If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of your company facing insolvency, it can be a very uncertain and stressful time.
There can also be a raft of misinformation passed around about what may happen to you personally and professionally as you liquidate your company. This can muddy the waters and make it difficult to decide which course of action is the correct avenue to proceed down, or delay you taking the appropriate action. The longer that you put off a decision like this , the more chance that things can go wrong leaving you in a vulnerable position personally
In this video, we’ll look at exactly what will happen to you when your company faces insolvency: quashing any rumours you may have heard in the past.

    Hi.
Just wanted to get some quick advice from the prospective of a creditor. I have given a statutory Demand to a company, after having served letters before action and got a debt collection service involved. And the debtor hasn't paid and has ignored the stat demand. My solicitor is going to petition for a winding up petition to be served. What are my rights as a creditor to claim back in expenses during the insolvency process?
    Thank you

Sorry for late reply here. It would depend on whether the IP actually realises some funds and whether there are any preference creditors before you like HMRC. Sadly most unsecured creditors get nothing
