Do you know about word clock between Apogee Rosetta 800 and Apollo twin MK2? I recently upgraded my studio to get from Mac G5 to MacBook pro and I added Apollo twin MK2 wanted to link the both of them.
Man up and show us ear buds as flat as the mdr7506 son
Thanks bro just bought me some with the link!!
I appreciate how concise this video was and how it wasn't unnecessarily extended to 10+ minutes like some other channels. Very helpful in making my decision!
Thank you!
Best part of the video teaching people how not to be stupid, my man !!! Great video!!!
I just got the DT 770 250 ohm's and love them. They work great through my interface (which I bought about the same time). Teaching my self how to mix and master my own music and wanted a quality pair of cans...these are it! Thanks for the review I watched it first then bought!
Which interface do you use ? (More accurately, the interface you used to use with these headphones at the time of changing this, 2 years ago)
@@evergreatest7644 I have a Motu M2, very low latency! I also run an ART Voice Channel through that I use for vocals. I just like to have a little processing going into my DAW, makes mixing vocals a little easier.
Random video for me, but I do agree with you on Beyerdynamic 250ohm. I bought mine years ago, and the feel as well as sound reproduction is still the same. Funny thing is, I still constantly switch between my headphones, my KRK and Behringer Truth active speakers in a session lol
Good video man 👍
Cheers
Notice how there aren't any beats headphones. Take notes children.
@@MattDxstined I know.
😂😂😂 I am new to this and I have noticed that as an overall trend. No bose either.
@@PressPowerPlay
Don't go dissing my boi bose. My $130 set is 5 years strong.
@@kyoukotoshino5600 my bad. 😂
@@PressPowerPlay
I actually just got a sennheizer 300pro. But bose needs love too 😔
Thank you for your review! I'm leaning towards the Sennheiser 280 pro for playing on a digital piano. Would you recommend a different model for that use? Would the 280 pros hurt my ears after a while? Thank you.
Thanks for the great review , you just helped me make up my mind . I'm going with the DT770-80 ohms.
Thankyou i appreciate this video these beyerdynamic 250 seem best for me for vocals ect. Not sure if will need a amp for them but if so can you suggest one?
Thank you for a concise and honest comparison review. I am trying to find a good balance between budget and quality and this was a nicely brief and helpful. How do you feel these three compare for sound leaking that could be picked up by a mic? Thank you.
You killing g. Nice tips because I was wondering about that. Thanks homey 🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for a concise video with great info. Think I'll go down the middle with the sennheiser.
Amazing review.
Is it possible for you to give some final thoughts on Sennheiser HD 280 PRO. I use alot of bass in almost every track. Are we able to monitor the 808s?
I spent 4 years using university equipment, but now I’m starting out building up my gear and this has been really helpful as I need to stay on the more cost effective Side of things.
I'm so glad I can help Solei! Lots of videos coming so stay tuned.
Hi Archie! How are you? Thanks for the video! Just a few question, the hd280 are durable? the ones you have now, could you tell me where are they made? thank you!
Thanks You for the videos you make, all of them or edifying and str8 to the point! Keep them coming fam. ✊🏾
Thanks bro. I really appreciate it.
hi bro, thanks for the precious informations (great video like always). i have a question please.
iam an voice over, i have a "presonus studio 24c audio interface" and i wanna use this headphones for recording, so which one is better to use for this type of work, "the BEYERDYNAMIC DT 770 PRO-80ohm version" or "the 250ohm version".
Hey great video, i wanted to ask what headphones amd do u use for DT770? Do u think Focusrite 2i2 can drive them?
Hey dude thanks for the great video. Maybe you could advise. I’m trying to obviously find a good pair without breaking the bank and that will allow me to really hear the adjustments I make on eq while playing directly from the daw. It’s a drag having to jump in my car each time to listen lol. I know it’s inevitable and good practice. I was leaning toward akg 240 or the Sony. I think open back would be best right? Any advice for synth wave music,? Thanks dude.
Great video. I'm looking at getting the 770 pros. Jw, my mother board on my computer says it supports up to 600Ohm. So I wouldn't need a amp if that is true. But if all these motherboards have sound amp built in then why would so many pc gamers have amps?
Hi Archie new subscriber here! I watch your other vids they are helpful 😊 i just wanna ask what headphones can you recommend to me for recording vocals?
I’m gonna get the DT 770 thanks bro I was thinking bout the 990s but I heard the 770s were better for recording vocals
Thank you .... comprehensive and concise.
I'm in Canada and it's 2021 so prices are very different. The Sennheiser HD280PRO being the least expensive so far.
I love the 280's. Been using them forever. I might try the 770's.
Yo what’s up man I was wondering if you could help me with a dilemma I’m having. I want to buy the HD800s and I’m hearing about having to buy a headphone amp I currently have the Apollo twin duo mkII I would that be enough to power the drivers or do I have to purchase a headphone amp ??
Great video Archie! Been wanting the Dt770 for some time now.
Thanks bro! Did you order them yet?
Good review. Try some calfskin earpads on the 7506, they're great, and last for years,
Does this review also pertain to sound quality for music, aside from mixing etc? Thanks
Hi would the beyers be good for bass guitar practice at home with a Palmer pocket bass amp thanks
I'm back at ya Archie....got to find some reference studio headphones. I purchase the Blue Bird SL for 129.00 and the HS8's for 456.00 plus tax on the holiday season sales.
You look and sound like a genuine dude! Respect i'm going for your choice
You helped me a lot Archie!! Thank you so much!!!!!😀
Hey @archiebeats, whats the name of your video editng application. I like the effects in your videos. Please share.
sorry im late but which one is the best for someone who is just starting out in making beats. I do have the the money for expensive ones but If their is any cheaper ones I rather have those
Don't forget the Sony CD900st's. For 189 bucks you get one of the flattest most analytical soundstages available in studio headphones. Basically the more serious version of the 7506's.
Does it makes difference between these and audeze lcd 1? I need to monitor vocals on film. Which should I get?
The GOAT came threw with another video. Keep succeeding King🙏🏽.
🙏🏽 Thank you!
The video i was looking for, thank you Archie!
Awesome. You are welcome!
Went to guitar center to try these out, the issue I has was they sounded flat AFTER mastering. I like that their eat cups though, won’t flake off like all these others. I don’t know if I’m missing something and that’s how it’s suppose to be so I’m wondering, how does that give me an idea of how other people will hear the music? Also it’s harder for me to get into the song I’m mastering when it sounds bland no matter what. Still learning all of this
Well I got to get two pair of studio headphones on a budget. One for me monitoring in front of the computer, and one for the singer/musician listening to an instrument.
What mid-budget flat sound headphones do you recommend?
Im about to buy a pair of headphones for music production and amateur mixing/mastering and I have 3 options at the same price in my area:
Beyer dynamics DT990, Audio Technica ATH40X and the AKG 240 Studio, wich one would recomend for the task? It really matters if its open/closed back? I've already have closed back ones for recording, i just want the best sound quality for the money
Amazing video! although 8 in comfortability on the Sennheiser HD 280?? After a few hours my head shrinks a little with the pressure of those headphones. 😅
just got my Sony headphones today and I have to say, they're really damn good
I produce my self. Rap. And also play guitar. Do you think hd280 or any of these would work with my guitar amp. I wounder if I should just get a cheap pair for the guitar. I’m not sure if the effects anything. What do you think.
Bro which Audiotechnica headphone would be best? I'd really appreciate the help
Great information bro, especially about the length of time to have the headphones on; you don't hear that from too many people. I am definitely grabbing some Beyerdynamic jawns! Appreciate you bro!
Had to subscribe just from the information you provided and the humble delivery!
Love my MDR 7506s. Have 2 pr and recommended these cans to all my musical friends..
I just got a pair last week and hated them when I first put them on, but now have grown to like them more and more breaking them in. Everything is super flat but that is a good thing. Allows me to adjust things properly. I mostly use them for my guitar through interface and amp sims.
I gotta say beyer makes the best headphones l love beyer mics too! Thanks great vid
I was just thinking about what headphones should I get until I came across this Video!! 😍😍 Thanks Archie!!👍
Hahaha, nice! You are welcome Andres! I'm glad I could help bro.
For the DT770's I'm assuming the 250 ohms would be better? Or am I getting it confused
Good review, I have the Beyers and the Sony. Don't know if it's just me but I find the Beyers Bass signature very weak. Sound tends to distort very easily at higher levels unlike the Sony. Also have the Audio Technica MSR7's. my absolute favourites....
What do you think of the HD 559 Sennheiser vs. 280Pro
Hello. I like the Sennheiser HD 280 pro because they have great sound quality and they are comfortable. Also, the cups are easy to replace. I hope this helps and thanks for dropping by :)
I found that the 280s were incredibly tight on my small peanut head? Anyone else have this problem? Thanks
@@t.terrell7037 it might need to break in, you can stretch the headband out a little and that can help.
@@t.terrell7037 They clamp incredibly hard, you're correct
Of these what would you recomend for those of us with huge heads? I mean the can't wear ball caps that are 1 size fits all huge head.
@Archie Beatz sir...I humbly request u to answer my question plzzzz...So does these headphones which u have mentioned as THE TOP ones in this video suitable for playing piano???.. plz reply .🙏
I have the Audiobox USB 96 interface, if I get the DT770s 250 OHMS, will I need a mic amp?
i got a mg10xu can that run the beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 250ohm version?
How would you rank them in terms of "flattness"?
Thanks for the tips great video
Thanks for the Clarity!
Best studio recording mic for around $300? I keep getting told about the Shure SM7B as a good one for overall work but am not sure, wanting something i could afford yet maybe record instruments like guitars etc and also write and record lyrics. Best bang for buck mic for all users around $300 or maybe whats the best clean sounding one for the price?
Which headphones will be best for the Yamaha p 125 digital piano?
Do you use all of them for referencing while mixing?
Hello Sir,
I have purchased Audio technica m40x headphone. Please suggest me should I go for Sennheiser 280 pro. I still have 3 days to return. Please please reply sir.
The main reason to buy AT m40x detachable cable.
"HEYYY", that was great. Thanks. Solid recommendation, helped me make my final choice
What did you end up choosing?
HEYY 🤣😂🤣
Chris James heyyyy🤣🤣🤣😳😳😳
@@erv.7663 what im wondering too lmao
@@erv.7663 im went with the DT 770 Pros 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
New Sub definitely needed this video thankyou.
The Hotboxin with Mike Tyson show uses the DT770. That was good enough for me to just buy them. I bought the 32 Ohm version though because I just want them plugged in to my laptop. It was an extra $20 if I wanted the gray version, I skipped that and got the black ones for $20 less.
I went with the 880s over the 770s have you tried those out?
Was up sir can you tell me about a pair of head phone I got they are SONY DR-Z5 THANK YOU
Thanks for the info!
New game, take a shot everytime he says "hey"

Shit, I'm drunk already, and only 3 min into the video...
Hey, i am going for the beyerdynamics can i use them without problems with my lowbudget behringer umc22? Any advices ? Actually i want the 250 Ohm Version because of the awesome nonflat cable:)
Hi, same situation here. How was it? Thx
@@theocaldas2820 i have got the Behringer and the closet beyerdynamics but not the 250 Ohm:) i bought the 80 Ohm and i am pretty Happy with it:)
@EvilSmite Nice! I believe thats what i want as well. Thanks for the reply
It's been so long since it was there I forgot the 7506's start out with faux leather on the cups
Hey, thanks for the video.
glad u said the mdr’s r harsh. they truly are
Yes but it's always good to have a few pair around the studio you know.
Are these good to litsen to music on like on your phone??
Nice and concise video, thanks 😊👍
Thank you. I try to be.
thank you so much! this helped a lot
Great video! I use the Sony 7510 and I think they are an absolute pleasure to mix on! But I’ll agree w u on the harshness, but I still think it’s one of the best pairs of budget headphones.
Yeah! Thank you. They are definitely harsh but great on the wallet lol
Have you ever tried the audio Technica ath-m70x? I recently bought a pair and am absolutely in love with them. They sound incredible, I also own a pair of 80ohm dt770’s which I also love
Yes, the ATH-M70x are great. I'm glad you love them.
@@archiebeatz awesome man. I know they get mixed reviews, some love them, some hate them. Good to see you enjoy them 😁
Thanks for the video! Question: will I have problems if I use the DT 770's plugged directly into macbook pro? Do they still hold up? Thanks
MKw sure you get the 32 Ohm version.
@@RichardsWorld hey, thank you for the reply. I ended up getting the 80 ohms version and I'm really happy with them so far :)
Hi bro
Need help compared to audio technica m60x please suggest me
Thanks man... appreciate it.
I use MDRs to record, but when I mix down I listen on DT770s, ATH m50X and Shure HD 440. The HD 280 is boosting bass too much while the 770s and Sennheiser 240, cut the bass too much. The MDRs are in the middle. I'm not convinced the 770s are flatter if the bass isn't there. I also like SRH 440s, Superlux 681.
“HEY” Awesome video
Thanks Andy.
Have you tried the AKG K371 headphones?
What do you think of v moda m100 ?
Nice list. Gonna have to throw out my ATH-M50s since they flaked something fierce, lol. Those HD280s look good. 🎧
Hahahaha, they are ok. The HD280s are pretty hard to beat in the $99 price range.
Mine broke after 1-2 years. I don't know if I will be able to get the right side back.
What is a good 90 degrees swivel headphones?
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
Archie Beatz - saw you had the sterling audio headphone amp. How's the loudness w/ all 3 headphones that you use? Looking at dumping my presonus HP4 for the Sterling, but I'm worried about the loudness. Local guitar center doesn't have a demo.
It's actually ok. I rarely use it due to my Apollo's headphone outs. I think upgrading to something like a neve headphone amp would be better but there's isn't a big difference between the sterling audio and presonus HP4. I hope this helps.
I love the DT 770s for bass and mids but the highs are a bit gnarly and flat. You could find yourself adding way too much HF if you use these as your main mix cans. But the bass and mids are great.
In general they are completely flat to me, owned for a month got rid of them got the Sony and haven’t changed headphones since
which sony u got? @@bigxrecords7375
it sounds like the volume of the audio of you is less loud, than when you talk about the headphones. (normalization?)
Hello. Thank you for these videos. The headphones mentioned- Are they good fro voice over work as well as singing. I do both but i don't want to invest in two different sets of headphones
Hi Fuschia! You are welcome and thank you for watching. All of these headphones would be perfect for singing and voice over work. Now the difference is quality. I just recently did an updated video with slightly more expensive but these headphones would be helpful as well. Out of this list, I think the Beyerdynamic DT770 would be perfect and the best. Also, the new video I'm speaking of is this one. I hope this helps and thanks again. th-cam.com/video/ulhUMZkMleg/w-d-xo.html
Archie Beatz it’s funny that you put an ! After my name- Fuschia! Is my SAG/AFTRA name. Ok cool. I was leaning towards the Beyerdynamic Dt770’s w/ 250... after I heard yu mention - my mind was made up. Thank yu so much- I’ll check out this video as well- maybe I’ll change my mind again lol!
It’s me again. Ok I listened to the other video - headphones under $300- & it sounds like I don’t need the headphones mentioned with the 250 alms (sp) I don’t want to have to buy a mic amp- so what do yu suggest if not the DT770 (I’m going off memory here lol! ) I want them now mostly for voice over work but I don’t want to have as many headphones as you have right now (lol!) I’d like to invest in a very nice pair of closed back headphones that will be awesome for voice over work & be able to use them if I have to do some vocals. I hope I’m explaining this correctly as well as asking the right question.
Great video my brother! Thank you and blessings.
Thanks Keyan! I really appreciate it.

Question for you have you ever used shure headphones I have the srh440a I’d just like to get your opinion on these if you’ve used them thank you
I rarely use shure headphones but from the few times I used them most of their models are great quality and gives you what you need out of them.
@@archiebeatz thanks for the reply and info I appreciate it very much
i really need to listen to some dt770's... they're on pretty much every list of people who actually know what they're talking about and don't just recommend whichever most expensive pair of rgb headphones there is out there... they're "older than my granny" and are still featured everywhere lol... there's even cheap amps out there for like 55€ that could power up to 300Ohm so that might be the way to go when my current set goes fubar lol
@@astheworldburns3590 massdrop to europe would make the 6xx cost the same as the 650 by the time i got them released from customs lol, and that's just too much for my pocket. take the dt770 as an example, i could get them currently for pretty much half the price of the 6xx without having to pay import taxes. that's the sort of compromise i have to take into consideration 😅
That's cool I'm going to go with your advice ..
Awesome. Let me know which one you go with.
