    What a scenery! I had in between the feeling YOU are in a giant painting in a museum and work in it. 🖌🖼
    And then the many small fish! Wow, it's teeming with life. Now you have freed the little ones! Thank you!
    At the beginning there was a larch. Wow. Too bad wildlife is so afraid of us.
    I like brown bears. In heaven all animals will be tame, then you can cuddle them. Now I am even afraid of the big dogs.

    • @geneplumley4136
      @geneplumley4136  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Julia, 👋
      That is a neat perspective. 🎨 🖌. Once I got home and watched the video, I said the background almost looks fake! 😆.
      It's good for the fish as well. Many adult fish from downstream likely come up here to spawn. Dam #3 and 4 would have definitely stopped fish from passing.
      That would be an experience, to be around wildlife as you described. Tame and cuddly, lol. For now, just keep looking for the right bigger dogs. They are out there.

    Kinda cool how you have your canoe on the bank - kind of a signature mark for you. Do you actually paddle to the spot or how's it get there? Kepp up the great work - so much better than watching a former beaver dam remover drive around nowhere usa and complain about the dmv LOL 🤣

      I guess so, 🛶, 👍. It's funny you mention that. I was finishing up the video for dam #4, and the boat isn't in the frame. It just doesn't look right, lol.
      You bet, if you see that canoe, I used it to get there. Some of these beaver dams are pretty far from any road or trail. Plus, I usually have to check the whole water system I am on. I am going to get a drone eventually. It will help a lot with exploring quite a bit.
      Thanks for watching and commenting. it's much appreciated 🙏.

    • @geneplumley4136
      @geneplumley4136  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Bushcrawler. 👋
      Yes. Anything that is holding water back on these "municipal drains." Or if it is causing damage to roads, culverts, or personal property. No one (where I live anyway) can just go out and harass/harm wildlife like this. I have a license and permission from our local governments to do this. I actually get paid by them to go do this. It's kind of my dream job...😁
      Sucks for the 🦫's, though.

    i need to understand why this particular dam needed to be removed - it is not immediately obvious

    • @geneplumley4136
      @geneplumley4136  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jennifer, 👋
      Fair question. This waterway I am on is deemed a "municipal drain." These "drains" affect several properties and roads over miles of land. Each municipality/town has the responsibility of keeping these open and flowing freely. Although this one certainly wasn't the reason I got called here. (#3 and #4 are) I had to travel over it to get Dam #1. If new 🦫's are passing though there, there is no sense encouraging them to stay and make a new home. 2 year old beavers get kicked out of their family den to make room for new babies. That's how they end up here in these drains. Also, the people who pay me to do this... said do it, lol. It's the best job ever, 👍
      Let men know if you have other questions.
      Thanks for watching.
