I see you changed the video's title. as others have said, the road is not deadly, YOUR vehicle is. A Tuk Tuk may be a thing in India and Pakistan, but it's definitely not a safe vehicle, even more so when you're not wearing a safety belt or helmet. remember, you are riding a motorcycle with a roof.

To be fair, the vehicle is extremely rare in Brazil. Most people will pay attention and slow down. Not only to be careful but also to take pictures and honk.

The woman at the hotel charged so much for the stay because she knew there were no beds in the city. This is common in tourist cities. Hotel prices are cheaper or more expensive depending on demand. Therefore, it is best to make a reservation in advance. Anyone who arrives at a hotel unexpectedly (as AussieEspañol is doing) is subject to paying more.
I payed 189 R$ for one night in Salvador back in 2023. It was the cheapest in the area.

Just a tip about Patty, in Brazil it's considered a crime to leave animals alone in vehicles, it can be considered abandonment. It's also not uncommon for dogs to be stolen here. The best thing is to keep her with you most of The time.

The whole trip is totally illegal, the vehicle has no seat belts, there are no helmets involved, they ride on the side of the road which is totally illegal, the vehicle is not allowed on such main roads, the lower speed limit is not reached...besides the whole planning skipping everything in the way is such a shame. I am not desiring bad things but breaking the law is not a good way to do things anywhere. Try yourself to do such a nonsense trip with such a innadapted vehicle in Australia and see if it works well.

It's the most calm and safe touristic town i've been in Brasil and it has a lot of hiking trails, good restaurants with fresh seafood and if you cross the island (if you do so, better pay for a guide with a 4x4 car) all the way to the oceanside there's a beach with wide open sea view

Last year a Brazilian TH-camr Just like him died with his dog in the US triying to get to, guess what, Alaska. He was on a VW Beetle, i think its still safer that a Tuk Tuk.
You should be more respectful and follow the local traffic laws. Yes, we have the laws to follow and we don’t live in a jungle where everyone can do whatever they want. When I went to Australia and spent a year there as an international student, I always followed the local laws. 😒

All of these are serious traffic violations, and if he was Brazilian, he would have had his driver's license suspended.

I am really kind of upset with the Brazilian leg of your trip.
I have being following your channel for a while, and was really excited to see you going to some amazing places in Brazil, but instead, you crossed the whole south coast only showing highways, unattractive gas stations, and some awful places to eat. You just missed some of the best backroads, wonderful beaches, and probably some of the best food in Latin America.
On this episode you got stuck at São João celebration, the second most important popular party in Brazil, and you were absolutely clueless!
I understand how good is to travel with you best buddy, however you missed some of the best that Brazil can offer.
And if you allow me to give you a final recommendation, in Brazil you don’t compare the food with Argentina, and vice versa. These are such different countries, and cultures that no such comparison makes any sense.
I look forward that you start to find the real Brazil sooner than later.

Brazil is such a vast country with such varied culture and nature. So much to see and experience that a lot will always be missed, when a couple of lifetimes won't be enough to cover all.

Get a enclosed roof top ski or surf board carrier. You can put most of your stuff in it & free up space inside your Tuk-Tuk. Don't sing anymore. Invest in a decent pair of tire chains that fit your rear wheels, might get you thru tuffer spots don't you know. Keep on Tuk-Tuking. Just sayin
