I would have to say it would be 1980 give or take a year. I was a young teen working nights weekends and summers for greyhound bus lines(did that for three yrs). My dad woke me up banging on the wall near my door. "I am buying a stereo, do you want to help me pick it out? Get up!" I was blown away that he would ask me for my opinion. I had only been asleep for an hour or two. It was 9:50 am. (One of my fondest memories with him). We got to the store and I seen the SA1000 or 1500 it was a beast(Receiver). I told my dad "that is the power supply you want! The owner of the shop wanted to sell my dad a Bose package of base box and satellites, to pair with it. I wanted my dad to pair these speakers with the amp/receiver he was going to buy. My dad went with my choice. Over the years, many people heard that stereo. Some had paid as much as $10,000 for a newer power station and others had models of competitors from the same era, and variations in between. All were blown away by power and clarity of the pairing with a turntable by Technics that was a match for the components. The first needle to go in the cartridge was $210. The 2nd was $170. The Technics side by side deck and later 5 disc carousel, all sounded awesome as well (nothing matched the purity of the vinyl). He went and bought an equalizer for the system, and did not ask me for input about that. I would have told hIm to by a hologram or spacial/spatial expander instead of an eq. Recently I discovered my dad's stereo is now near worth monetarily, as much as the one the guy had, that he paid $10,000 for. That guy said he wasted money. He had a nice stereo as well. You could hear his for blocks. Was it worth $7,000 more than my dad's in productive sound quality, NO. Not in my opinion.
tengo unos parlantes así...pero me dicen que los coloque en un cajín mas grande..osea mas que todo con mas profundidad en la parte de atrás...sera que me sonara mejor el bajo en un cajon que tenga 40cm de profundidad por lo menos...?????
Non ho altre parole, sono colorate, ma altri aggettivi non li hai... Il basso non è particolarmente spinto, presente. Scusami, io ti apprezzo però... 99 db a quattro vie... Non hai capito che la dinamica è il punto forte di questo diffusore, purtroppo così non ne fanno più.

SB 500 made in Japan 1977 before 42 years ago good speaker
I have the same Technics speakers.....These speakers need to have a very powerful amplifier to sound really good....Only at high volumes.......
