6 and a thing or 8 usually costs 3 on hero cards, not 2. Swinging Web Kick and Heroic Strike being the earliest, most straightforward examples of what damage costs in resources on a hero card. Magik's attack event is right in line with 2 cost hero attacks, especially since you can get it down to 1 for 4 and maybe a thing.
I was also dubious about Bloodgem, but after playing with it ... well, it costs 0 so you can play it every time, and that is now one less card in your deck, which is always nice. Then it can sit to the side, hanging out, until that one turn where you NEED that extra resource and boom ... you're able to play that final attack to beat the villain! Bloodgem is great. :)
I have never read any Comic run with Magik in it, but I like her in Marvel Champions. Usually, I find it tough to get into a character if I never read them. Does anyone else feel this way? Isn't it just better to play a character you love. I'm waiting for you Daredevil and Fantastic Four!
She seems awesome! Will def pick up AoA as soon as I get my MC storage solution in order. I'm a UX snob after all. Regardless, something that bugs me. So.. Morph can transform to other characters, like Mystique does, and sure when he transformed to Angel when they fell off the plane (in the desert) he got Angel's wings, makes sense. BUT the following episode (when they fought evil Jean clone, I think?) Morph transforms in Magik - WITH HER SWORD. How does that work..?
She’s ever so slightly a better hero than Bishop. Like a three-fingered top-shelf shot from a bartender with the shakes. Then again Mystics are my all time favorites. Did you know Adam Warlock brings the good pâté when you invite him over? Whataguy. The Cuckoos are the hidden gem in this pack. Mystic shenanigans at its best. In Protection Magik does more mischief in the villain phase than most. That includes The Witch.
The Master of the Mystic Arts thanks Magik for bringing him three copies of Basic Spell. Now get off my Sanctum.
