Fun Fact: Demonik was originally in development as a game with the footage being used in the film. It was going to be released along with the film, but the company developing the game closed before it could.
Yeah. The company that was making Demonik went bankrupt. So the project got scrapped. Kinda wish someone would’ve picked it up in an acquisition and finished the game. I would’ve loved to have played it on the PS2 as a kid.

I remember Psy-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy was kind of similar. Third person perspective with telekinetic abilities. It was more militaristic than demonic, but addicting as all hell. It was set up for a sequel, but got shut down with a plagiarism suit.

When I was in college in the mid 2000’s this movie was on people’s TV’s on loop. Go to a party, Grandma’s Boy on the TV. Go by your dealer’s place to pick up a bag, Grandma’s Boy on the TV. Go into any dorm room and you have a pretty good chance of finding the person in there watching Grandma’s Boy

Love this movie. I saw it when it came out on dvd back in the day. This is one of my favorite stoner comedies. Me and my roommates use to get baked and watch this. Then we would be repeating lines back and forth to each other.
"Ive been thinking about getting metal legs..." lol. Also for some reason every time i see Kylo Ren from Star Wars i immediately think of JP from this movie.
As a 3D artist I can tell you if you made a game you'd have tons of project files, not just a finished copy.

Demonik was a real game that got canceled right before they made the film.
THIS MOVIE...was a classic to me and my friends during high school along with so many other movies like Sex Drive and more. Grandmas Boy is one of those movies that is near and dear to my adolescence. We just wanted to laugh and have a good time and this did it with me and my friends.

This is a great stoner classic.
Tech company CEOs used to be way more weird and unique. They were just nerds that made a good company and there wasn't a lot of competition yet so a lot of more unique ppl succeeded. Now a lot of the CEOs are wall street type ppl but that isn't how it used to be. Tech was a new industry with a lot of a space and no clear direction.
Dev teams used to be a bunch of dorks that drank mountaindew, got paid dirt, and slept in the office because they loved what they were working on. That is true of some startups today but since big corporations have moved in it has become less common.
The CEO in this movie is making fun of that trope. The eccentric guy that made it big and doesn't have an appropriate corporate etiquette.
Well this movie is an adam sandler movie,

The smoking scene with the monkey as well is one of the funniest scenes in that era.

I love how that scene shows the "monkey" freak out and try to bite Alan covert lol. Apparently he got a little too close while filming and you actually see it lunge over at him cause it was gonna tear up his face and the trainer had to call it off
Yes, Linda Cardellini was in a Freaks and Geeks and also the live action Scooby Doo as Velma.
I heard the people who made Scooby Doo got teased a little about why Velma was about as hot as Daphne instead of being more nerdy and plain.

I’ve got a great story for you related to this movie… years ago on an orchestra tour that I couldn’t go on. I had a bunch of friends that were still on the contract tho.
Shirley Jones (silver fox) was the vocalist for this orchestra tour.
One night some of the people in the orchestra asked her if she wanted to go to the bar with them and she said “yes”.
When they got to the bar, the movie, grandma’s boy was playing on TV in a couple of spots at the bar that were tuned to comedy Central, etc.
So they proceeded to ask the bartender to turn up the volume so they could watch the movie grandma’s boy with Shirley Jones there and just have a killer time . 😂
They also said she could drink nearly anyone under the table . 😂😂

This is my second favorite Happy Madison movie after Happy Gilmore. A good friend of mine worked on the sound crew for this movie. He has a picture of himself holding a boom mic in the scene where Sam, Alex and his grandma are talking on the morning after the party. I always look for his name in the credits when I watch this.

Interesting fact: Demonik was a real game that they were working on during filming and planned to release it after the movie built up enough hype for it. Sadly due to how critically panned this movie was and how poorly it did at the box office they scrubbed it. The company in charge of making the game went out of business shortly after.

One of my all time favorite movies. My high school English teacher is the nerdy looking guy in glasses and an orange shirt in the DDR scene. We used to make fun of him soooooo much for it 😭😭 “hold my jacket mr johnson!!” Now my little brother has him 10 years later and keeping the tradition alive.

Love this movie. I have been a video game tester for over 20 years.. alot of this is pretty true to life.. we had crazy parties and played jokes on eachother and busted eachothers b&lls lol. But there's no way to find all the bugs in a game and fix them lol most bugs are waved by production or go into the game at release.. but that's the name of the game lol but still just a fun movie

If you like this, Joe Dirt, waterboy, etc. You should really watch "idiocracy" from 2006. It's not the sandler crew, it's from the maker of 'Bevis & Buthead', Mike Judge. But it's also an underrated R comedy. Staring Luke Wilson, Dax Shepard, Maya Rudolph, and Terry Cruise.

Strange Wilderness is another R-Rated Happy Maddison production. It doesnt star Sandler, but it has a lot of the Happy Maddison regulars and even includes the likes of Justin Long and Jonah Hill.
I saw this movie on Comedy Central when I was a kid and I couldn’t stop laughing. Then I brought the unrated dvd when I saw it at a swapmeet and it was even better since it wasn’t censored 😂😂

@ITSAHARDNUGLIFE yea that's what I'm talking about. I doubt that was his only sketch of it. He has been working on it for years. If he is that good at sketching and has had this idea for longer then he has been working on it, then it goes to reason that he has all kinds of Notes, sketches, and other details JP wouldn't have.
I keep a copy of this and Idiocracy on my phone to watch when I need to laugh and improve my mood. 😂
