Our worst experience was tent camping at Vogel SP Georgia! Gigantic storm rolled up the Gulf of Mexico! We literally got washed out ! Had to pack up wet everything in the storm at 3 am ! Yup, fun was over 😬lol
Oh wow Jennifer, that was a bad camping trip. Hope you enjoyed the conference! Those ants are insane!! I'm glad you made it through the storm ok and that you are safe. I hope the next time you get out, you have a better experience. Have a wonderful evening my friend.
Glad you were safe from the storm and ant invasion. Hope your next camping adventure is better. Your dogs are so pretty. Thanks for the video! Would sure need a beer 30 after that. lol
I feel ya !! Have had all those camping problems! The ants could of gotten into that Co2 sensor? You handled it very well! Mommy said there would be days like this ! Lol 😁👍
@@poodleprofessor I actually keep a spray bottle of mostly water , ten drops of dawn , 6 to 8 drops of peppermint liquid ! Don’t shake it . Then spray around jack stands of RV if I see to many critters like ants ! Helps keep them away . Also works on wasps . And it smells good! Just a suggestion going forward. Thanks for sharing Jennifer.
Sorry things didn't go well on this trip. You handled it better than most people would have. Always wishing you the best. There will be some good trips down the road. Much happiness. 👍🙂
Wow, you went through the wringer at Cedar Hill! My dad keeps a bag of Sevin Dust in their camper- sprinkles a little on the ground near the stabilizers, jack & tires to prevent insect infestations. Hope your next camping trip is more enjoyable 😄👍
Hi Jennifer! So sorry you had such a terrible camping experience. The ant problem would’ve done me in for sure. Hope things get much better for you soon. Thanks for sharing! Safe travels! ~Jim~
Oh my what a trip. I learned the hard way about crawlies and flying bugs. Now i always have a large can of flying bug killer and permethian or biferin for a pumpup sprayer. Spray every place your rig touches the ground. When it rains reapply. Of course be discreet when applying.
O NO!! never had this kind of trouble with my RV, but some experiences like this at the deer camp long ago. The CO monitor beeps when the batteries are low charge also. Does that on mine. the ants are a real problem because they are attracted to electrical circuits and will short the system.
Our experience with the bait traps is that they draw the ants to them...therfore they come inside the camper where you have them...set them away from the camper. Also our LP sensor goes off so often that my husband purchased a battery operated one just to make sure there was no true leak! And it scares the stuffing out of us when it goes off.
@@poodleprofessor I hear ya! I know that had to be the worst night's sleep ever! Also good luck with that crazy sensor alarm. We have the 2019...wonder if they are just faulty units?
Of course, you need to show both Gemma & Jupe. I imagine that you do miss the pups when you have to leave them. I always miss my Baby Girl when I have to travel without her. That's one of the major reasons that I'm looking at Class C RVs. I want to be able to bring her with me. I hate that you had such an awful time. I would have left also, sleeping with ants means a sleepless night. I had a camper several years ago. I went to a campground on a lake once with a group of friends. We spent the day on the lake, came back to our campers overrun with ants. The camp host told us that it was due to all the rain that they had. My situation wasn't so bad, they were only in the kitchen, and I used the same ant traps that you used (inside and outside). My friends used spray and insect foggers to get rid of them. I'm glad that you made it safely home. Tornadoes terrify me. I know how to handle a hurricane, but tornado warnings are a different story. Thanks for sharing your journey. Take care.
Your CO2 monitor may need a new battery. Mine does that. Sprinkle cinnamon around your camper and anywhere that they can climb on your rig, jacks, power cord, water hose and tires. I’ve used this for Argentine ants before. Glad you had a safe place to shelter!

I would like to know how you got rid of the ants!! Bringing them back home would be a problem.....i.e. ant poison all around the outside of camper, so they can't escape! Sugar water in the circle of death? What a mess....
The ants are coming in through the underbelly. I can help you seal the underbelly correctly. I have a mobile rv repair business and would love the opportunity to help you.
Have you had a bad camping experience? This one was up there with my Girl Scout trip to Galveston where we had to abort due to a hurricane.
Truck camping at Guadalupe River State Park two weekends ago lol.
Yes!! I told you I had a bad experience too! I think this was the same weekend as yours!
Tent camping at Choke Canyon when it was 111° then a freak storm out of nowhere hit in the middle of the night was probably my worst experience!

I never thought about the ants in that sensor! My dad said they’re attracted to electrical wiring. Hmm

I think that would clog the spray nozzle in spray bottle.

Oh man. I need to go check the camper. Not sure what to do if ants are still there. I don’t know how the battery would be low. Hmm

Thanks Calvin! I didn’t get rid of them. Checking on the camper soon. They are crazy!

I’m actually working on a video about it! It really was a mess, but they vacated the premises.
The ants would have sent me to the nearest asylum.
They were really unbelievable, especially when crawling everywhere.
Was there a problem with my post suggesting a solution

Yes, there are several open areas underneath the camper. Where are you?
