Moss was just outrageously gifted athlete. He is by far the fastest, quickest, shiftiest 6'4 WR to ever play, and that is most potent skill combo of all.
This was Moss final season in Minnesota. Only play 13 games but had 49 rec 767 yd and 13 td. Andre Johnson also made his first pro bowl this season. This season also made the Vikings organization really believed they didn't need Randy Moss because Culpepper had an MVP like season if it wasn't for Peyon breaking Marino's record. Boy were they wrong because the next year had 12 picks in 7 games before tearing his ACL.

50 yard overtime strike in OT to end the game and Curt Menefee is over here having with the most mild way of telling us the game is over with one of the best games of the year lmao
Astros lost NLDS game 4 on this day that tied the series 2-2. Games each started at 12 pm Houston time. Personally, being baseball first, I watched the Astros. I got to this game just in time to see the OT loss. Also, Tracy McGradys Rockets debut (albeit preseason) was on this day also. Crazy (yet sad) day in Houston sports).
2004 That was a Texans expansion team that gave the veteran Minnesota Vikings team a scared 😂.. and Andre Johnson in his prime. Tomorrow Sunday a rematch in year 2024 with a superstar rookie Quarterback. Let’s Go Texans and bring us the Dub 🙌🏽🙌🏽
@@NFLVault nice to know I at least planted the seed for the idea 😂 I may remember that for a future game. I was a teenager when this game played; I’m a big Vikings fan and if this wasn’t the best statistical game of Daunte Culpepper‘s career, it was mighty close
@@NFLVault how about another classic from 2004 later this week? The Minnesota-Green Bay Week 10 shootout? A Culpepper and Favre classic - and maybe a tribute to Favre too after his unfortunate recent Parkinson’s diagnosis
Thanks. I know 2004 was a MEH year in some regards with the NFC being so putrid, but it's still one of my favorite seasons. Thought the Texans with Dom Capers could eventually get going, but the franchise just spun it's initial years for a while. Dominack Davis would have been great if not for that knee injury.
Moss would of had 25 TDs this season if he didn't get hurt against New Orleans (missed 5 games) in week 7. And Culpepper might of challenged Marion's record (threw 39 TDs)
Anyone else notice that the live score update shows Miami losing to buffalo in the 3rd quarter at 1:34, then losing to New England in the 1st quarter at 1:48? This must have been cut together from multiple recordings, but how would the different recordings of this Houston/Minnesota game be showing different weeks of live game updates? I can’t figure it out
I'm guessing the first score was some glitch on the broadcast. Cause that game didn't happen that day, and would not have been in the 3rd quarter anyway.
Dunta Robinson out of South Carolina was a real underrated corner in that draft class with DeAngelo hall who I think he was wayyyyy better than imo time flies Mike tice the coach who got in trouble for scalping super bowl tickets lmfao

I remember I first became familiar with Daunte Culpepper when he guest starred in George Lopez with Donovan McNabb that one time lol
Don't remember that I know him and Culpeper were top 5 QBs in NFL this year that changed quickly
That's legendary receivers going at it. Greatness in action
Thank you, Sasuke. Very cool.

Dunta Robinson was best db in his draft class who was a rookie that year !

Culpepper was a beast in 04.
Ya after boatgate and 2005 vikings he never was same for some reason Chris Hovan from Boston college fell off also

This is why I come to the comments. Love reading about the extra context for the season makes me feel like watching highlights from yeateradu
Two of the greatest WR that should’ve won a ring
Daunte Culpepper was perhaps the most successful attempt the Vikings had at a homegrown franchise QB after Tarkenton
