There were so many errors, but we got a good overview of the game. When a location has damage, it is considered compromised, and you could not search w the base. Love this game! Thank you for the gameplay! Great job.
They say "don't judge a book by the cover" but seeing the game cover was all I needed to grab a copy. Really looked like some old comics my father had in the attic.
Same, literally saw it online, instantly ordered it and then looked up a how to play/playthrough video. The comic book look brought me back to being a kid in the 90's.
Hi Mike. Torn on this. Love Zeds, in part due to how customisable it is e.g. game length & difficulty. This looks longer than I'd be happy with playing solo (80+ actions), and the narrative appears to be more "on rails" e.g. first half focuses on evacuating civilians, 2nd half, surviving. I understand the expansion seeks to address that - will see how that develops. Holding fire for now. Looking forward to your review. Thanks!
I share some of those concerns, though I'm not as sure on your "civvies first, horrors second" point... I think there might be flexibility there. Either way, excited to see what the expansion promises.
@@OneStopCoopShop That's based on multiple comments on BGG. Specifically, once the 26 Evac points have been achieved, the latter part of the game becomes easier & less interesting (due to the evac decision space having been removed). Likewise, curious to see what the expansion brings!
Great video. I just got the game and partially did a read thru of the rules, so I didn't understand everything going on. But it certainly helps in realizing the rules are not that hard and the game feels extremely thematic and looks fun. What more could you ask for?
Yup, they are coin holders. I’m not sure what size… they were extras I had lying around. But they are the same size I used for warp’s edge and Arkham Horror the card game, if that helps
@@OneStopCoopShop I wouldn't say they need miniatures, but maybe that could explain the cost. I looked at an unboxing, the board is nice and big, some cards, some punch boards and fairly cheap dice and a couple draw bags. World Wonders is 40 dollars and Ark Nova is 60 dollars and both are better productions. I don't see what explains this cost and as consumers we have to expect more value and speak with our wallets. If this is value for you that's fine but it isn't for me. I paid 70 dollars for Mechs vs Minions. Probably the best value for a product in board gaming and a good game as well. I am happy to agree to disagree.😊
@edwardbrost331 sure, though it’s also economy of scale. GMT produces way fewer copies of each game than something like ark nova, so they are paying more for each copy’s production and for shipping. And mechs vs. minions is Riot games, so they can make it as cheap as they want with all their LoL money 😜

Dr McCoy sure tickled our funny bone! Elderly scientist busts out his zombie disintegrator gizmo!

Thanks Mike! Great video - very informative and entertaining! Really appreciate it.
Best. Playthrough. Commentary. Ever. Go Mike!
Glad you had fun with it!! :)

Yeah, can definitely see that!
"Because nobody knows that anything's happening until they eat someone's face" LOL
I spilled my coffee right there!
Hehehe 😜
Do the horrors do damage even if the player decides to initiate close combat?
Yes, and they'll still add to the infection cube bag. That's the big advantage of ranged combat... avoiding those negatives.

great video, that was helpful... a bling question, what do you have the Turn Order tokens in? are those coin holders? what size? thanks...

Based on a true story, of course...
The government hushed it up!
Thanks Mike
Looks a fun game...if being overrun by horrors can be considered fun! lol
I’m not overrun yet!

May it ever be so! 🤞🤞
The game looks fun but its grossly overpriced for some cardboard and cubes.
Can’t fully agree with you there. The box is packed full of stuff and heavy. Unless you think games need miniatures to cost more than $60 or $70 😅

@OneStopCoopShop That's accurate and I understand that but for me personally I want to see at least some deluxe components for a $100 game.
I was looking it up, expecting to see 40-50.
I was incorrect.
