As someone who's in his 23rd year being clean & sober it's amazing how much i still remember those nights face down on the floor coverd in my own 'bleerg' from all exits, with headphones on listening to this track & Undertow + Nutshell & jar of flies
I've been to 5 Tool shows and never heard SOBER... until Budapest 7th row center stage. It's been my white elephant for 20 years. Unbelievable performance. Best of the 5 shows since my first in LA for LATERALUS.
Congratulations ..I been dreaming of seeing this song live for 35 years.I guess its just not in the cards but I did see them live and that is awsome its self. TOOL IS FOREVER!!
Holy mackerel! We didn't get "Sober" at the Philly show. They sound AMAZING! How do these guys get better at their age. I've seen them 8 times live, starting with the Aenima tour in '96. Absolutely the best band on Earth hands down. Anyone who disagrees is flat out wrong.
@@rayromero815 They played Opiate at every show this tour to promote Opiate2. Damn good show every time though. We got Swamp Song back in 2019. Tool shows are the best!
It took me 4 concerts in a row to finally hear Sober🤤 All the shows were amazing but Prague and Budapest will have a special place in my heart forever🤘
I was at the concert. But love to find these videos on yt to enjoy the music and visuals. For me, being at a concert is so many different things. Running out of beer, going to get more, going to take a leak, losing and finding friends, talking to random people, helping one guy in a wheelchair to stop the other waisted guy in a wheelchair from grabbing a butt of a girl in front of him and so on...
Besides wheelchair story why in a hell would you mingle so much like you are in the bar or something and being worry about "losing" friends like you cannot later find them at the exit. It's Tool show ,stay still for fuck's sake.
I only made a video at the end so thank you soooo much for making videos of the rest of the concert 😀 I’m 9 and this was my second concert and probably the best one
Might be a controversial take, but I actually like that he doesn't do the ending anymore because it adds a lot more to the live show with the whole audience screaming the ending together vs just Maynard first song about living vicariously. Plus added bonus of him being able to sing for longer.
So all you, Tool fans spend all that money to go to their shows and listen to their music and to see the band, but Maynard thinks he is God and tries to pull some bullshit and hides behind the scenes so you can’t see him. What a joke.
Best concert i've ever been to and probably will be There's no way anything can top this experience in terms of live music Tool set the score real high and i doubt that ANYTHING else will reach a performance of this level
That was 30 years ago. He can probably still do that same scream, or the 30 second long one he does on the Grudge, but he doesn't want to risk blowing out his vocals mid-tour. I wouldn't either if I'm making the band a million dollars a show, facts!
Weird factoid about Maynard. I live in Scottsdale, AZ. He lives in Cottonwood, AZ, 1 hour north. ❤ Cottonwood is a neighborhood near Jerome, which is the tourist town. He does not live IN Jerome.

can only imagine such a relief and unleashed happiness you've felt with first riffs of this song, man!
@@alexandermakarov956 Definitely felt like a gift. Maynard hit the notes!
I like when Maynard keeps hands off his damn bullhorn, and sings with a clean voice
@@alexandermakarov956 not much bullhorn (except for HOOKER) in Paris or Budapest, for a change.

Because you got Opiate 2, I went to the show in Tulsa and we got Opiate 2.
It’s the same with Right in Two and The Patient, they switch every show up
We got opiate up here in denver back in January still the best show I've ever seen

Simply the best band on the planet today... I'm a lifelong Rush and U2 fan... they take music to a different level... thank you for sharing.
Soulmates 💕
TOOL IS FOREVER!!!
U2...lol
@@ms-eg9hr how about The Who then?
Only tool are capable of capturing attention so well that they make a whole stadium silent for the quiet part of sober!
Maynard has one of the best voices in all music! 🎤
Yeah.
I was there! when justin started wailing on the bass the hair on the back of my neck stood up! they killed it !

@@ms-eg9hr so much wrong in your reply. love it.
Danny Carey is a genius and a drummer that has a great sense of feel to his style indeed
0:56 damn the way that bass sounds is so badass, it reminds me of intermission in their 2002 tour
F##### as transcendent and perfectly performed as ever. The beginning of a transformation we've all watched in awe😮😯😲
I also was on this concert. It was amazing
Damn! Maynard sounds great!
And to think I was worried he’d never be able to tour again after his second Covid infection. He sounds incredible.
I only made a video at the end so thank you soooo much for making videos of the rest of the concert 😀 I’m 9 and this was my second concert and probably the best one
Nine years? you dont are too young too listen Tool?
I would have screamed the hell outta me if I had been there
Your band is only as good as your drummer. This band is very good.
This band can't be very good, because their drummer is way better than "very good" 😉
This is a history !!!
Danny #Carey rulez! 🥁
Eagerly awaiting the other '22 tracks, thank you in advance Mr. Goat.
Thanks !
I’m very lucky I’ve been to close to if not 20 tool shows, maybe only 16-18 and have heard I think everything except H and Eulogy.
The best.
Epic. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Please tell me you have The Grudge in your footage :)
It's like Sober on SPEED! Talk about the tempo increase! WHOA!
no body records better than you man , Love from Nepal
awesome!

This should have alot more view's
living gods
Super 👍
Bio prisutan. Jeeeej !
Porque nao podemos sonhar pra sempre
4:39 happens to the best of them… 😝
@Vdx Xxy Danny fumbles and drops a stick, laughs and shrugs as he looks at his drum tech.
@@TheJuliousness Hah that’s awesome.
Fucking rocks!
YOU ARE THE FUCKING MAN!
They did 6:00 so well
Where’s Maynard?
at 2:40 you can see him upstage right
in other words, if you are looking at the stage from the POV of the audiance, upper left of the stage
@@Bootchair he’s on the left side of the screen then.
He is hidden in the shadows
He considers his band mates the important part of the show so he stands behind at all times
I’m so confused.
Where is Maynard? How long do I have to wait?
upstage right

Yea he’s an interesting character for sure
thanks for the crap audio.
Maynard is the greatest vocalist of all time
Layne was the best
THANKS!
I died 2-3 times under this song.
That eerie music that starts around 4:55 is otherworldly

welcome to the club.

@@that1electricianoh agreed.. but for me, that performance is just pure passion. Yes, we all get older lol. I get it.
Watch the 92 concert they did at JC Dobbs in Philly, if you haven't seen it you are in for a treat! There's like 8 people in the bar
Just… wow!.
These guys are insane man. They are always tight but that ending was spot on!!
The sound and light also phenomenal!
I was there, my first tool concert🤘 goosepumps through whole show lol
1:47 That guitar intro is absolutely disgusting.🔥🤘🖤🤘🔥
Mother marry won’t you whisper … something but the PATH IS DONE

Accidentally started this song at 1.5x speed and it was DANCY
fantastic recording!
Since they do a concert in ziggodome i am a fan!! Before I do not know about them...
Sober cool
Fuck yes
La prima volta che mi fecero ascoltare i tool nel lontano 1992 , in Svizzera lucerna
I was there and I can assure you, it was as awesome as it seems and sounds...
Has any band from Hungary toured the USA?
The HU. Does that count?
Does any band from Hungary have as big a fanbase in the US as Tool has there?
Some shitty pop rock bands in the vein of the already pathetic Strokes toured during the 90’s and the 00’s.
Blind myself
Where is Maynard???
He's to the left of Danny up on the platform
Out of the spotlight. He doesn't like having a ton of bright lights on him when he's performing. Understandably.
Weird factoid about Maynard. I live in Scottsdale, AZ. He lives in Cottonwood, AZ, 1 hour north. ❤

I had to learn this song.
I'm sorry.
