I'm mexican and I don't find offensive the yellow filter, but it has become kind of...lazy way just to represent my country.
Understandable
I've been trying to fix the 6th Harry Potter film but it's kind of hard since they put different filters on different scenes, therefore there is not one LUT for all of it. Appreciate your work!
have you finished it?
@@user-io1hx1zx7d there are 3 clips on my channel but a somewhat finished version I uploaded on mega nz

I love the look of that corrected Twilight scene! Works amazing for the forest setting.
I swear I don't remember that much "Mexican Yellow" in Breaking Bad. Oh well, time to rewatch it!
Thanks! Not too many scenes were that yellow, so maybe you forgot because of that.
Thank you! Amazing work! Some films do benefit from intense, stylistic color, but many are so overexaggerated.
Had me on the edge of my seat yet again! Another great video, Ivan!
Thanks Joseph!
I kinda like the blue CG in twilight, better then the orange one in the sequences, BUT the edited version looks pretty awesome
As a Mexican I think it’s kind of funny bc the way Mexico in breaking bad looks is definitely what it feels like sometimes
Very interesting stuff! You did a good job explaining the steps IMO
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
the edited version is too pinkish.
Do you mind me asking where you got the HDR Transformers shot? I'm interested.
Are your luts colour-management friendly? Do they work with colour-managed workflows or not?
Gus fling surely had some "high ups" from DC that helped his business
wow, edited version of breaking bad is sick
OH MAN. I want to do this color correction for like... every movie in the last 20 years. It makes them so dated and unwatchable. I'm so sick of looking at cinema thru bong water and urine stains
This is why even lowbudget 90s movies have impressive visuals by today's standards.
@@QWERTY-do4qrReal. Anyone who calls blorange "high art"....well My thoughts are extreme
Idk I thought Breaking Bad's yellowish colour grading is stylised and beautiful. At least it isn't bland or grey/ugly looking. Another movie where I think the yellowish look is beautiful is Whiplash
Yeah but I don't really like the blue tint in Twilight
said it before but ill say it here- you really do sound like an AI voice
FYI.. Almost hollywood movies always use orange-yellow colors if there are scenes in underdeveloped countries like Mexico, etc..
I don’t know why but I really like color grading. I feel like it adds so much “character” to the scene. It does something to it I can’t quite explain but it think it adds not subtracts from the experience
I wish color grading didn’t exist or that it was used only minimally, I like to see movies without it. I kinda like the sepia tone for western settings, feels warm and retro. Transformers also wasn’t too bad with its color.
Can't agree less to be honest, color grading is one of the biggest parts in creating a creative, emotional and cinematic look. It supports and allows the cinematographer to achieve what he was looking for, without color grading films wouldn't be the same
@@merakyraw Every piece of media doesn’t need a filter put on it. People don’t need a color everywhere to tell them how to feel.
@@user-vk7rs5oj2n its not a filter but a creative choice, movies look like that for a reason, All quiet on the western front has a blueish predominance to feel more raw, harsh and war-like. There is not a single movie without a proper and thrughly thought color grading.
@@merakyraw For the overwhelming majority of cinema's history, there was no colour grading. The most emotionally riveting films of all time come from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, when there was no grading. Ergo, it is completely unnecessary, and everyone using it as a “creative tool” is a talentless hack.
@@ArnoldTohtFan it would be a massive error to affirm that movies weren't graded back in the day. The absence of color didn't mean color wasn't something they played around with, every single piece of clothing and background objects were careful selected to generate a contrast in the black and white stock. And in revelation they played with how the film stock was reveled to cause a sensation or another, adding or removing contrast, playing with highlights... that is also color grading. They even painted manually some frames to add deepness to the feeling, so no, its not a talent-less hack but a craft that takes years to master and that makes movies what they are today.
some people, especially Mexicans, could find this offensive.
(proceeds to photoshop sombrero on the Mexican guy's head)
I know that BB is considered one of the best shows blablabla but for me, color grading alone was soooo exhausing on the eyes that I had to stop watching
Luts are filters on steroids
omg i dont even like Twilight and that makes it so much better
"fixed" right bro. totally
Amazing work!
Transformers looks astoundingly better like this
Breaking Bad is a Movie? 🤔
Edit: Either way, the corrections for Breaking Bad's colors looked better rhan the original...grest show nonetheless!
honestly i really like original transformers look
Impressive stuf. I can't lie...
absolutely stunning
Thanks!
Leave the transformer coloring alone, no need to fix there.
El famoso filtro mexicano
That was amazing!
🙌🙌
Hi, thanks for the video
Please upload English subtitles for your videos!
Great
One of the biggest reasons I’ve never gotten into Breaking Bad is that I can’t stand the color grading. It drives me nuts.
Correction "Made worse".
I disagree, Breaking Bad color correction looked better than the original in my opinion...great show!

Nah… you actually ruined the intent of the films. You wasted your time.
