Trust me bro, if you think Bali is a Paradise, Yogyakarta (Jogja) is a heaven. I live in Jakarta, but I ever stay there for several years. The ambiance, the generousity, the foods, the cost living, the hangout place, the community, the night life, the events, even the vacation spot..... Ahhh, I really miss Jogja

Also, Bali is SO overrated. It's no longer fun to visit because everything is overpriced and somewhat racist on tourist. They ramped up the price REALLY FUCKING HIGH, borderline scam.
Trust me bro, Indonesia has so many different food, streetfood you can enjoy, and also is one of the best in Asia.

Yogyakarta is a very very diverse place, you will see a lot of POC (Papuans, Molucans, etc) there because they mostly come to Yogya to study. Add the region's culture, beautiful beaches, amazing mountains, and you'll have the best experience ever.
