This is one of the most unbelievable videos of trout fishing i've ever witnessed... and at an urban lake no less. Most are not even a fraction of this successful traveling hundreds of miles away at a mountain lake. I noticed that these so-called "hatchery" trout look almost salmon-like with the hooked snouts. The size, girth, and length of these fish make this urban lake catch that much more astounding. I'm lucky to hook into 1-2 fish in an outing - he caught dozens.. dang
Thanks for the video Jake! I always love watching them. People seem to forget how awesome all of our little urban lakes are... they are a great place to bring kiddos and they are close to home. Thanks for the reminder to “Get out and live!” ... keep your tips up and your line tight... sore lip ‘em all! 🎣 😉
Michael Mcfadden I prefer the South east part of the lake by the red mountain recreation center. Live minnows and night crawlers are pretty solid baits.
iis it stocked with all species or just trout? went earlier today and going back again this evening. I know its a bit warm for trout but cats, same concept?
So what's the story?!? I went to RMP yesterday and saw nothing, caught nothing. Where did all the trout go to? Does one have to go right after they stock it? Please help me understand
Alan Aho the bite can be tough. Most of the trout tend to congregate on the east side of the lake where they stock them. It is a really popular place so it can get fished out quick.
@@GOALFishing thank you for the reply this Christmas day. East side by the bridge, yes I was on that side near where you were fishing. There was a handful of other but no fish caught or seen. Appreciate the time and tip!
Live in Mesa and HAD to subscribe, great channel and content!
Always a good 😌 sign to see when there’s a new Goal fishing 🎣 video
@Jermaine Johnson Thanks!

Keep them clean
Looks like I’m hitting up red mountain this weekend! Great video!
I could never get trout or anything. I didn't know they stocked that park lol. Nice to know they do it's hard to find out if they do! Keep it up
Some nice trout man. BFG
I was at this lake back in September and caught only panfish. Nice to see they're stocking trout.
@Sparrow415 yeah they start stalking them in November I believe.

@ELRORRITO1 I hope you sore lip em all! Good luck man!
Wonderful...what bait you guys use at red top for trout?
Hey great video! Looking to fish there tomorrow for some trout any recommendations on what time to go, bait to use, and where to fish on the lake?
Michael Mcfadden I prefer the South east part of the lake by the red mountain recreation center. Live minnows and night crawlers are pretty solid baits.
What kind of pellets are you throwing out? Where did you get them?
@liquidsilver1969 I was using a little piece of worm not a pellet. I was just trying to match the size of a pellet so it looks a lot like one.
What time during the morning u start fishing trying to learn when the trout are active and hungry
Somly Som they are usually most active early morning and in the evening.
@@GOALFishing thanks I live in Arizona and never catch any trout before at urban ponds around the city

@Andrew Heitzenroder There are some bass, catfish, and carp in there too.

Hey jake I live in the valley we should fish sometime for some large mouth bass I know a few honey holes it would be nice to fish with you
are they still stocking it ?
Iross72 they should be through march
I rip fatty 22"s out of that pond every week on a fly rod. They never hesitate with a nymph fly. I catch them every other cast when they swim by.
@Nolan Magary awesome man! What kind of nymph you throwing?
Lower salt River was a pretty good trout spot as well bro
@Eric Henriquez I’ll have to give it a try. I’ve still been targeting the Bass.
Hi Jake I love your show. I’ve got a boat and I think we need to do a little fishing together maybe even a show? Let me know if you are interested!
Great video! Was this today?
@Blaze it was a couple weeks ago.
