  • It's been a while since I've just talked. Here's how I've been doing, including: what's been up with this new medication (Vraylar, which I've been taking 1.5 mg/day for 40 days on posting this video), the current minor down I'm in which followed a minor up, and what I'm planning on doing with my TH-cam channel

Remember the race in life is only within yourself. You being personally fulfilled is all that matters. Don't worry about where others are at. Love your hair btw!

I was on 3 mg Vraylar for a few years and then due to blunted affect my Dr Lowered it to 1.5 mg.I've been on vraylar for a little over 3 years now and it's helping alot. Try taking it at night. Makes alot of the side effects not as bothersome

Taken daily it can cause that initially. They usually scale back the dose to every other day because the half life is so long.

Hang in there, Vee! If there's one constant in bipolar, it's that things will always change, better days are coming...! I know I haven't been the best at being a friend, I am slowly trying to unpack all my bipolar/trauma/antisocial behaviors around it, but I wanted to reach out and let you know I think of you often, and I think of your channel often, and how impressed and inspired I am that you keep working on it. But you've always been a doer, so I'm not surprised! You'll find your flow and all the things you are hoping for will follow! Living with bipolar is a full time job, but I think it gives us a strange empathy and a powerful spirituality, and I love that you are sharing it with the world. Love you!

Thank you Steph. You've probably nice that I have taken a long break from TH-cam. Currently, I am focusing on becoming a better writer and some other projects. I may go back to working on this channel, and I might not. Anyway, thanks for your words of wisdom. I think you are right about everything you said. Would love to connect again if/when you want to. Care about you friend

I am no longer on this medication. I've just been on Lamictal for a while, which isn't always enough to keep me out of pretty depressive periods, but I'm managing well enough with trying to employ as many other strategies as I can that I find helpful besides medication. Hope you're doing well too (I know it's been a long time since you commented, but thank you for taking the time to comment, and your well-wishes are much appreciated)

After a couple months, I didn't see it helping me in any way (and if anything, I was feeling less stable), do I did wind up stopping.

@@marciamarciamarcia1650 I have, while I was in the hospital, and it basically backfired... I somewhere have a list of it's possible side effects with the ones I experienced highlighted (if I find it, I'll post it). But suffice to say, it was no good for me. Right now I'm just on Lamictal (300 mg). Seroquel is the only other drug that I know works well for me, but I only need it to end a mania and only a very small dose. Oh and Ativan's great if I'm manic and want to manage without ending it. It would be nice if I could find a drug which worked for me with more mood-elevation than Lamictal, but I'm doing ok right now.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I love you, my human brother. Keep that chin up. Stay present. Life IS a gift, but don't compare yourself to others who are probably NPCs anyway. Lol. Love.
