Is there a way to sync the lists in my ToDo with Planner projects or channels? Or are my lists individual to me? I want to be able to flag an email, then link it to a specific project - right now they all just go in one big folder. Could I maybe use PowerAutomate to do this?

In the "New" Outlook, i want to set a flag for the folks that i am "Sending" the email to, much like in the "Old" Outlook, when you hit "Custom" - any idea on how to do that with the "New" Outlook?

Sadly not at the moment, I am going to possibly do a new tutorial around using the New Outlook, although I think there's a fair few features missing still, to make a tutorial on it - so I am hoping gaps like this can be filled in the future

It is nice, but could be much better... When you click on the email in to-do, it opens it in the browser. Another thing is that there is no direct way to go to the entire conversation of the email like you can in outlook. I personally always need to see the newest email in a thread before I can take action. Still room for improvement. Just found your channel. Great content!

All great points to mention, and it's always a little frustrating for me too - as it feels like a few more things could make it even better, but they don't seem to ever appear. Thanks for your feedback too, and I am glad the content is helpful 😀

Yes agree. Recently Outlook force me to switch to New Outlook, and New Outlook without follow up function like Old one. I was searching the setting and now I finally found it here. But seems like a lot of step to set up a simple reminder.

Does sharing the tasklist also give permission on the email for which the flag was set? They might need that info.

When the Outlook Flag is converted into a Shared Task, the other party (being allocated that task) should see the e-mail within the Microsoft To Do Task. There is an option to 'Open in Outlook' but you will find that it does not work - as the e-mail is not shared within the person who is assigned the task in Outlook, but it does show within the To Do task window itself. At least that's what my testing is showing 😀

Regarding MS To Do, it is more complicated than Tick Tick or Anydo. This is primarily because adding a flag email to a share list requires first flagging, dragging to the list, and then assigning. I believe MS should concentrate on making this process simpler so that it may assign to anyone immediately. Thank you for the lesson; it is good.

Thanks for your kind feedback and I agree, I’d like to see more integration with To Do and Planner in Outlook also - so planning tasks becomes much easier from email and meetings
