When you get to the album Red, in her prologue she writes, "...there's something to be proud of about moving on and realizing that real love shines golden like starlight, and doesn't fade or spontaneously combust. Maybe I'll write a whole album about that kind of love if I ever find it." Several lyrics in the song "Daylight" references lyrics from that album...especially the song "Red".

She did a beautiful LIVE performance of Lover on BBC’s Live Lounge. You will love it. The MV for this too! Lover was a single as was The Man, You Need to Calm Down, and ME. ME was meant for young kids who weren’t feeling very good about themselves when they sing it. So if it feels ‘childish’ it’s written for a specific audience in mind. You Need to Calm Down was aimed mostly at people’s lack of tolerance, especially online. It is an anthem for the LGBTQ+ community and the MV has a ton of gay cameos (plus a few other specials 😉) in it.

I was here in your channel because of your Little Mix reaction for Confetti album and then I found out you are also reacting to the artist of my life, TS. Now, I'm binge watching your TS reactions. I respect you so much! Hope you're staying healthy. ❤️
THERE'S A LIVE VERSION OF LOVER, ACTUALLY MORE THAN ONE HAHA, BUT I SUGGEST THE BBC LIVE LOUNGE VERSION ITS SOO GOODDD ... SHE ALSO PERFORMED OTHER SONGS THERE
She has a number of different LL sessions. Her 1989 era cover of Riptide, and live Shake It Off; her live version of Phil Collin's Can't Stop Loving You is from the recent session. Comparing this to the Live Lounge sets from the Red album.. . . Or the concert at Harvey Mudd college. So many live sessions, so little time. Did she do her cover of Tom Petty's American Girl for the BBC? can't remember.
Soon you'll get better is a song dedicated to her mom and her cancer journey, and is so emotional that Taylor hasn't been able to perform that song live, and has done it only a couple of times, including once at the beginning of lockdown for the special that artists did for charity, she performed that song. Me! I love just because I love Brendon and panic at the disco so much. Their performance at the billboard music awards last year is so good. Also you should check her duet with zayn for the 2nd fifty shades of grey movie soundtrack, has a mv too.
i loved the way you payed attention to the lyrics and commented on them, because her writing is really one of the most special things about her! you should definitively do her other albums, I'm looking foward to see it ♡
I love this album, thanks for giving it the credit it deserves! I got to see Daylight live last year as my surprise song in Minneapolis, it was magical!! I love so many songs though, Cornelia St and DBATC live in Paris are such good performances!
I have to say, I've loved Taylor since she first started making music but I love seeing new people react to her that have not really heard her before..it really is crazy how talented she is. Thank you for your reactions! I love watching.
I can't wait to hear your cover of Lover! Lover is often listed by other artists as one of the songs they wish they would have written themselves and you can obviously see why :D Also, can I just say, that I vibe with YOU so much as a person. I can tell you are a real empath and I love that. Thanks for the content and the smiles. Can't wait for your next Taylor reaction video!
Soon You'll Get Better kills me. I lost my Mum to cancer in 2014 so to hear someone put down my thoughts in such a beautiful way is heartbreaking but beautiful to listen to.
I've been a taylor fan since her debut album, I was 9 when it came out and I'm now 22, seeing her grow and growing with her is just amazing and I'm super proud of her, it is so incredibly hard for me to choose my favourite album and songs because they're all different and great lyrically, can't wait for you to get to reputation and red
You can see a little of the creating process of the Lover album in the Miss America documentary, but it's just 2 or 3 songs. And there's a video for The NY Times about the creation of the title track. However, after you react to Reputation, there's a series of videos, here in youtube, showing writing/producing journey, that it's very complete!!
Keep an open mind when diving into her discography. You'll find tons of timeless gems in each album. Everything she does has a purpose. Be it repetitive chorus, the production or her vocal delivery. Great video. I'm subbing if you're doing more Taylor.
When I first heard the spoken part at the end of Daylight...😭she broke me!! It's the PERFECT closer for the album, especially off the back of Reputation!
She hasn’t performed all tracks because the tour was supposed to happen this year. But the ones she has performed are: Lover The man The archer Cornelia street DBATC Soon you’ll get better False god London boy YNTCD ME! Daylight (I hope I’m not forgetting anything! and sorry for my English)

Just wanted to tell you TAYLOR WRITES ALL THE SONGS ALL BY HERSELF . The co written credits are all the producers of the songs if you see . So its like when they work together sometimes one or 2 lines can be added by them . You know WE JUST NEEDED TO APPRECIATE THAT .
Watched your folklore react last night and woke up and watched this! Seen a lot of Taylor reactions but hands down your videos are the MOST the articulate , detailed and impassioned dissections of her music and songwriting!!! Dig it bro!!!! U a new swiftie 😍
Dude, I'm so poor. I'm a writer and come from a family of musicians. I am so adoring your reactions, and I want to share your joy in music because I experience that same delight. I want to be one of your patrons, but I am so stinking poor. I may have to do it, though. It's the genuine quality of your knowledge, lack of pretension to how you share, and playfulness all while bringing intelligence to analysis. Thank you for sharing your response. Wait until you get to Taylor's Red. And, well, yes. Enjoy Red. I was going to add a few other of her albums, but they are all great. She keeps getting better, but she's always been great. Enjoy your ride on the T-Swift Journey.
So glad you are getting to know Taylor. Every album has a different vibe, different sound. She doesn’t stay in the same box. She has played Lover live several times, but my absolute favorite live version is the Live from SNL performance. I absolutely love it. It’s the most intimate and raw version and it’s great. Her boyfriend is in the stands and she looks over at him and smiles. Miss Americana is the documentary, it is very very good. It is worth watching. It shows a lot of her writing Lover and Reputation tour. The documentary also chronicles at length why and what inspired her to write Only The Young, the song she allowed Biden-Harris to use for their campaign. Genius. You see in real time the moment she came up with the hook. Behind the scenes of Reputation is Behind the Song with maybe 6 or 7 songs. There is a Making of a Song: Lover. This is a short video discussing how she wrote the song. Of course she is known for live performances and her music videos which are iconic. Cornelia St live from Paris is spectacular as is Death by a Thousand Cuts, and she plays some of these songs also live BBC live lounge. Yes, Cornelia St is a true story. Most of these songs are about her boyfriend Joe.
I love when a man becomes a swiftie, I can’t wait until you get to rep and RED! Your mind will be blown with rep and your heart will break with RED! ♥️
You are in for a JOURNEY, my friend. I’ve been loving watching these reactions. Taylor is a genius. I can’t wait for reactions to Red, Reputation, and 1989. Would also love a reaction to her tiny desk concert!
I LOVE your reaction !!!!!! Swifties would like to tell you that her track 5s are usually the most vulnerable ones. But as for me, the last track is also emotional, cause when you went through a whole incredible album, you don't want this music journey to end! I feel you!! Can't wait to see your Taylor reactions, they make me so happy!
It’s ok, I was sleeping on her till 1989. And now I’m obsessed with her writing and how fresh her lyrics are. She uses basic words, phrased like a genius would. And her sound changes so much threw each album. Reputation has my heart though!
Oh my gosh! So happy I fell upon your channel!!! Just saw your Evermore reaction, now watching your Lover reaction! There goes my Sunday! Will have to watch all your Taylor reactions 😂 You are great!!!! Can’t wait for you to listen to Rep and Red and 1989!
I also love the line: "I ask the traffic lights if it will be all right, they say...I...don't...know." The three beats of those last three words are like the traffic light changing color, green, yellow, red. It's just so clever!
This was so wholesome to watch ❤️ And honestly, I always get teary eyed when the album closer comes, too. I can‘t wait for you to check out a live performance of Lover (song), I can really recommend you the latest BBC Radio One session by her, it features some songs off Lover and a beautiful cover! Sending you love, I’m already looking forward to the next Taylor content here!☺️
I have been a fan of reaction videos for awhile but have frequently gotten annoyed with “music coach” reactions because they get so bogged down the whole time in the perfection of the voice. I’ve heard people criticize when a singer feels emotion during an emotional song *insert eye roll here* I recently stumbled on you and you’re by far my favorite. As a trained singer and a human with ears, obviously talent is important when listening to an artist but as you’ve said- lyricism, emotion, authenticity are what make an artist enjoyable for me and what connects me to a performance. It’s not always about perfection, I think some of that emotion and authenticity get lost when all you care about is purity of vocal sounds. Thank you for appreciating artists for their artistry and not just perfection.
Michael on Folklore's Exile: I don't think it'll get better My Tears Ricochet: kicks your teeth in. Michael on Cruel Summer: I don't think it'll get better. Lover: hold my beer.
There was this one week where I couldn’t listen to anything besides Cornelia street live from Paris. Hope it’s everything you hoped for bc I know it was BETTER than I could’ve imagined. Thanks for deep diving into our girl. Subscribed 💘
LOVER REDEEMED TAYLOR FOR ME. I was kinda iffy with her during 1989 and Rep. But this album proves that she has grown so much and have matured. Especially with songs like YNTCD and Afterglow. YES- live version of Lover exists even on Spotify and actually listen to it more than the album version. Also prefer the First Dance Remix because if makes me feel so inlove even without a boyfriend. 🤣 Lover has a remix too with Shawn Mendes, but I don’t care much for it. Also fun fact about Soon You’ll Get Better, it’s about her mom battling cancer. She didn’t like to talk about the song in an interview because of how personal it is. But she decided to perform this song during an online lockdown concert for Global Citizen. Another is that It’s Nice to Have A Friend is actually sampled from a school music for kids in Toronto, so she supports them by doing this 🤍🤍🤍 I love Lover. So much. I could cry. My faves are Afterglow, Lover, ME!, It’s Nice to Have A Friend, and Daylight!! The rest are all tied as second faves 🤍 Pls do a video on Katy Perry’s Smile too! Personally think it’s this year’s most snubbed album and definitely deserved waaaaaay more ALSO- re artists who write their own songs and do it greatly, I recommend Carly Rae Jepsen and Mariah Carey
I'm loving these reaction videos to Taylor Swift! Seriously it's so fun to see/hear her music through the eyes and ears of someone hearing it for the first time! Ahhhh it's making me sooo happy :D I can't wait until you hear Reputation!!!

SHE ALSO PERFORMED OTHER SONGS THERE
OH YES THE BBC LIVE LOUNGE IS SO ICONIC! 🦋✨
@@robertthompson7242 oh HARVEY.MUDD concert, I looove that too :) Esp EYES OPEN
Soon you'll get better is a song dedicated to her mom and her cancer journey, and is so emotional that Taylor hasn't been able to perform that song live, and has done it only a couple of times, including once at the beginning of lockdown for the special that artists did for charity, she performed that song. Me! I love just because I love Brendon and panic at the disco so much. Their performance at the billboard music awards last year is so good. Also you should check her duet with zayn for the 2nd fifty shades of grey movie soundtrack, has a mv too.
i loved the way you payed attention to the lyrics and commented on them, because her writing is really one of the most special things about her!
you should definitively do her other albums, I'm looking foward to see it ♡
this channel is just...all good vibes? it’s so enjoyable to see someone enjoying something 🥺❤️
omg. someone who actually appreciates Afterglow... this is one of my favourite T.S song.. like top tier..
I love this album, thanks for giving it the credit it deserves! I got to see Daylight live last year as my surprise song in Minneapolis, it was magical!! I love so many songs though, Cornelia St and DBATC live in Paris are such good performances!
Just finished this reaction and I can honestly say this is the best and most genuine reaction of lover I ever watched. Kudos!
All the love in the entire world to you!
“The Man” music video was one of those that made the song better for me. I feel it needed those visuals to really nail the point in a satisfying way
I have to say, I've loved Taylor since she first started making music but I love seeing new people react to her that have not really heard her before..it really is crazy how talented she is. Thank you for your reactions! I love watching.
I can't wait to hear your cover of Lover! Lover is often listed by other artists as one of the songs they wish they would have written themselves and you can obviously see why :D
Also, can I just say, that I vibe with YOU so much as a person. I can tell you are a real empath and I love that. Thanks for the content and the smiles. Can't wait for your next Taylor reaction video!
Kristin thank you so much for your words you truly have no idea how much they and you are appreciated ♥️
WE NEED A REPUTATION ALBUM REACTION
I keep coming back to your reaction videos. ❤❤❤
It's 2AM now in my country and i can't stop binge watching your TS reaction videos. Please do more. :)
Watch out for tracks 5 on Taylor’s Albums !!! Thank you once again for paying attention to the lyrics!
Lover is an AMAZING song! That bridge!
Every Taylor Album has a different sound, that's why she is always on top. She never does the same thing twice.
I love that you love the traffic lights lyric!!! It’s also one of my favorite Taylor lyrics as well! In all of her discography!
I just absolutely love how Michael's become a Swiftie. Feel like a proud mama🥺❤
I LOVE THE AFTERGLOW APPRECIATION HERE IT REALLY IS A MASTERPIECE.
False God, Death by a Thousand Cuts and Afterglow are top 3.
I found my people. Every time I hear it I still tear up. It’s beautiful and completes everything the album (and rep too) we’re talking about.
i would just like to let you know that these reactions are my comfort videos ily
She hasn’t performed all tracks because the tour was supposed to happen this year. But the ones she has performed are:
Lover
The man
The archer
Cornelia street
DBATC
Soon you’ll get better
False god
London boy
YNTCD
ME!
Daylight
(I hope I’m not forgetting anything! and sorry for my English)
If you’d have told me last year we’d get soon you’ll get better as a performance before cruel summer...
@@Evast23 she was keeping cs for the best time
She wanted to cs a special moment but COVID destroyed everything
Just wanted to let you know that your videos give me so much serotonin! This is the 4th time of me watching all your Taylor reactions ❤️
You should watch all her official MV. There is a reason she wins awards for them.
I didn't know him TH-cam just recommend me this video and I came out of kinda curiosity, wasn't sure I would watch the full but then I had a journey with him. Now I'm glad that I clicked. I got my new favorite reacter here ❤️ the way he got emotional in daylight is precious and honest just like I get listening to it. Love u. ThAnks
Thank you for this you made my day better...your videos are so wholesome
I’m so glad you love the fun songs too! They get too much hate and they’re meant to just be fun
Your crying at the end is so beautiful!! Love your reaction man!! Taylor loves you!! ❤️❤️❤️
Michael: *listens to next song*
Oh no. ~THIS~ is my favorite song
Lol loved the video! Can’t wait to keep watching the Taylor journey
LMAO! She gets me so wrapped up!
Just wanted to tell you TAYLOR WRITES ALL THE SONGS ALL BY HERSELF . The co written credits are all the producers of the songs if you see . So its like when they work together sometimes one or 2 lines can be added by them . You know
WE JUST NEEDED TO APPRECIATE THAT .
Most of these songs are about her boyfriend Joe.
this whole reaction is sending me bc this was me august 2019 just blown away and straight vibing. i would freak out about every song 😌
I Think He Knows is so underrated. I’m glad you liked it!
Just stumbled across your reaction video ... it was a pleasure to watch. Your reactions were so genuine! Looking forward to watching more.
This lover era is very me, I frickingly love all those songs here and keeps playing it over and over
You've become my favourite reactor, ngl
Omggggg what 😱 HONORED
Editing out your DBATC bridge reaction is something I need to take some time to mourn
You are the sweetest person ever!! Love your reactions!
You are the actual sweetest person ever for this comment! I’ll gladly take second place
Great video! I can’t wait for your next Taylor Swift reaction video 💖
I also love the line: "I ask the traffic lights if it will be all right, they say...I...don't...know." The three beats of those last three words are like the traffic light changing color, green, yellow, red. It's just so clever!
you are a great man dude keep up the reactions
I so love TAYLOR! Her songs ALWAYS get me!
Can't wait for you to react to Reputation and Speak Now! Those are top records, in my opinion.
I’ve heard people criticize when a singer feels emotion during an emotional song *insert eye roll here*
I recently stumbled on you and you’re by far my favorite.
Thank you for appreciating artists for their artistry and not just perfection.
watching you react to music is SO satisfying
Michael on Folklore's Exile: I don't think it'll get better
My Tears Ricochet: kicks your teeth in.
Michael on Cruel Summer: I don't think it'll get better.
Lover: hold my beer.
Afterglow is my all time favorite of hers because it relates to me so much. It always makes me so emotional.
I love your reactions, I think that you’re so authentic and real, I’d love to see more of Taylor’s stuff. New suscriber of Spain.
There was this one week where I couldn’t listen to anything besides Cornelia street live from Paris. Hope it’s everything you hoped for bc I know it was BETTER than I could’ve imagined. Thanks for deep diving into our girl. Subscribed 💘
Glad I’m not the only who had the Cornelia street live from Paris phase
@@neensbal13 me too!
Omg i love watching your reactions! Taylor is talented like that..she surprises us every single time🧡
31:05: “Taylor’s just a chameleon”
You are correct, no taylor swift albums sound the same.... wait until you hear reputation
Well there's one similarity between her albums...
They're all Gorgeous 😏
Love your reaction Beveraggi
Another is that It’s Nice to Have A Friend is actually sampled from a school music for kids in Toronto, so she supports them by doing this 🤍🤍🤍
I love Lover. So much. I could cry. My faves are Afterglow, Lover, ME!, It’s Nice to Have A Friend, and Daylight!! The rest are all tied as second faves 🤍
Pls do a video on Katy Perry’s Smile too! Personally think it’s this year’s most snubbed album and definitely deserved waaaaaay more
ALSO- re artists who write their own songs and do it greatly, I recommend Carly Rae Jepsen and Mariah Carey
I'm loving these reaction videos to Taylor Swift! Seriously it's so fun to see/hear her music through the eyes and ears of someone hearing it for the first time! Ahhhh it's making me sooo happy :D I can't wait until you hear Reputation!!!
Also your reaction to Afterglow was me 100000%. I feel like Afterglow is the most underrated track on Lover.
PLEASE DO WATCH :
taylor swift AMA performance ( she perform lover live and her other hits )
Also, CITY OF LOVER CONCERT
MV: Lover, The Man, Me! and you need to calm down .
Live performance: BBC live lounge
I really like the reaction
All of her catalogs are amazing
Honestly, the live performance of Cornelia Street from Paris is one of the BEST performances she has EVER done. it is one of my absolute favorites of her live performances it's just so damn good
I love what u addressed at the end of this video so so so much.
I LOVE your Taylor reactions! (Love the Harry Potter in the background too, lol) You should definitely react to Cornelia Street live in Paris, AND Death by a Thousand Cuts live in the Tiny Desk Concert
26:57 "LONDON BOY", the voices at the main of the audio are the voices of Idris Elba and James Corden, both voices were taken of an interview of James Corden's channel.
OMG I THOUGHT I RECOGNIZED THE VOICE
