In the older 2ks, there was always more versatility and variety with animations! That has to come back! Been saying this for the last 4 years!! 19 was the last one
Idk about yall but I’ve noticed that speed is super meta this year for dribbling. Stand still moves suck, moving dribble moves are meta, moving cross & moving between the legs. Especially if you are taller like 6’8-6’10 and against slower defensive builds.
See how 2k acts when you stand your ground and not purchase B.S like gravity ball? Now imagine if you just didn't purchase 2k26 and just hold out for one year!

If they could just get rid of random delays in jumpers shooting would be great. Tired of sometimes having the shot start when I press the button and sometimes having it start a second late. How am i supposed to make a shot if it starts late and now im already covered again? Specifically talking about rhythm shooting. Havent been missing with it unless it just doesnt register i tried to shoot.
Yeah, I’ve been shooting lights out, but the dunk meter feels weird. I’ll time it perfectly in mycourt while connected to the server and it’s giving me a very early there at times lmao, it’s crazy. No way I’m missing wide open dunk meters after putting people on posters multiple times a game

Only problem I'm having is loosing control of my player. It sometimes just stands still and I can't move it to save my life. It just stands there and watches the ball. Other times it decides to do a steal animation for no reason.
Maybe it’s just a day by day thing because over the weekend everything was fine last week but when I played Sunday afternoon after I got off of work shooting was horrible at this point I’m just done playing this game. And what makes it worse you tell Mike Wang he acts like you’re going crazy so yeah maybe next year
I downloaded 25 a few nights ago after not playing for a little over 2 months to see what was what and I deleted it again…. Game 1 my matchup got error codes out literally right before the ref threw the ball up at the start of the game….. Game 2 matchup quit after 1 quarter of play. Animations are still TERRIBLE…. Shooting is still TERRIBLE…. Plain and simple the game is a dumpster fire and I don’t see it getting any better for the future. RNG and micro transactions have killed gaming 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
A big part of the problem is that shooting is not a set timing. That’s why all these tests are not valid….. it’s geared towards your visual cue… but sometimes there is a hitch /delay on your jumpshot… especially when you pre-load (hold shoot button before you get pass).
To be fair. I like wat ur doing with your vids. I just got 2k25 not long ago. Last 2k i played was 22. I am still struggling with the slow pace basketball and finding a good jumpshot. Dudes like yourself is the only hope in switching this game around. Anyone can put down 👇🏼 some bases for my 6'7 i would def appreciate. Im currently using Drexler, Bay, Bay. I like the hands but all the good bases have this forward jumps that im not really feeling 😭.

Tbh , I think chase down needs a nerf…. 2k lied about make the court bigger. There’s no way that if I’m at the basket already the center dropping from the corner should be able to cancel me out of a dunk animation. And then not even get the foul call….. Not gonna get into the screens because those been broken for so much time it’s crazy. We pay all this money and get a decent game … but these steals? Are crazy seems like they buffed it. A guard with HOF unpluckable gets ripped more than a big brining up the ball. The locks who just spam (after losing 3 adrenaline as well) they need a penalty for spamming after . I get guarded by locks spamming 6 times in one possession, blitz steals? Ridiculous Here’s another issue ….. everytime someone gets a pluck or even on the offensive side of the ball. The offensive player gets the ball back 90% of the time, you can do everything right and they get the ball back. The contest system is HORRIBLE . So we have to battle against L2 cheese with a contest that when you jump and knock somebody to the floor it’s still says “weak or moderate”. This game is really in a bad state tbh and I have an 85+ win percentage across all modes ( rec, proving grounds , 3s , pro am 3s and 5s) because for some reason when somebody says something about 2k y’all assume they trash , I just want a better basketball experience! This game needs some serious fixes
@ maybe on 2s or 3s they’re moderate but on they’re 5s absolutely terrible , not only is chase down for blocks but also for animations in general so if I’m driving from the top of the key and the big goes for the chase down from the corner and I’m at the basket a lot of the time they can cancel my dunk animations

I mastered rhythm shooting 6'6 - 6'10 builds now everything is inconsistent. It'll either not trigger at all or I'll have perfect shot timing but it'll say Slightly fast on push tempo. Shits annoying they definitely fucked with rhythm shooting

Those builds are for skilled players. Theirs not a shot I can’t hit in the post. The fact you get Joel embed hookshot on a 6”4 is crazy. If you can’t break a lock down just put him on the block in high post.

rhythm shooting was fire first few months. I was shooting like 54/50 from 2 & 3 using it exclusively for step backs and hop jumpers. now it’s busted & I can only use it for standing shots
I just changed mine to patty haven't used all year. First game was wetting. Used the jumpshot i used all year before that could t hit the broadside of a barn.
Mills base is extremely overrated imo. Its been by far the most inconsistent base I've used all year. I switched to Kyrie and been shooting lights out again. I like to rhythm shoot and for me Patty base was not good to do that with

I bet it’s your quality of shots. Guards have to create for themselves and a wing gets a ton of catch and shoots plus dimer effect which typically you won’t get as a guard
I'm not having problems with shooting imo I've been using Carmelo Anthony base with Carmelo Anthony release/BamAdebayo release blend on very quick . I'm having success idk why I'm in the minority but I'm doing fine in 2k25
Before the big patch where they ruined paddle shooting, i was up near 65% , shooting 2k24 numbers with the paddles. It took some getting used to the stick, but im still shooting around 55% with the stick even after the patch. Thats off the dribble, on decent volume, with a 76 three ball. I have NEVER once done what youve described here, deleting the jumper and re-making it. Never felt like i had to.

Sorry i dont pay any extra money a month for some 2k labs thing that will make my shooting better i dont need it i play on rookie difficulty and im making over a 100 points a game with just my career player i played enough that i have my rhythm down good enough to win consistently i dont play people online anyway

Nobody wants to be themselves. Everyone want the fastest shot and to hit all of them. Poster dunk every play. It's really goofy at this point. Once I got to 99 I quit myteam AND mycareer forever. I been playing this game since 1999. They're trying to push us out and keep these goofy ppl that spend thousands a month on in-game microtransactions. If u make more than 2 players you waste time and spend money lol. Myteam is 4x more expensive than mycareer. If they can sustain this model than o well. If not o we'll too. I'll be playing PlayNow Online till they lose their rights and someone else makes a bball game
