim
You're 24 years too late, sold my 321 Speedy and 1680Sub (for a profit) for $2100 and $3300 in '99 so you can see how "cheap "they were back then.Patek Calatrava could be had for around 5-6k!!should have bought one and kept the other two and saved myself soooo much money time and effort on subsequent purchases(Breitling B1 anyone?)could have been happy forever but we're all wise in hindsight😩
In terms of the watches' "money in the bank" property. I bought a PP 5146J last year for 40k USD, but now its prevailing price went down to 35k ish... Not sure whether it can go up back or not.
@@dannysimenauer5745 As of now there are none available anywhere. Hard to find and they move quick. Unless the price is crazy high or something is wrong I doubt anyone would negotiate much if any. Journe has an awesome piece but it’s not a value anymore. The Lange is.
This is, of course, another great video by you Tim. For me, however, these videos tempt me to buy something I don't really love because it is "collectible". I have really only ever bought a watch that sings to me, so the content here is useful insofar as it might accidentally tell me that a piece I own is collectible, but it doesn't really guide me in what to add to my collection. Thanks again!
Hey Tim love the show! What do you think about the 40mm titan/steel PAM 122 Luminor with the El primero mvmt? Is that a collectible Panerai? As I have heard it went for a short run and its not often that two competitor corporations colliding and made a nice watch. Thanks! Cheers!
Keep if you love it. GP has no collector momentum behind it, so even the best models like the Infinity likely aren't impossible to replace or likely to become scarce in the marketplace. Best, Tim
I was surprised to hear Tim imply that A. Lange & Sohne was having trouble selling watches. The company is simply requiring prospective buyers of the very popular Odysseus, to have been previous owners of the brand. Lange produces only about 5,000 watches a year, so the Odysseus is a very limited and highly desirable watch, Do you think a first time buyer of Porsche will receive an allocation before the 4th time buyer? ... Not a fan of this format. I couldn't make it through the sections where he keeps reading off everyone's names. Would have enjoyed hearing the content though.
I wish photos of all watches Tim spoke about were shown

Don't love this topic but the insight, detail, and scope of this video was incredible. Thanks Tim! 45 minutes of awesome.

@@the1916companywatchreviews thanks
Danny, I got one from WatchBox a few months ago. It’s amazing and better than any pic I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend this watch.
@@Carvewater Mike, thank you for your feedback. Were you able to negotiate the price with WatchBox?

Should I sell my SD43 2nd generation if I need money 💰 for real estate 🏡?
Thanks Tim & team
What a great episode.Well done Tim, well done.
Thanks for watching! That makes it easier to keep the show going.

Awesome video!
Tim, will pocket watches make a come back? And for sub $5000 what to buy? Thank you
It is highly unlikely that they will ever make as comeback in terms of use, but the very rare items will always be highly sought after I am sure.

Biggest regret for me is selling the sea dweller without cyclops
Garrick, yes! More of that. Hope to see you review the 39mm in-house movement S5.
I'll reach out and see if I can get one for testing. This S6 has been tremendous - love it.

Thx Tim, thought it was the starbucks but was unsure. Nice weekly vid as always!
seeing 116600-003 for in the 17's. Sounds low vs. the low 20's Tim mentioned?
Yea I heard that and think he just misspoke.
@@Carvewater Thanks Mike. I was thinking of picking one up for 'safe'keeping and wearing the one I have. 👍
At 5:47 you say the FPJ CB is a "long term hold, very much so." Then at 40:44 you say the CB is "just about valued." Which is it?🤔😄
7597 breguet is the best!
I made the wrist shots. So this is what fame feels like.
You know that a Tim caliber is coming in the future!
That rolex he kept telling you to NOT SELL its actually even easier then that just DONT BUY IT!!!
Damn JC biver was in the chat?
