Many thanks again for this unique opportunity to see the journey from the driver's perspective. Especially Castlerock and Downhill tunnels! The opposite direction would be great. And a trip along the Portrush branch would be fantastic. Keep up the great work.
Done this journey loads of times now it is lovely view of the North Antrim coast after Castlerock and also a nice view of Donegal looking across Lough Foyle on a clear day.
Brilliant footage, lovely to see the gorgeous scenery from the cab! Do you mind explaining the ringing/telephone-like sound that for example can be heard at 16:26 thanks. -Odhrán
The telephonish sound that occurs twice is the radio, the second repetitive beeping noise is the Driver Safety Device/Driver Vigilance Device/Deadmans/Whatever term you would rather use
TranslinkNI. Recorded date 2012 has to be incorrect. The Queen opened Bellarena in June 2016 and the semaphore signals finale in Castlerock was in October 2016.
Mesmerising. Several disused stations along the route too. One of the most beautiful railway journeys to make in the flesh as well
Love these. More of them
Mm nice to catch, the runway markings as we cross the old Ballykelly air base..
Great and beautiful journey and on my to-do list now.
Lovely views on this journey 😊 ^KS

Brilliant video
Gorgeous scenery but then I am biased as it is so like ours in parts of New Zealand! Thanks Alan McRobert for sharing it with me.
Very Relaxing Thank You
Can't wait to see an updated version with the train coming into the new hub (assuming there isn't one already @TranslinkNI)

This line doesn't travel in North Antrim, that's the county Derry coast

It is to remind the driver to lift and place their feet down on the pedal again to ensure the driver is alert.

I was expecting the train to come into the new station!
The clip was from before it was built Robert 🚉 ^CS
This is the one we've all been waiting for! can you do a Derry/LD -> Coleraine so we can see it in the other direction too pls?
Be sure to keep your eyes pealed Ryan 👀 ^CS

Love this journey every time, one question, where is the engine shed where you keep the trains?
Hi, we have a number of places across our network where trains can be stored 🙂 ^CS
Amazing for a journey that takes so long there’s only 2 working intermediate stations
I just wish the line had 2 tracks instead of 1. So that service would be a lot better.
I believe double tracking is planned but translink correct me of im wrong
Nice, a 4000.
A portrush>Coleraine would be amazing
What year was this filmed?
It was filmed in 2017, we don't have the exact date. ^CD
I know it would’ve been 2017 or before because of the forest city halogens at Coleraine level crossings (five barriers!)
I wonder how many derailed people are watching this. I'm on the second half of the journey.
