  • Veteran textile designer, Peter Fasano, who has been producing hand silk-screened fabrics and wallcoverings in his Great Barrington, MA studio for over thirty years, recently welcomed four young rising NYC design stars for a collaboration. Young Huh, Patrick Mele, Sara Gilbane Sullivan and Garrow Kedigian brought their inspiration and ideas for custom fabric designs to Peter's studio and the creative collaboration began. Join us behind the scenes for an insider view of the process. For more visit: quintessenceblog.com/studio-peter-fasano-unveiling-latest-designer-collaborations/

    Garrow's shoe rosette was sooooo fantastic. I would love an accent chair or a couch in that fabric. Very special.

    Please can you tell me, how is printed fabric done this way better than having it done via digital? just a beginner in all of this

    • @marquamfurniture
      @marquamfurniture 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Apart from having a better 'look' (rather than the digital look) there's a beauty to ink-matched colors that inkjet can't approach. Screen printing with dyes or pigments penetrates the fibres and can print over coarse linens and highly textured fabrics. Also it allows printing opaque white on colored ground (seen in this video.) However for an extremely short run, as little as a couple of yards, digital is more cost effective as well as offering print on demand. good for reproducing water-color effects and full color photography.

    He made a repeat, yes. It can't be a square or rectangle b/c it looks amateurish.
