Not sure what's up with those flashes at the beginning of the video with the title 😭

glad I found your video! My SLR came with a 50mm FD lens and I'm considering adding a wide-angle to the collection. This was a perfect comparison.

Just the video I was looking for. I have the AE-1 and I wanted a comparison from the 50mm that I have and the 28mm I just bought online. Great video bro, super excited for my new lens to come in. Keep up the great work!!

    really chill video!
I've had a 50mm f/1.8 for years (before I even got into shooting on film)
and now that I have a Canon A-1 Im looking to get the 28mm, I honestly prefer wider angle lenses

Yeah the 28mm has been my go-to walk-around lens. It's wide but not too wide but also not too close to a 35mm. Glad you took the time to comment! 🙏🏼

Reallly helpful! My two film cameras have a 50mm but that focal length does not work good for street photography, specially in Mexico City where everything is crowded and there's little room to move around. Gonna get that sweet 28mm.

As a general rule a 50mm lens is good for shooting things or a person, 28mm is good for scenes or a group.
