Yes this is such a great movie!!!, love that Sandler’s boy got to shine😁😁. I also always love to see these guys and Sandler are still great friends to this day.
I ironically re-watched this a couple days ago. I forgot how much i loved this movie. It's such a nostalgic movie for me. Also i love grandma so much (r.i.p).
I love how that scene shows the "monkey" freak out and try to bite Alan covert lol. Apparently he got a little too close while filming and you actually see it lunge over at him cause it was gonna tear up his face and the trainer had to call it off
Fun Fact: Demonik was originally in development as a game with the footage being used in the film. It was going to be released along with the film, but the company developing the game closed before it could.
Yeah. The company that was making Demonik went bankrupt. So the project got scrapped. Kinda wish someone would’ve picked it up in an acquisition and finished the game. I would’ve loved to have played it on the PS2 as a kid.
Had no idea! Thanks for sharing! If I had known that, and it had actually came out, I would have played it FOR SURE. This is one of my all time fave movies!

Apparently his name is always his own name in movies because he had so much trouble remembering his character name and responding to it. I'm not sure that's 100% true, but what I heard.
Fun Fact: A lot of the movie's budget was actually paid for with advertising deals. That's why there's many scenes with blatant product placement. Burton, DC, EA, Pepsi products, Xbox, Steel Reserve, Guinness, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, and Red Stripe are all displayed or consumed throughout the movie.
“ There was a a fire… and I had to save it from this baby…” -Alex “See, Dr. Shakulu gets it.” -Dante P.S. “The phone’s for you… I think it’s the devil.”
One thing to keep in mind is that Adam Sandler was in SNL with Rob Schneider, David Spade, Chris rock along with the late Chris Farley back in the early 90s. As a matter of fact, grown-ups was supposed to be released around that time but after Chris Farley passed away, they shelved it until they casted Kevin James in that role
This movie was played on repeat back when i had all my roommates (before i was married) My cousin actually personally knows the actor that plays Dante (Peter Dante) and he is just as crazy in person as his character in this movie
I’ve got a great story for you related to this movie… years ago on an orchestra tour that I couldn’t go on. I had a bunch of friends that were still on the contract tho. Shirley Jones (silver fox) was the vocalist for this orchestra tour. One night some of the people in the orchestra asked her if she wanted to go to the bar with them and she said “yes”. When they got to the bar, the movie, grandma’s boy was playing on TV in a couple of spots at the bar that were tuned to comedy Central, etc. So they proceeded to ask the bartender to turn up the volume so they could watch the movie grandma’s boy with Shirley Jones there and just have a killer time . 😂 They also said she could drink nearly anyone under the table . 😂😂
This is my second favorite Happy Madison movie after Happy Gilmore. A good friend of mine worked on the sound crew for this movie. He has a picture of himself holding a boom mic in the scene where Sam, Alex and his grandma are talking on the morning after the party. I always look for his name in the credits when I watch this.
I saw Linda in Scooby-Doo 2 and it woke up something in me as a 10 year old. 12 year old when i saw this? UFFFFFFF, the blonde hair brought her power level over 9000
The title, alone, for this reaction brought so much nostalgia! Interesting fact: Demonik was a real game that they were working on during filming and planned to release it after the movie built up enough hype for it. Sadly due to how critically panned this movie was and how poorly it did at the box office they scrubbed it. The company in charge of making the game went out of business shortly after.
Love this movie. I have been a video game tester for over 20 years.. alot of this is pretty true to life.. we had crazy parties and played jokes on eachother and busted eachothers b&lls lol. But there's no way to find all the bugs in a game and fix them lol most bugs are waved by production or go into the game at release.. but that's the name of the game lol but still just a fun movie

I saw this movie on Comedy Central when I was a kid and I couldn’t stop laughing. Then I brought the unrated dvd when I saw it at a swapmeet and it was even better since it wasn’t censored 😂😂
One of the funniest little easter eggs is that the chill Boss is playing the same character he was playing in Happy Gilmore as the golfer that told Happy to "send the ball home"

I like watching videos with both of you in it. I recently broke up with my girl and your videos feel wholesome giving me hope that there are couples out there that make it happen
That's one thing i never did understand. Even if he didn't have another copy of the game, he had all the artwork in his scetch book. How would JP explain any of that?
@ITSAHARDNUGLIFE yea that's what I'm talking about. I doubt that was his only sketch of it. He has been working on it for years. If he is that good at sketching and has had this idea for longer then he has been working on it, then it goes to reason that he has all kinds of Notes, sketches, and other details JP wouldn't have.
I freakin' love this movie, lol. Those spontaneous parties where you wake up the next morning like, "Did I hallucinate a party last night?!" are the BEST. This is just a fun little movie.
If you like this, Joe Dirt, waterboy, etc. You should really watch "idiocracy" from 2006. It's not the sandler crew, it's from the maker of 'Bevis & Buthead', Mike Judge. But it's also an underrated R comedy. Staring Luke Wilson, Dax Shepard, Maya Rudolph, and Terry Cruise.
Allen Covert (Grandma's Boy) was actually my neighbor's brother. I was still just in 14-15 years old when it came out, but remember them having a big party in my neighborhood and even meeting him before the night was over. I've watched it over the years because of my personal connection to it but also because it was probably 1 of 10 movies back then that had a Marijuana plot so it was always playing at someone's place in college. Patrick Cc: just made a video called "Friends of Adam Sandler" and it goes more into how he met each friend, who later became costars and writers of future movies, thought you two might be interested in checking it out as well, some craziness went on with the Weed Dealer from this movie 🤯

Such an amazing culture classic! I had this on VHS and DVD and used to watch it all the time! It's one of the few movies starring ADam Sandlers buddies w/o him.
Deuce Bigalow 1 and 2, Funny People and The Wrong Missy are all R rated Happy Madison films as well. If y'all haven't seen The Wrong Missy you need to watch it. It's pretty much the funniest more recent movie I've watched lately.
I'm absolutely loving the late 90's reactions! You two should check out Dazed and Confused. When I was a teenager, this movie made me wish that I lived during that time. Just good times with some mischief in the 70's. Great sound track too. Thanks for the content!

Such an amazing culture classic! I had this on VHS and DVD and used to watch it all the time! It's one of the few movies starring ADam Sandlers buddies w/o him.
The whole point was just pure humor. I am glad you two enjoyed it. It was just meant to be completely off the chain :)
Deuce Bigalow 1 and 2, Funny People and The Wrong Missy are all R rated Happy Madison films as well. If y'all haven't seen The Wrong Missy you need to watch it. It's pretty much the funniest more recent movie I've watched lately.
The best Adam Sandler movies are the ones that he's not in
Grandma's Boy
The House Bunny
Strange wilderness
Bucky Larson born to be a star
Joe Dirt
I'm absolutely loving the late 90's reactions! You two should check out Dazed and Confused. When I was a teenager, this movie made me wish that I lived during that time. Just good times with some mischief in the 70's. Great sound track too. Thanks for the content!
