I grew up with Carolyn Myss books in my house. At 40 years old i have moved in to an assisted living public housing place in northern minnesota, usa. I am surrounded by the people who have been dropped off by society; its a nursing home for young people who are at the end. For many of us, we have been given tools that are ineffective or damaging, yeah everyone here has addiction issues and on the second of 3 floors its pretty scary. Thats all i wanted to say. It is pretty scary here.
I don't think most of us are "given" tools, we gain them by struggling, becoming aware of what's harming us, then learning and seeking what we need to do to heal ourselves and get to a better place. 🙏🏻

Soooo gooood, as always, yes. I devoted my healing journey this entire year to only being truthful, that's it. Staying as close to truth as much as I can be aware and present. And the package development of strengthening self-esteem is SOOO CORRECT. I was able to watch this LIVE during your Santa Fe conference and then continued to listen to it on repeat in between my health psychology classes for nursing students that I teach. Your work -- mystical science -- informs so much of the work that I do with healthcare workers and vicarious trauma/compassion fatigue. It's good to put the popular past beliefs about healing into perspective. I remember that there were a few different ways of shutting people down back then and blaming them for illness or trauma. Regarding your floors in the highrise analogy, what about people who don't like cities that much, don't want to be city folk,and would rather live on a homestead in the country.
This was perfect timing for me, to hear your message today. Such wisdom being shared so we can learn and grow our own spirits and souls. Of course , then we can share and help one person at a time , and , focus on how lucky & blessed to have internet so we can do this, but also communicate our own desires for a better and more peaceful world. All the knowledge you have, all of your time and experiences are priceless. I feel better about my mistakes than ever before because you taught me how to use the lessons from them more than anyone else has. Knowing - absolutely knowing that I am, for better or worse, to learn compassion, forgiveness and how to love myself so that I can help others to do the same. You are such a blessed soul to spend all of your time loving me and others enough to teach us how to navigate this life we've been given.
