What scares me is that the Texans have never beaten the Vikings in franchise history, but that can change this week!
6 sacks against the 49ers is VERY impressive, and I gotta give Brian Flores major kudos for this defensive turnaround. Another defense that can give Stroud headaches, but if Deebo can break 100+ yds and Jordan Mason can get a good game, then so can Nico Collins and Joe Mixon.
I have the Texans winning a nail biter, 24-17.
This gonna be one of if not the toughest defense stroud has faced. It is designed to confuse and frustrate to create mistakes.

Those box score numbers are misleading because Vikings played prevent defense in the 4th Qr in both game when they were up 2 scores.
Mason was great in the first half but the Vikings were running a very light person mostly for pass rush. They changed their personnel in the 2nd half and shut him down. Also that Mason kid is a beast. Takes multiple people to bring him down. Reminds me of David Montgomery
Honestly the 49ers biggest weak spot is probably their offensive line so the 6 sacks against them isn’t THAT impressive

@@bluethundar I like the Texans chances. Vikings without Addison and Hockenson, the weakness of the interior O-line, Stingley shadowing Jefferson with slanted coverage and a tenacious pass rush. We held Jonathan Taylor to one of his worst performances against the Texans, Jones is a good rb, but I believe Taylor is a top 4 rb in the league. The defense is good, but we have a few weapons to keep you off balance. Gonna be a barn burner for sure!
The Titans own the rights to the Oilers name and will never give it back. Fun fact, though: the final name for the new Houston franchise was split between the Texans and the Houston Apollos. I personally think the Apollos would have been cooler, and it fit the Space City theme.

Its really going to come down to coaching pretty much.
I’m not afraid of Sam Darnold if we can bring the heat on them and cause some turnovers we should be fine. But at the same time Kevin O’Conelle is probably going to try to scheme to try to get the ball out of Darnold hand quick so Demeco needs to be ready for that
On the other side is Bobby vs Flores. Bobby coached a terrible game last week he needs to get Tank and Diggs involved more and maybe scheme some plays to get Stover and Schultz going to move the chains and hopefully Akers can get us something in the running game since I doubt Mixon and Pierce plays
Stingley/Kamari vs Jefferson/Addison going to be great matchup.

He had to run out of the pocket and throw on the run almost every single time he dropped back to pass. But yeah, maybe they're just still getting it together. They better get it together fast though. We've got the third game coming up and they need to be ready to be effective.

I'm a Vikings fan and I think this will be a close game. What I do like is the Vikings defense going up against a great but young QB in CJ Stroud. The Vikings confused Purdy last week with several different looks on defense. They hyped up Hunter for the Texans but his part time replacement in Minnesota Patrick Jones II has 4 sacks in 2 games.
