Hi sweet friends! Today I am sharing a simple, natural, cozy kitchen for the fall months. I hope it's a gentle encouragement to you today. Xo Amy
Amy's Pumpkin Spice Granola Recipe - (I doubled this in the video)
3 cups of old fashion oats
1 1/2 cups of pecans or walnuts
1/2 cup of raw pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
1 tsp of sea salt
1 tsp of pumpkin pie spice
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/3 cup of melted coconut oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup pure maple syrup (double this if you like your granola sweeter)
Mix Together all ingredients and pour over lined baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Agree!! I’m trying to resist the urge to shop for fall decor this year. Things are weird and everything is so expensive. I think I’ll just get creative with what I’ve already got on hand.
It’s funny how we do not need all the latest and newest things but we buy a piece of land and continue to want the newest things and that big beautiful new build .

How beautiful for the children and your husband to come home, after a long day, and be greeted with a wonderful clean home with the warm scents of autumn. Creating memories like that are so lasting. Our daughters, who are older, do the same for their families because of those same memories.

Amy, you are such a blessing. I try to remember to be thankful when cleaning my home. I know not everyone has a home and so even when I am scrubbing my kitchen sink or toilet, I always try to remind myself that there are others in the world without a sink or toilet to clean. We are so blessed.

I absolutely love this vlog. I was walking my dogs around my backyard yesterday. I was in PJ's and my shoes were wet because the grass was wet. I was about to sigh because I was a mess, but I looked up and saw the most beautiful sunlight coming through the trees. My mind instantly went to the old hymn "Great is Thy Faithfulness." God gave me that moment. Others could see the beauty in the moment, but that second was just for me. I love enjoying peace in the midst of the normal that is my life...and that is a blessing.

Wow Amy!!! I am home from church this morning with back issues so decided to watch your video. It is so well done and made me cry. Four of my 6 children are grown now and I know from experience that they do remember all the special things that Momma did to make home special. Contentment is definitely the key!!! I’m 41 and I definitely remember all the ways my mom made our home cozy and beautiful when I was growing up. I’m glad she put in the extra effort. It really made our house a home!

This was so inspiring Amy. I will give thanks today as we are going through a necessary renovation, because some pipes broke upstairs. It's been since June so it's gotten very tiring. We are doing much of the work ourselves. The Lord chose to answer a petition of the state of our old 1900 home the day after the prayer with the broken pipe. It has definitely afforded us to Reno things we otherwise would not have been able to do. Be careful what you ask for. LOL. Your kitchen looks so good.❤

Love your channel and home always. I am retired...and a grandmother of 3 toddlers. I have less time now then when my children were home. But this is family... gods blessings...i am content with the simplicity and cleanliness of my home. Many ideas came from you. And makes me so happy. I can testify to the joy in small tasks. I recently had an accident that will keep me non weight bearing for three months. I’m missing the ability to clean my own kitchen or to dig thru the basement storage bins and select some fall deco for my home. It makes me so appreciative of what I can still do. ❤

Well I didn’t know a cleaning and decorating video would make me cry but here I am as I straighten up my kitchen 😅🤧 it is so tight and lately I have been feeling the same exact feeling. I finally, after 7 years of being pregnant, new born stage, breastfeeding, have found the next chapter of our lives and I have a little more time and it’s such a crazy feeling. I do Lots of reflecting as I go throughout my day to day and I’m so grateful for every seasons and stage of life we’ve been through raising our little family! Thank you for the reminder

I am so thankful I found you! I have been looking for someone with just the right touch of décor without being cluttered or black and white check everywhere. I love your simple yet elegant cottage chick mixed with modern farmhouse style. I want to thank you for reminded me to thrift and antique more often as well. I lost my husband in 2016 and had to downsize a lot in 2020 when I had to sell my large 4 br family home of 26 years. I am realizing I kept too much for my little 3 br 1 bath I have now. I will be doing as you suggest the next few weeks. Purging what I don't need or use and being thankful for what the Lord has blessed me with. Blessing Amy

Amy, your kitchen looks clean, beautiful and ready for autumn. I like simple decor and maxi decor. I go back and forth with using a lot of my pretty vintage items and other times I scale back. After downsizing a lot of my seasonal decorations, I try not to get caught in buying more things. Love the simple, seasonal decor. I always use pears in my fall decor along with pumpkins. I agree that wood, especially cutting boards really give a kitchen a feeling of warmth. I am 72 and have had a little kitchen counter lamp for years and years. Its seems to be becoming a thing now. The glow is so homey and cozy. The only thing that would make your kitchen perfect, for me... is to see a tree growing out that beautiful widow. Some arching branches and leaves would frame the view.
