I got to see all of Vince’s games here at DKR Stadium in Austin, TX baby! But I wish this was a home game 😢He’s the best college football player ever. I can’t fathom what a senior season would have looked like. 500 yards of total offense per game might be the goal. Never seen anything like him before or since. 🐐
And through the first 3 quarters alone he rushed for over 240 of those yards on just 17 carries 🤯 That’s 14.3 yards per carry. Best I’ve ever seen at the NCAA level. I’ve lived in Austin for 27 years and been going to games regularly for 25 of those years. I’ve seen the best our school has brought to college football and our opponents as a collective in the same way. I’ve seen greatness here and from every Big 12 team (some more than others obviously. Texas and OU produce the most NFL talent). But Vince is the best college player of all-time in my opinion with what I’ve watched in 33 years of loving pro and college football. At 9 I had a notebook 📓 with every player’s stats from all my favorite teams and their games 😂 I’m a nerd in that way and proud of it I can’t fathom what a senior season would have looked like. I bet 450-500 yards of total offense per game would be his benchmark. He would carry his dual incentive to destroy USC: - 1) win us the game bc he won every big game and 2) to show the Heisman voters they were idiots. Our QB outrushed White (aka “Thunder”) and Bush (aka “Lightning”) combined I do believe. 200 rush yards and 267 passing with 3 rush TD’s vs a team looking for 3 straight natty’s on a 34 game winning streak. He also threw for 267 yarrds. The man had 7 rushingTD’s on just under 400 yards rushing and over 500 yards passing in back to back Rose Bowls 😂 That’s insane! His senior season would have been another undefeated season and natty and stats that would be unreachable. It’s probably best for everyone else he didn’t come back 😂 😮He was Superman. We never worried when we were down. It’s the closest thing to the feeling of the Bulls being down in the 4th quarter as I can remember in any sport. #NCAA🏈🐐
@@BigDave131they all played great but usc had 2 huge turnovers that cost them the game. 1 being reggie bush trying to lateral to his teammate kike he did in his championship game
The BEST college football player in history...VINCE YOUNG
That pump fake… still one of the best plays of that year!! Nasty!! 😮
Forever a legend here in Texas
Great game

Vince was Oklahoma and Oklahoma State worse nightmare. He ran all over them for 4 years straight.
267 yards on the ground. That is crazy.

Classic Vince Young statline.. should have won the heisman as shown in the natty
Vince Young was better than USC's 2 Heisman Trophy winners in the 2006 Rose Bowl game.

(COLLEGE CAREER ONLY) best qb in college football history no doubt 🐐
I always mention this game as like exhibit A of the first time I saw a person literally will his team to victory in football
Him not winning the Heisman is still crazy to me
