      I inherited my Mother’s 95 Corolla in 2010. It sat and was used as an emergency car til about 2015 when my Ford died suddenly. Made the Corolla my main car since my work was only a 15 mile commute round trip. Still going strong. Just recently replaced some ORIGINAL (95)parts. Radiator, rear shocks, alternator. When I had my mechanic change transmission fluid recently at 165k miles he said he was stunned. Showed the fluid Pan and all. Said fluid was like brand new and all the parts were clean and shiny. Asked why I had it done so soon?
      I’m like you’ve worked on my car for the last 5 years. As long as I had the car (2010) I’ve never had it changed. He just shook his head. 😂

    I drive a 2003 Corolla S. Had recently given it a repaint job (I've kept the original paint since my dad bought the car white sometime in 2002) car still looks brand new like the first day. It's entire system still runs flawless and have had zero issues. I only have about 225k miles in it but it still sounds brand new. If I'm being honest stick with any of the 2003-2005 Corollas.

    Give the Corolla Hybrid AWD-e. You'll sell more of them.

    • @lykoszero
      @lykoszero 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What is that and why would it make it better?

    • @MrLM002
      @MrLM002 3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      @@lykoszero It's AWD provided by a little electric motor driving the rear wheels. For the Prius AWD-e I'm pretty sure its a 7hp motor that is on all the time from 0-6 MPH and kicks on as needed from 7-43 MPH.
      So it helps you get going and kicks on as needed. for a couple MPG hit at worst with a sub $1500 cost increase there's almost no reason to not get AWD-e as an option, it'll certainly have a lower depreciation rate than the FWD only models.
      According to Toyota engineers it would be very easy to give the Corolla hybrid AWD-e as it and the Prius are built off the same platform and I imagine they could build an AWD-e Corolla hybrid using mostly off the shelf parts.
      In my neck of the woods there are many roads that in the winter legally require you to have AWD/4WD with snow tires or that you put on chains. Chains are highly likely to damage your car and they force you to stay under 30 MPH which limits your momentum, which when going uphill in the snow and ice is quite vital to not getting stuck. So for me any daily driver has to have AWD or 4WD and the ability to mount snow tires.
      So that's why they should add AWD-e to the Corolla Hybrid

    Even in the US, Toyota's infotainment screen looks like it came from the early 2000s. 😂

    • @naveenthemachine
      @naveenthemachine 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      At least it has CarPlay and AA
      And you can change the theme of the infotainment

    • @whee6506
      @whee6506 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Better save that for the Philippine market. We get a 6.8 in touchscreen with no CarPlay and AA on G and E. V and V HV have the same infotainment screen as the global markets though.

      Just talking about the looks guys. They're functional but Toyota loves their bezels.

    Calling it, want an escape from gas prices. Tesla model Y will replace Carolla as best selling car on the planet.would like to see ice beat these odds $ per energy storage, Just right time right place for Tesla , will take luck over skill any day. Hmm, did not see that coming, @ $ 4.00 a gallon,
    The financing arm , on 6 year loans , is a very quiet room right now . Same as Ford Transit Ice.

    I have a 2022 Toyota Camry SE, It has some annoying features.
    Do you know how to turn off the Seatbelt Chime, because when ever my friends / family members, never put their seatbelt it makes that noise.

    • @toyotausa
      @toyotausa  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Maya, congratulations on your recent purchase of the '22 Camry. The chirp noise is designed to bring awareness that a passenger does not have their seatbelt fastened. This is a safety feature and cannot be disabled.

    I have the 2022 corolla with the 6 speed. And the 2.0 liter dynamic force engine. I can get 91 octane for same price as 87. Would it hurt and or help performance in this motor. I doubt anyone knows the answer but thought id ask
